Went here while we were camping and the food was horrible english muffin had mold all over and also had a croissant sandwich and the suasage on my sandwich was totally undercooked noone in my party was happy and when we spoke with staff only resolution was please have another moldy muffin out of the same package and another bad crossaint. Moe's in Darrington is one of those places that makes you grateful for good recommendations. Tucked in a stunning mountain-view setting, it was the perfect stop before heading toward Mount Rainier. The view alone is worth pulling over for--but the food sealed the deal. We started our morning with fresh, home-cooked breakfast: fluffy waffles, rich biscuits and gravy, and a cinnamon roll that easily ranks among the best we've ever had. They also offer fresh smoothies, baked goods, and coffee, all made with care and quality ingredients. The service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind--something that really stood out. We had planned to return for dinner, but ended up taking a different route home. Still, Moe's left such a great impression that we'd absolutely make a point to stop again next time we're in the area. Super disappointed as we have a tradition to stop at the Burger Barn across the street, however they weren't open so decided to give Moe's in Darrington a try since we love Moe's in Arlington. I don't usually write reviews, but Darrington Moe's needs to do better! The single burger was disappointing, tasted like sausage and actually had to look at it to confirm it was actually hamburger, no lettuce, no burger sauce. I ordered up for the tots, they weren't cooked all the way, they ran out of house or burger sauce, no ranch for dipping and the table ketchup was empty . $13.99 for a basic burger, nothing special was ridiculous. My husband had the BLTA and only ate half and tasted like something from a lunch truck. It felt chaotic and staff didn't know if they had sauces or not. Only thing good was the Diet Coke! The ambiance has a lot of potential, but please revisit your menu and kitchen stock. The Burger Barn will continue to be our choice for a burger in Darrington. read more

Stopped here the last few times I've been in the area. Food is pretty average and overpriced compared to other cafes I've been to. My girlfriend's soup was cold. My sweater weather latte was supposed to have pumpkin sauce in it but just tasted like a vanilla latte. Also found coffee grounds in the bottom of my drink. Service is acceptable. My favorite part about the cafe is the back patio area. It's nice to enjoy the outdoors and take in the views. If they improved the food and drink quality, this place would be great. read more

A lovely and cozy choice for your coffee stop! Our group of 6 stopped at this spacious, well-lit, and clean coffee shop on our way to North Cascades National Park. The gorgeous open space at this shop paired with the many windows make a great place to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or simply a cup of coffee. I ordered a plate with eggs, bacon, potatoes and an English muffin. A hearty way to start my morning - I was not disappointed! The food was served hot. It was flavorful and the portion size was good. I paired it with an "Sweater Weather" oat milk latte that was on the sweet side. I would've asked for a 50% less sweet modification but otherwise it was tasty. Great coffee break without heading out to Diablo Lake. We got two coffees and a garden sandwich to go. Both the drinks and sandwich were good and we were grateful that they had vegetarian option. Coffees came out fast enough but sandwich did take a long time. They do have nice open area at the back which was perfect to stretch our legs while we waited. read more

An adorable little coffee shop and café that's located en route to the North Cascades -- we stopped by during our day trip and made a pit stop for some take-out and ice cream. The store is really well-decorated, and they have a fun outdoor patio. The view is pretty hard to beat, and you can see some stunning mountains from the entrance! They serve up breakfast bagels, and switch over to pizzas and sandwiches in the afternoon. The Garden Sandwich was delicious and filling -- I appreciated that the staff offered to toast it up for me on the panini press, too! The Cookie Dough ice cream was a much-needed pick-me-up as well. I had heard about this place from a bunch of folks. It has a brilliant view of the Cascade range. The food and drinks both were so so good. The staff was the nicest! We got a spicy chicken burrito, avocado toast, caramel mocha and a regular mocha. The coffee was roasted by Cafe D'arte in Seattle. It had no more than two paper thin shaved pieces of meat. Basically, it was $12 worth of unremarkable bread and a few bucks of meat, pesto. The correct food was completely cold as if my plate of food had just been sitting somewhere the entire time. Heard this is a must stop spot if you're in the area and I agree. Not only is it probably the biggest coffee shop in the area but they have a lot of delicious stuff here! It's more than a coffee shop, and there's really good food options. outside there are picnic tables set up like a mini campground and tons of dog friendly lawn space. Check out their website for their event calander, it looks like they host some fun stuff here too. I saw loaded tater tots on the menu and this place won me over. The serving is HUGE. It's around $12 and I'd say 2-3 potatoes in this hefty dish. TaterTots + Beer Cheese + Bacon + Sour Cream + Green Onions. The tots and bacon could definitely be crispier and then this dish would be chefs kiss divine. The tots crumbled up instead of keeping their tot shape and quickly became potato crumbles. I also confused the bacon for pancetta, the slices were thin and salty but I looked back at the menu and it's bacon. We ordered two coffees, a white horse cold brew which was bucken good and a peanut butter moe which you must must must get on a hot day, it's the perfect coffee milkshake. read more

