Lively place with great food options and we were lucky enough to catch the US World Cup game last night. Loved the club sandwich and the fries were great! The carrot cake looked fantastic, but we were too full to eat anything else! Great location for dinner after a day's worth of hikes.

Food was really good. Fresh crisp salad and delicious teriyaki chicken w rice and gyoza. My husband had the PNW burger. It said it tasted good but gamey likely due to wild boar. We enjoyed very much

I stopped here after hiking in North Cascades for dinner and we enjoyed the food. The service was the best we experienced on our 12 day trip. The spicy chicken was so good with the onions cooked on the hot plate. It was nice that that it came with a salad and rice. The steak with fries and veggies was also delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked. They also have a great selection of beer, wine, and cider! I did not get to try the dessert as I was so full after eating everything on my plate! The place is quite spacious and there's plenty seating. All the staff were great and prompt. The food came out quick and hot.

Easy and fast service as soon as we walked in. Lots to choose from the menu for food and drinks. As for food they had everything from Elk, Bison, Ostrich, and wild boar burgers to teriyaki chicken with rice. Salads and more !!!! They also had regular soda drinks, ciders, beer and wine no hard liquor. It was an interesting ambience with Korean decor and western American decor. They also had a beer and wine fridge area to grab and go as well as an area to buy little knickknacks such as coffee, mugs, hats, socks, and more. They also had desserts such as pies and cakes. Lots of seating indoors and a decent amount of staff to help with anything needed. I would go back to try more, my kids also enjoyed the kids menu.

Whenever we're exploring a national park, there's always one great restaurant in the area that we find ... and Mondo is it! Food is super delicious, and there's something for everyone. They have both Asian and American options, and they definitely deliver on their Asian cuisine. Start with the gyoza and then grab the bulgogi plate - very generous portions filled with great flavor. Plenty of drink options. Large menu. Lots of available tables. Great staff. Absolutely a great stop for lunch or dinner after a day spent in the national park.

The food was great. I got the bulgogi which wasn't even on the menu anymore but the owner was nice enough to still have them make it. I got a generous portion. We also got the jalapeño burger which had an actual layer of jalapeños. For it being the middle of nothing the prices are great. This is the only restaurant open within an hour just about and has really good food.

Apple Pie and Huckleberry Ice Cream from Mondo - July 2025

Our dinner at Mondo's last week was a pretty great way to end a truly fantastic day of travel and adventure. Full disclosure: We had originally planned to eat at the neighboring restaurant but it was absolutely packed last Thursday evening so with limited options, we found ourselves at Mondo instead... Everything happens for a reason because this spot turned out to be a pleasant surprise! We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, understandable since the hostess was clearly juggling quite a bit, but once we were settled things moved along smoothly. The menu is more extensive than you might expect, with a large variety of burgers that immediately caught my eye. I ended up ordering the Bacon Cheeseburger (minus the cheese) and wow... It was so good. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. It really hit the spot after a day of travel, hiking, and sightseeing. I also didn't realize my travel companion had a sweet tooth which led us to look at the dessert menu. I chose the apple pie and we split a scoop of huckleberry ice cream because when in the PNW, right?! Both were delicious and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The decor inside Mondo is quirky and cool with a welcoming vibe that is between a casual mountain lodge, a hometown diner, and an Asian restaurant! Our server was friendly and efficient but she seemed incredibly rushed and could've slowed down a bit... A little more attention and pacing would've improved the service. All in all, Mondo was a great find, especially given the remote location. It's always comforting to know there are solid and satisfying meals like this one waiting for you after a day of adventure in a small mountain town/just outside the National Parks.

If you find yourself hungry for some Korean-fusion up in the mountains of North Cascades and don't want to travel back to a big city, Mondo is conveniently right by the entrance of the national park. Pretty standard fare bulgogi, but good prices, good service, and large portions. Pretty good beer options. Poor cell reception, though. So if you want to stick around and use your phone, you might not have any luck.

Club sandwich was HUGE and had a lot of meat, enough for two+ hungry people! Cost wasn't too bad either.

