Half of a philly cheese steak sandwich + onion rings

COVID-19 dine-in experience: We were looking for a spot for a late lunch at saw Marblemount Diner on the side of the road, so we decided to stop by. The inside felt like homey like an old cabin. The menu wasn't too extensive, full of sandwiches, burgers, and some fried seafood options. I thought it was a tad pricey with most meals being $14-$18. I wasn't super hungry so my mom and I shared the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and subbed onion rings instead of fries. It was the perfect amount of food! I also liked how the food was very hot when we got it. If I had been more hungry, I definitely would've wanted a milkshake or slice of pie! My only complaint was that we were seated in a booth sandwiched between two other booths. There was a hanging plastic barrier between the the booths, but I would've rather sat further away from other people.

Rural WA state (or any state) diner options don't get any better than this. The diner is homey and decorated with lots of local tchotchkes, and servers made us feel like part of the family. Menu is extensive with tons of options from burgers to seafood, salads and plenty of sweet treats like homemade pies and milkshakes. What made this diner stand out for me was that every single thing I ate tasted on point. The clam strip basket featured a generous portion of juicy, tangy strips and well seasoned fries. My companion's fried halibut was light & perfectly crisp, and the coleslaw side tasted divine (though personal preference note--the blue cheese topping was unnecessary). We shared a vanilla malt, superbly creamy and thick, although there are many other flavors to enjoy. Finally, the multi-berry pie dessert was a standout, overflowing with succulent berries atop a light and flaky homemade crust, richly enrobed with decadent portions of both ice cream & whip cream. Whether you're headed into the Cascades for an adventure or in need of a refuel after a long day of exploring, Marblemount Diner is the place to go!

One of two restaurants open in Marblemount when I visited in August of 2021. Actually came here twice looking for some dessert after a long day of hiking, only found it one day as their pies sell out quick. Food: I only had a slice of their berry apple crumble pie and a glass of milk. Ask them to heat it up for you and it is very tasty pie without being overwhelmingly sweet. They have typical diner food so lots of burgers and sandwiches at a slightly cheaper price than across the street. They have a long beer list for a diner. Service: Like I said I went twice looking for pie. I was not expecting them to run out of every type of pie, especially after having signs advertising them. Also during my first visit I went to order a beer and I decided to ask my waitress for a suggestion since I am unfamiliar with the local brews, she just shrugged and said I don't know. On my second visit I asked the same waitress for a recommendation on the kinds of pies they had, same response. C'mon! Location: Casual diner vibe inside and back patio seating. Plenty of parking out front and right off the main road.

I wasn't expecting much for food options so close to the North Cascades, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at this diner. My friend and I got takeout and ate our food back at our inn. Neither of us were too hungry, so we ordered some light snacks rather than a hearty meal. The soup of the day was chicken and wild rice cream soup ($6.50 for a bowl). I've never had this soup before but it was nice and creamy with the perfect amount of spice. My friend also got the hummus and naan dip ($9.50) which he really enjoyed, but I didn't eat it as I wanted something hot. My favorite part of the meal was their pie. I had a slice of their three berry pie ($5.25 a slice), and it was absolutely delicious. It's their most popular pie according to the server. The berry filling was almost an inch thick and was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. So good!

They are only open Friday, Saturday & Sunday for lunch and dinner. We stopped by for lunch after hiking in the Cascades. I highly recommend getting the Reuben sandwich on Marbled Rye bread. It has to be one of the best Reuben sandwiches I have had in a long time. Fresh corned beef, 2 slices melted Swiss and it seemed to me like homemade sauerkraut. Delicious. My husband had the Crackling Rose, ( French Dip with bacon and jalapeños) he said it was good. It was one of the most expensive lunches we've had in a while, 2 sandwiches w/fries, 1 soda & 2 pieces of pie, with tip, came to $71.00. Well worth it, I go back there, just for that Reuben alone!

Needed some lunch after visiting the North Cascades National Park and I'm glad we stumbled on this little restaurant! They were SUPER busy on a Saturday in the middle of summer even though it was pretty late for lunch- probably around 3pm. So we did have to wait awhile but since it's one of the few spots outside the national park, we weren't surprised. One of the staff members really loved our pups & we were waiting outside for our takeout and she said next time we can sit out in their back patio. She even brought a little bowl of water while we waited. Deluxe burger was big and had a ton of fries on the side. Also got a yummy milkshake.

