Revival Lounge is a delightful cocktail bar. It is a small, intimate space that made me feel like I was stepping into a speakeasy or a clandestine meeting space. The space exudes charm! And it doesn't end there - the menu! The service! The cocktails! The food menu, while not extensive, is absolutely fabulous. They aren't like other cocktail bars that threw on some food items to meet whatever requirements the state has for bars to function. Their food is just tasty. I had the pepperoni flatbread and found it to be scrumptious. My friend had the lasagna and loved it. Primarily it is a cocktail bar and I am thankful I do not live close because I have a weak spot for a great cocktail and Revival Lounge can stand among the best cocktail bars I have ever drank at. (And considering at this time Yelp advertises how many I have gone to one can see that is not a light statement). Their cocktails are fantastic. They feature classic prohibition cocktails that are perfect. That aviation cocktail I drank was smooth. My friend drank and Old Fashioned and stated it was among the best he drank. The seasonal cocktails are equally as fabulous. If you look at the "Walking on the Clouds" drink with its frothy top and pink color it seems like it would be sweet but it was balanced amazingly. The lemon and lime made the cream lighter, the bitters made it tantalizing. It was a delight! I ended on the rhubarb flip because I wanted to try one other and it was a great note to end on. Sweet met tart, went on a dance, and made me glad I was able to relax and enjoy the moment. The service is also top notch. These are the nicest people one can find. Just so nice! They were gracious and grateful. They were timely and thoughtful on their recommendations. Just lovely. I will be back again, likely in a year, and I imagine it will be just as amazing. read more

The meatballs tasted like Costco meatballs, which isn't terrible just not made in-house. Loved the variety on the charcuterie board, the bread was soft and the combo of the jam and blue cheese was delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive despite being busy. Offered recommendations based on our libations of choice. As things slowed down, we had great conversation learning about this family business and the stories behind the family pictures throughout the bar. So happy we found Revival and look forward to spending many more date nights here! Date night took us Revolution Lounge in Mt Vernon. Great speakeasy type of place. We tried 2 appetizers and shared the meatballs which were all delicious and exactly what we were looking for! The olive's were a great mix of kalamata and green olives. The dates were stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon and candied to perfection. The meatballs were just the right size and not over sauced. They were exactly how we like them. The drinks are also amazing. They have brought back some original cocktails from the past that looked amazing. My favorite was The Penicillin. Blended scotch, with a ginger lemon juice and a Laphroaig floater. What a hidden gem. It's unassuming and tiny, but it makes up for it in strong drinks, strong personalities,and a great time. There's a wide variety of liquor and a very creative cocktail menu, along with a non-alcoholic list (that can be made alcoholic). While they'll set you back a bit more than your run of the mill place, it's a great place if you want something on the higher end. The lavender martini and the hot toddy were high on my list, but honestly everything there is delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop in with your favorite people. What a fantastic discovery! I've never been to Mount Vernon before--have only driven past it on the I5. My sweetheart and I made a stop there the other day. What a charming town! We were lured into the Revival Lounge by music and open outdoor seating (as we are trying to dodge the virus in these times). The most charming, cheerful and informative Elizabeth greeted us and made us some fantastic drinks: Strawberry Basil Mojito, The Perfect Manhattan, and for our shared finale, the Vieux Carre, and since we love New Orleans, this was a perfect drink for a little NOLA feeling at this precious NOLA-flavored spot. Tip: The Strawberry Basil Mojito is gorgeous and delicious, and so chockful of strawberry and basil that it really needs a bigger glass. Karen, one of the owners, who is as friendly and helpful as can be, offered me two straws: something will get through one of them, she happily advised. But no. I drained my lovely water glass and used it instead. Perfect. Our other helpful servers were Judy and Rochelle, who also tends a brisk bar there with Elizabeth. The liquor options they have available are beyond amazing. I've never seen anything like it! They have a sweet menu. We love our food options:  Baked Brie with apple slices and warm baguette and Garlic Chicken Flat Bread Pizza. Both were gorgeous. The brie seemed to have a little honey on it, which was a wonderful touch. The pizza included pepperoncini, which was a juicy delight. The interior is small and was packed with happy people! Perhaps the finest bar I have ever visited. Excellent drinks, handcrafted right in front of you with quality ingredients, by knowledgeable bartenders. The bar itself is a beautiful antique mahogany and marble thing of great beauty. In addition to the extensive collection of liquors, the owner actually dries the fruit garnishes. Staff is attentive without being obtrusive. The interior is worth a trip, in and of itself. Gloriously dark, but not gloomy. Music is always great. Limited food is offered but not the "typical" bar food. Handmade and baked to order flatbreads is just one of the items. I love to sit at the bar, not only to watch the bartenders at work, but for the conversations. Either the bartenders or the patrons, good conversations are here. I love the featured flights they have each week at Revival. I've gone to two Whiskey Wednesdays and one Monday Cocktail night and it's a lot of fun. We've been here three times now. The atmosphere is superb and transports you back in time. As someone who had a 1920s theme wedding, I adore the decor, mismatch but beautiful glassware, ceiling details, etc. All of the food we've tried - which has been about 3/4 of the food menu, haha - has been really tasty! Most of the food is worth the price, however the $9 pretzel we most recently got wasn't even the size of my hand (and I'm a ring size 5 if that helps with the size comparison). Generally we've enjoyed all of the drinks we've tried as well, the only ones we wouldn't give rave reviews are the ones with smoke as both times we've tried one they put too much liquid smoke and it overpowered the drink. The servers here have been friendly, but as other reviews have stated you don't come here for their service. If you're coming in for a quick drink or quick app this isn't the place for you. Unless you know what you want to eat WHEN you put in your drink order it'll probably be about 15-20 minutes (or until you get lucky enough to flag down a server) to have someone MAYbe come back to ask if you're ready for food. Every time we've gone -no matter how large or small our group size- we've had work quite hard to flag down our server for simple requests (more water, food, check, etc) OR we've had to go up to the bar to ask because they just weren't looking our way and we got tired of attempting to wave someone down - last time it took me FIVE attempts until our server finally saw me trying to get her attention and it's a very small place. If they provided better service I'd say it's a 5 star stop. All in all, if you're ok with some of the slowest service ever (or having to go up to the bar to request service) this place is worth at least a try! read more

I had the cheese curd lasagna, it came with a small loaf of French bread, it was delicious!
