I absolutely love the vibe and the cocktails here, but the food seriously needs an overhaul. My husband and I went last night to celebrate our anniversary and the bread and butter was awesome, per usual. The deviled eggs were to die for and I wish we had ordered twice as many. I also ordered goat cheese and crackers and the figs with prosciutto, however, and I just was not digging either one. I was expecting fresh figs with cured prosciutto, and that was just not the dish offered on the menu. I'm an ignorant diner, so it was my bad, but to be honest, I wish this place offered less "foodie food" and more just palatable, easy, approachable food. I had a gin and tonic and the specialty banana cocktail, both of which were amazing. We love this place and will continue to visit frequently, I just need more menu options for "picky" eaters. Was here several weeks ago with some friends. I had to order something to eat with my drink, ordered the chickpea fries. OMG they were so good, especially with the garlic dip. YUMMO!! I only had one drink, but everyone else got at least 2 drinks. We all enjoyed it. I want to go back just for the chickpea fries. The only thing I didn't care for was how dark it was inside (we went in the evening). We walked up hoping to get dinner and drinks as other restaurants on Main Street had a wait. We weren't greeted for a few minutes at the door and noticed right away that the entire restaurant was loud. Off the bat they seem seriously understaffed. First red flag. The food menu is hard to follow and full of puns. Portion sizes are a joke for the price. I'm talking $25 for 6 BITES of overcooked Sysco steak and $6 for a couple handfuls of popcorn. My taste buds are and wallet wounded. Unfortunate. As for the drinks, the whole menu is a gimmick. They're offering 30 cocktails and failing to prioritize attention to detail. Probably the worst $22 drink of my life. Not worth the price and overly sweet. The menu is presenting as charm and whimsy, but the drinks are lacking severely. I hate to say it but the service was AWFUL. The woman bartending was a mess. She didn't ask how we were once. She was not offering to clear up space by taking away our plates/glasses. She's also just extremely rude and visibly drunk. Hopefully it was just an off day or she was actually very intoxicated. The whole staff seemed intoxicated. In the hour we were here there was profuse swearing, breaking glass, yipping/yelping and we overheard them making inappropriate borderline racist jokes. We asked to close out after noticing these things and it took forever to pay. Not what you'd like to see from what could be a decent local dive bar. But, I digress. Don't waste your time here unless you're feeling pretentious of course! (They are literally selling merch that say they are not pretentious) the jokes just write themselves! Ha. This is a fantastic little prohibition style speakeasy with amazing drinks, food and service. Don't blink you might miss it and end up at one of the other spots on main because the signage is not very prominent. Just a little sandwich board that is easily missed, but you don't want to miss this one!!! Drinks are exquisitely crafted. I had the best cold brew espresso martini - the foam was so good I was licking it is out of the bottom of the glass! My friend had a delicious old fashioned but cannot recall which one (they have many different kinds!). They also have a make your own charcuterie board with so many scrumptious items to choose from. We had this huge cheese block, wine jam and bread and butter. The bread was hot and fluffy and the butter was beyond creamy and salty. The jam was so flavorful and the cheese the cheese the cheese. I wish I could live in that cheese. I wish I could remember the name, I guess they have a rotating menu for cheese because it wasn't online. We stopped by Kelnero on a Sunday afternoon for some cocktails and a snack. We were lucky and snagged two of the outward-facing spots, which was perfect for people-watching on a sunny day. The bar has a good selection of liquors by Seattle standards. Their cocktail menu ensures that there is at least one drink for everyone (tequila, gin, whiskey, etc). My boyfriend liked his drinks, but was not mind blown. The hot wings aren't actually that spicy . Our server didn't check in us often, but when he finally did he offered us extra hot sauce. Once inside you greeted kindly and the bartenders are very welcoming and if you any questions they take the time to explain what is in the drink and what to expect before you even taste it. Kelnero is interesting, but it hasn't won me over. They have a massive cocktail menu with options in many categories, but I haven't really enjoyed what I have tried so far. They do have some dessert wines, as well, and those are good. In general, their cocktails are higher in price. I do not recommend eating there. The desserts in particular are not good. It's at its best just as a cocktail bar. The interior is ok, it's a bit moody, but not romantic or cozy. It has a casual feel. I really like their front porch area for seating and prefer that over the bar or back room. Some of the seating is a bit awkward if you're wanting to have a conversation with just your date or group when there isn't live music. I think it's more fun with friends than for a date. Overall, I recommend trying it, just get dessert somewhere else. read more