No frills. Typical menu. Standard diner joint. Definitely the place to be. Everyone comes here. The staff know how to work it and they do a really great job. I was amazed to see they offer gluten-free buns for their burgers and some veggie burger options. The far-reaching wellness diet phenomenon has officially hit the cascades, folks. Food was good. Fries were soggy. Get some pie before you go.

Great place for a meal. I was traveling with a toddler and my wife. The waitress was very friendly and she even fetched a couple of toy cars for my kid to play with. We ordered a Golden Harvest appetizer and it was sufficient for 2-3 adults as an appetizer. We ordered South of the Border burger. It was really delicious and slightly spicy which we really enjoyed. We also had the Southern fried steak sandwich. I felt it could have done with some dressing or a sauce. It felt a bit dry. The best part was a slice of their homemade blueberry pie. Loved it so much we stopped on our way back home to get another slice.

Chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Yummy and huge.

This was an oasis after hiking at the North Cascades National Park. It's apparently a seasonal business, as they weren't open the last time I was in town in early spring, but the joint was hopping this time. Really good food choices (I loved the chicken cordon bleu sandwich) as well as a huge selection of shakes (huckleberry, pina colada and more). We had no room to try one of their famous pies. A return visit is sorely needed.

A classic small town diner in Marblemount. If your on Hwy 20 heading to or from the North Cascades National Park you will breeze through this little town along the Skagit River. It has the old diner feel and small town hospitality, the menu is typical American with burgers at their centerpiece. Some of the selections are quite unique such as the orbit butter and pickle burger, but I opted for the South of the border burger. We sat outside on the patio on a mild afternoon, the service was good and food came out pretty quick. The food was hot and met expectations, but nothing stood out, a decent choice in an area with limited options.

Cannot say we just discovered a gem since the good reviews were the reason we came here... Comfy place carefully decorated with awesome service, good food and amazing pies!!!

The food is good and all but be warned the milkshakes are $7 and inexcusably tiny. You will be left asking yourself why didn't I spend this $7+tip to buy like 3 meals for someone impoverished? Now we're both hungry

We ordered burgers and I asked for my fries 5x crispy. The cook adhered to my request and honestly exceeded my expectations. The burgers were stellar. Well assembled, not overly greasy, patties slightly charred at the edges and they didn't fall apart. Reasonably priced as well. Exactly what we were looking for, exceeding expectations for a small town, local restaurant. Service and food were so good we returned on 5/10. This time we ordered a pizza, burger and onion rings. The pizza dough was pretty undercooked on the bottom. The crust was done well however. I will give the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to a fluke as the service remained amazing and the rest of the food was outstanding. The burger maintained its rating from the previous days meal. The onion rings were fantastic. Perfectly fried and crispy/crunchy. I was able to break them in half/bite off a piece and the breading remained stuck to the onion. Also, if you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, this is your kind of place (I'm a Bigfoot enthusiast). Overall a fantastic experience. Shoutout to Bre for being a wonderful server. To the cook, keep doing what you're doing because that was food was delightful. 10/10 recommend.

And i have had Indian food from many restaurants and temples all over the USA and even Hawai'i. This food at Cascade is made with such good intention, you can taste it! Delightful! Pranayumyum for your tumtum! [i just made that up, copyright!] Truly tho. The food made by Chef Bobbi is like prasadam, only better! He makes everything from scratch. He caters to any dietary restriction or request. Most of my friends are meat and dairy eaters, and those items here are fabulous, too. However: i am a strict vegetarian [vegan], gluten and dairy free. Chef Bobbi is attentive to specialty requirements and wishes. He can basically make anything on the menu into a vegetarian dish, et cetera. FAVES: Korma [cashew cream dish], and The Pakura [vegetable fritter, breaded with garbanzo bean flour]. Chef Bobbi will surprise us sometimes with special samples of items. For instance, while i was breaking my fast from Lent, he served me a delightful vegan dal [not even on the menu]. They have brought out wonderful, colorful desserts that my husband can eat [dairy]. This Indian restaurant is a destination. It is absolutely beautiful, at the gateway to the Upper Cascades. There is an exquisite back patio. They have a rad bar section that opens for Summertime. Bartender Rodju will return!? Seriously, everybody has to try this place, and yall will come back! Postscript: if you have dietary restrictions, be sure to ASk! Also, if you are unsure about communication, use your translator in Hindi. Chef Bobbi also knows poquito Español.
