Town Pump
Trista H.

My wife and I were finally able to get to try Town Pump out. We are regulars of sister bars White Buffalo and Twin Foxes in Everett. Free parking can be found in the small parking lot or on the street. Discover is an accepted form of payment. There is an ATM on-site. Covered outdoor seating is available for those who like to sit outdoors. Indoors is small, especially compared to sister bars. There are a few tables as well as bar seating. For entertainment, there is a pool table, Sunday trivia, pull tabs and TVs. Daily specials are available. Town Pump offers a full bar. We came here for the pizza; however, if pizza isn't your thing, Town Pump offers simple salads and sandwiches as well. While deciding on which pizza we wanted, we slurped on a Manny's and Bodhi for $5.05 each. We ordered the large Jennnnae pizza for $24.50: white sauce, chicken, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. Our pizza was delicious and we were excited to try a different pizza that isn't on the sister bars menu. Staff was friendly and enthusiastic. By the time we were leaving, Town Pump was packed and there wasn't a seat available. Overall, if you like dive bars and pizza like we do, Town Pump will not disappoint.

Bacon Turkey Melt with au jus and House Salad

Ah, the good old Town Pump! There are times when a reasonably priced drink, and honest good food overrides a fancy appearance. We stopped in for a bacon Turkey melt sandwich and a drink today, and I've never been disappointed with ANYTHING that I have ever eaten here. Their pizza rocks, the sandwiches are always great, gotta be my favorite dive bar in the whole county. (Conway Pub is great too.) Nice house salad with the sandwich, excellent au jus , and a very tasty sandwich. Sitting outside on a nice summer day. Life is good. The Town Pump is far from pretentious - it is a lot like one of my favorite old t-shirts. Simple menu well executed, great drinks and great prices.

This little gem was slammed for the bike ms ride tonight. Must have been over 100 people and ONE bartender. Thankfully, he turned out to be the MOST EFFECTIVE BARTENDER EVER. I have never seen someone work that quickly........he was amazing, pouring 2 or 3 drinks at a time, collecting empties, checking in with customers, dispensing friendly banter and...get this.....ALSO COOKING PIZZA. Owners take note: Gil is fantastic. Seriously, give this man a medal. Or at least a raise.

The entrance is delightfully well-done, and our faces lit up when we walked into the bar - intricately detailed and authentic enough that a '20s dress code could be reasonably enforced. We were seated immediately, and the cadence of service was immaculate: our appetizer came out just after our drinks, and the entrees appeared as we were taking the last bites of the appetizer. But I wasn't thrilled with my selections. The Rum Punch was served at room temperature and the jalapeño popper chicken sandwich was drier than the description suggested. My partner got the Jalisco Fizz, which she says paired well with the mushroom pasta, and really enjoyed the salmon deviled eggs. At $11-14, the drinks are priced well, but the food is overpriced. The jalapeño chicken sandwich was not a $23 sandwich, and a tempting lobster/shrimp roll was listed at $35. Overall Speakeasy Saloon is worth making an evening of. Dress up and sip on whiskey drinks in the low light with loved ones.

The patio faces one of the main streets so there was lots of good people watching. I ordered a beer flight and was very satisfied with all four of my selections: Prickly Pear Kolsch - it was creamy and easy to drink, bursting with prickly pear flavor; just the right amount of tart and sweet. Lightly Buzzed Honey Lavender Blonde - my favorite of the flight; it was very hoppy but light and refreshing and well balanced by intense lavender flavor and a smooth honey finish. Get it! You won't regret it. High Five Hefe - lighter/less hazy and more hoppy than most hefes it made for a unique and complimentary beer on my flight. Pommeroys Citra Pale Ale - a perfect West Coast IPA. To eat, my pup got the Lucky Dog hamburger (which the chef pre-cut) and loved it! He chowed down in less than a minute. And I got the Mac & Cheese Burger (sub a veggie patty) with the Garlic Fries. It was a very indulgent meal to say the least. The burger was loaded with so much Mac & Cheese that I couldn't even put the top bun on it and pick it up. lol I had to knife and fork the whole thing which was totally worth it. The Mac is a classic home style recipe (think Stouffers but better). Their fries are shoestring and super crispy and salty. And they loaded those up with an amazing garlic aioli and Parmesan. I got a side of their house-made curry aioli and was obsessed with it. Every fry that didn't have sauce or parm got a dip in that deliciousness and I added it to quite a few of the burger bites too. All in all, a great brewpub that I look forward to returning to in the future!

Temperate Habits is one of my top choices in MV when I'm craving good food and a good beer. And now…read morethat they've got their brewery operation full up and running, it's a good spot for both. Not just a brewery, women-owned TH is also a taphouse featuring an assortment of tasty local and regional beers, wines, seltzers, and ciders. You'll find anything from their own house-brewed beers to local favorite breweries from around Washington State. I like going here with The Dude, because they've always got at least a couple of good IPAs on tap for him, as well as more mild choices for those of us who aren't as into over-the-top hoppiness. What sets Temperate Habits apart, though, is their excellent menu. From quirky options (like their famous mac 'n cheese burger) to more traditional offerings (like my favorite, the caesar salad with salmon), there's something here to fit most tastes, and most budgets. We love going here for lunch, grabbing a couple of pints, and splitting one of their tasty cheeseburgers. I'm also a fan of their appetizer brussel sprouts, made (of course) with Skagit Valley's finest. They do have an outdoor patio, which is a good place for people watching (but can get kind of loud as it's right on the street). Going solo? There's almost always a spot at their friendly bar!

Cask & Cleaver Steakhouse - Highly recommend the roasted carrots as a side! The mint is a delicious, unexpected touch. The steak was wonderful and perfectly cooked.

Owner was there making rounds, which was nice. She definitely cared and wants the restaurant to succeed. It just seems a bit off. Not sure if it's the servers or the environment. Food was stellar though. I will not complain about that. All of our meals were worth the $$$ Will we come back? It's a 35 min drive. So probably not. Would I recommend it to locals there yes.