Cute space, and this coffee shop isn't hurting for business. Came in mid-day on a Sunday, and the wait in line was about 20 minutes. Be aware, the menu on the wall is incomplete. My wife ordered a salad that doesn't appear on the menu, after seeing a few salads go by. Maybe this place functions best as a coffee shop with ice cream, but I would skip it entirely for food. First, my wife's salad came out a good ten minutes before my sandwich. Service is super uneven. Then, my sandwich arrived, which was supposed to have turkey, ham, and salami on it. I thought it tasted smokey, so opened the sandwich to find floppy bacon on it instead of salami, but the staff didn't mention it to me before serving it to me. Nice place is inviting. Then you order and you think wow this is expensive. Then you get your food and you really regret coming here. The brioche is burnt. So crispy it's like eating a giant crouton for a sandwich. The Mac and cheese is horrible. No flavor. I complained, no offer to refund or make amends. Very poor service by teenagers. The waitress did tell me she doesn't like the Mac and cheese either. Oh great! Finally. It was $25 for a measly little sandwich and a 16 oz beer that they poured four times because the bartender couldn't get the head under control. $25 FOR THAT. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. A MUST stop when visiting Cascades from Seattle! Do yourself a favor and make the stop here. Conveniently located across from a gas station as well, so if you need to make a stop for gas.. you might as well go to the other side of the street and grab a drink, even if it's to go! The staff are consistently friendly as soon as you walk in. They have decent parking and plenty of seating. Lots of items for purchase including merchandise and snacks. I haven't bought any of their food from them, but if it's anything like their drinks, I'm sure it's amazing. They have seasonal selections that are creative beverages. We enjoyed our choices. Our coffees are always great. I feel that with whatever you decide, you can't go wrong. They also have cute outdoor seating with a fire pit and 2 bathrooms with a code that you can obtain from the staff. read more

This is one review I couldn't wait to add! My husband and I stopped at this place to grab to-go on our way back from North Cascade scenic byway. We just happened to stop there since They were the only ones serving coffee around 6 - 6:30 pm. We had never heard of this place nor did we get a chance to check yelp. My what a delight! We had 2 scoop ice cream (salted caramel and Denali mooose), turkey pesto panini and latte. Everything was so yumm! It's actually the best ice cream, panini and coffee since we moved to WA state! Hostess was very nice! I don't think I can have ice cream, coffee or panini anywhere else unless it's this good! Cannot wait to try out other items! A cute little coffee shop on the side of the road!! The interior is charming and has the old town rustic feel while having a modern touch to it as well. There is a small gravel parking lot right outside, fitting 5-7 cars easily. They have a good collection of coffees, standard and seasonal coffee beans for sale, ice cream, and merchandise. I think they have sandwiches and other savory foods too in the other room. Since we had come from a hike at the North Cascades, we all needed something warm. We ordered a latte and a hot chocolate, and they were both pretty average. The latte was warm and foamy, but the coffee wasn't great. It had a stale taste to it and didn't feel like it hit the spot. The hot chocolate wasn't any good either. It tasted like it was merely milk mixed with Swiss Miss.