Why haven't I come here sooner? This is such a fantastic cocktail bar with an extensive menu! I love bars like these where you are overwhelmed with options so you just stay longer and order 3-4 drinks. We came here on a Friday evening for girls' night out after dinner at Fire and the Feast and this was a great time. Lots of great choices to pick from and I gravitate towards gin. We really liked Kelnero, the drinks were great. A spicy margarita will get me every time! We didn't get food, but my friend who's gone a few times recommended the deviled eggs, so we'll try that next time. The place itself seems small from the outside, but there are a surprising amount of seats. I love that the bathroom has clean towels to use instead of wasting paper towels. I rarely leave reviews, but my recent visit to Kelnero in Edmonds left me genuinely unsettled. The atmosphere started out promising, but quickly turned sour due to staff behavior and management conduct. Several employees appeared intoxicated or distracted during service, and our group waited far too long for basic attention. What made the night especially uncomfortable was the managers/owners (male) behavior toward younger women at the bar. It came across as inappropriate and unprofessional, not what you'd expect from a business in downtown Edmonds in 2025. The tone, body language, and comments made several of us uneasy enough to leave early. On top of that, drinks were overpriced for the quality and inconsistency. Between inattentive service, high prices, and a concerning lack of professionalism, this was not a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for a respectful, well-run establishment. Food is okay. Bartenders are knowledge and will lead you in the direction of what you might like. Some are better at it than others. The major complaint I had, was how loud it was. Maybe if I had sat outside it would have been better, but I had a lot of questions and thought it easier to sit at the bar. It wasn't even the guest that were loud, but the bartenders themselves. So, if you like average food, hit or miss drinks, and a loud environment then this is the place for you! I'd like to try them again to see if they had an off night. The brands and variety of spirits and the amount of ingredients for each cocktail make them really stand out, especially in the north Seattle/Shoreline/Edmonds area. Service was great! The servers are very knowledgeable and will make excellent recommendations based upon your likes and dislikes. The bartenders really care about their product and are also happy to share their recommendations with you. The space itself is fairly small in the inside, but it has a really awesome front patio. A hallway which was not very attractive. But it was clean at least. The food options were super light. Baked wings and charcuterie? Best. In. Edmonds! I'm so excited to have found this little spot at the top of downtown Edmonds! They have a cute little outside patio deck where my friend was able to bring her dog - they even have a water bowl out for pups so they don't get dehydrated in the sun! Right now they have everything in to-go containers but they will be transitioning soon back to 50% regular capacity. I ordered the corpse reviver (see cute mini bottle in photos!) the cauliflower and brussels sprouts salad, and the Basque seasoned popcorn. The food and beverage were everything you could hope for and more but I was even more impressed with how they had their storefront setup. Everything and everyone followed guidelines for sanitation and they even sanitized our credit cards after payment. They have a huge selection of local products from planters to every distiller under the sun. I was so impressed with the takeaway options here. Came in to have a couple of drinks. We were sat down and waited 15 minutes before someone even addressed us and asked us if we wanted to order. The server looked like she didn't want to be there. We told her what we wanted to order and she said "okay" and when I asked to have the "cold brew martini" made with tequila she said "wait what? I don't know what you're talking about"... indicating that she didn't actually hear our order. When we finally got our drinks, the drinks were spilled on the table and not cleaned up (keep in mind we still don't have any napkins). I had to ask someone walking by to grab something so we could wipe our drinks and table. No one checked to see if we wanted to grab another drink (we didn't, we couldn't get out of there fast enough), so we finally found someone to ask for our check to which she said "okay have a nice night" and started to walk away until we stopped her to tell her we hadn't paid yet.