5 stars for being open on July 4th so we can eat while traveling Imagine kims convenience store + a diner + middle of nowhere Washington. Food comes out fast. Salad and veggies fresh. Fries are awesome. Got the marble mont burger and it was great 2 others got bulgogi and lots of meat Very quick and efficient service. That felt like Korea. The classic 100yo fridge with classic Korean images ( see pics) I loved it

Right before the national park, there is this cozy and fun place. The salmon fish and chips were crunchy and satisfied my expectations. The service was fast and attentive. The decoration is a mix of many cultures and it is a good place to go right before a hike.

We ordered burgers and I asked for my fries 5x crispy. The cook adhered to my request and honestly exceeded my expectations. The burgers were stellar. Well assembled, not overly greasy, patties slightly charred at the edges and they didn't fall apart. Reasonably priced as well. Exactly what we were looking for, exceeding expectations for a small town, local restaurant. Service and food were so good we returned on 5/09. This time we ordered a pizza, burger and onion rings. The pizza dough was pretty undercooked on the bottom. The crust was done well however. I will give the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to a fluke as the service remained amazing and the rest of the food was outstanding. The burger maintained its rating from the previous days meal. The onion rings were fantastic. Perfectly fried and crispy/crunchy. I was able to break them in half/bite off a piece and the breading remained stuck to the onion. Also, if you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, this is your kind of place (I'm a Bigfoot enthusiast). Overall a fantastic experience. Shoutout to Bre for being a wonderful server. To the cook, keep doing what you're doing because that was food was delightful. 10/10 recommend.

The dining room was elegant yet cozy, with great lighting. The staff was also very friendly and our waiter was very helpful in aiding our choice. We ordered the Focaccia bread, the salmon momtadito and the tonnarelli as our entree. The focaccia was the only dissapointing item as it was very basic in my opinion, which isn't bad but just nothing exciting to write about. The appetizer, the salmon montadito, was probably my favorite item of the night. It was served on focaccia bread and drizzled with a truffle honey butter and sat upon a mascarapone yogurt. It was elegant and it was incredibly flavorful. The sweetness of the truffle honey butter was a great contrast to the salmon itself, and all melted together to make an exceptional appetizer. The tonnarelli was a pasta dish we split and was also very tasty. The pasta itself was a thicker spaghetti like pasta served with plenty of crab. It was tasty and it satisfied and I'd likely order it again as I will be back when my sister's visit. All in all, a great restaurant to spend a nice night right in the heart of Bellingham!

We came in for an early dinner so we were really able to enjoy the rustic ambience of this restaurant all by ourselves. As soon as we sat down the waitress was attentive and ready to take our order. I order the garden party off their cocktail menu. Snap pea gin, bay leaf vermouth, genepy, saline and pea shoot? I really was feeling adventurous with this one, a regrettable mistake. The first sip I thought I was drinking sea water with a touch of olive oil in it. I never send back drinks although I was close with this one, I sipped it throughout my meal. One critique I have about the cocktail menu is that every drink was over complicated with many exotic ingredients. There was nothing for someone who was looking for a simple craft cocktail. The table shared the Strawberry Panzanella, and once again I was accosted by an overwhelming salty and sour flavor. A traditional Italian salad consisting of grilled strawberry and focaccia croutons. The lemon vinaigrette dressing on this salad was salty and sour, and very overpowering. Unlike my drink we were unable to finish this one. I ordered the Roe Burger, which I had been really looking forward to trying, thankfully this one did not disappoint. Two smash burger patties that were thin, crispy, and cooked to perfection with slices of cheddar cheese on top are then placed on a bed of classic burger toppings. Tomato, pickles, and iceberg lettuce. This burger was served with crispy fries and garlic aioli. After my fist few bites my mind was beginning to change about this restaurant. We also shared the Reuben Croquettes. A super creative and unique spin on one of my personal favorite appetizers. These little fried pocket were filled with a delicious mixture of cheese and shredded corned beef. They were garnished with a small slice of pickle which was a great touch. For dessert we decided to try the hazelnut torte which was fantastic. It had a nice crisp outer layer with a soft gooey center. Lovely flavor and texture that ended our experience at Roe wonderfully. In conclusion our experience at Roe had its ups and downs but I left feeling satisfied. If you are looking for a unique culinary experience I would give this restaurant a try.

We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.
