I hate to give bad reviews based on one experience but I can't imagine going back a second time because everything was so bad. Well except for the blue cheese dressing served with the hot wings. So...hubby & I arrive about 3pm on Sunday hoping to enjoy a nice Sports Bar experience including their indoor bowling, shuffleboard & pool. Scratch that because a private kids birthday party has that cool area taken. So we wait at the hostess stand to be seated in the bar. And we wait & wait & wait. No acknowledgement or welcome. This should have been our cue to leave but we had already circled the block and found parking so figured we should go ahead & wait. When finally acknowledged we were offered a bad table near the main flow of traffic & near the front door that would give us a blast of cold air everytime the door opened. Asked for a different table but was informed it wasn't "in the bar". Their floor plan is messed up. It 100% looks in the bar. Order HH drinks of a Texas Tea & Paloma. Small glasses and the Paloma was just a margarita not a Paloma at all. Ok. Onto the food. We decided to order 3 HH items to split. Wings, calamari & The Victory Cheeseburger. Wings were adequate. 9 of them. But not enough wing sauce on them. Small portion of calamari questionably served in a metal cup that if you don't take them out could make gummy & not crispy. And finally the $15 cheeseburger served without fries that is the hugest rip off I think I've ever been served. Positives: friendly server & good blue cheese dressing for the wings.

Stopped in for a bite and a bev. Love the atmosphere and offerings. Big TV in the dining area keeps it casual but still sophistocated, not distracting at all. I liked the chopped salad and was perfect to share. The portion seems generous. The calamari is a tad overcooked. I liked the mama-lil peppers but didn't like the dipping sauce which seemed fake and processed. I'm a sucker for polenta bites and will go for them every time. These were good, next time I'll hold the parm. Service was slower than I thought it should be for a relatively empty space, but it worked for us. I liked the casual, sophisticated vibe and will definitely return to try something different.

Came here for happy hour on a Friday night, sat at the bar and was greeted right away. Ordered some spicy calamari and artichoke dip. The spicy calamari had a really good texture to it and was a combo of rings and tentacles which is my personal favorite. The artichoke dip was not what I was expecting and made with almost a pimento cheese base? It didn't say much on the menu other than it was served with tortilla chips which were a good texture. Not a fan of the artichoke dip North end daisy - good! It's a pretty restaurant. Some tv's for sports. There's a bowling lane or two upstairs but you don't hear it downstairs in the restaurant. It's an upscale bar restaurant area which is nice in Edmonds! There's a 20% gratuity fee included in the bill

A friend and I went here after work for happy hour and they had a great selection of alcoholic beverages as well as a few nonalcoholic options for anyone that is sober. We also took advantage of their happy hour appetizers, the spicy calamari was our favorite by far! Our bartender was super sweet, very engaging and kept making sure we were okay and didn't need anything else throughout our visit. We sat at the bar, it was very clean and the hooks underneath, made it super easy for us to hang our personal items without them being in the way!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for happy hour with a few friends. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a ton of room for walk-ins considering how busy Edmonds can get especially during summertime. Indoor seating was in abundance, however outdoor patio was fully booked. This tavern is spacious! There's a center bar area and a lot of seating areas perfect for large parties. There's are also bowl and shuffleboard to add to the list of activities at this establishment. They have a decent happy hour menu we decided to order a few plates to share. We ordered the fried polenta bites, spicy calamari, and salt & pepper fries. We also ordered the mac n' cheese from the regular menu. For drinks, I ordered the Supreme and a Sazerac. Our drink orders came out first. The supreme cocktail is a tasty mix of rye, vermouth rouge, maraschino, absinthe, and bitters. The absinthe was not overpowering and gave the drink a nice lift. The sazerac was perfectly made and had the right amount of absinthe. The food all came at once, which was perfect. The polenta bites were crispy and came with a delicious anchovy aioli. The spicy calamari was delightful and not too spicy with mama's lil hot peppers. The salt & pepper fries were just the standard fries with added pepper. Our favorite was the mac n' cheese from the regular menu. The campanelle with white cheddar, smoked gouda, and herbed breadcrumbs was a good flavor and texture combination. Service was ok. Our server was almost non-existent near the end of our meal. Our bill had charges from another table and which added wait time for us to get our server's attention to fix the incorrect billing. There is a 20% gratuity charge included with the bill. Overall, this is a chill spot with family friendly vibes.

It wasn't the most memorable experience, which leads to a more vague review than my typical ones. I came a few months ago with my friends since we wanted to go try bar hopping in downtown Edmonds (not very successful unfortunately). The Victor Tavern ended up being our second stop since our first stop from across the street was packed, but The Victor Tavern wasn't busy so we ended up coming in. Hostess was friendly, and had us seated away from the main area in a more private den closer towards the entrance. Didn't mind at all since it gave for a more intimate experience, but I thought it would've been more fun to be out in the open area. Food was pretty good for all of us, I remember enjoying my burger. But we were quite iffy with the drinks we ordered. I wasn't a fan of mine and let my other friend drink the rest. Not sure if I would come back again, but I do like the environment.

    French Dip Sliders

3.5 stars The food at Victor Tavern, a buzzing, family-friendly sports bar, was nothing spectacular, but the service was truly outstanding. From their happy hour menu, we started with the Caesar Salad, a simple mixture of chopped romaine, croutons, and Parmesan, served with a creamy anchovy dressing. The French Dip Sliders came with two soft buns filled with thinly-shaved prime rib and griddled onions, served with au jus and horseradish mayo; and the Veg Head was a burger made of a vegetarian jackfruit patty (which had a surprisingly meaty texture), lettuce, onions, hot peppers, aged cheddar, and a chunky, creamy, tangy, Thousand Island-like secret sauce, all on a brioche bun. The food was decent though nothing too special, but most memorably, our server was super friendly, thorough, and accommodating of our dining with kids!

    Polenta fries
    Wen C.

I think overall the dinner experience was ok. Polenta Fries were excellent. The cubes of polenta were crispy, yet tender on the inside. The top is blanketed with a mound of shredded cheese, which had trouble adhering to the fries. It was great to share with others, as they are pretty filling. I would definitely get this again Steak Frites was average. The fries are standard restaurant fries that are covered in a healthy-sized mound of diced garlic and Parmesan cheese. The steak is already sliced for you, although they do include a pat of butter (Montreal honey butter) which is soft, yet not melted on top of the steak. I think they do this so that if you didn't want it on your steak, you could easily remove it, but by the time the dish got to me, the butter had trouble liquefying so it was awkward to eat congealed butter on the steak despite me spreading it out immediately as soon as I got it. I did think that the prices were a bit expensive. Also keep in mind that there is a 20% service charge added to your bill at the end, and gratuities are not expected.

    Truffle Smash (with Veggie Burger)
    Michael D.

Had the Truffle Smash Burger with a substituted veggie patty and it was oh so good! It hit the trifecta of savory, salty, and sweet with the combination of sautéed mushroom ragot, truffle aioli, and Gruyère cheese. Loads of flavor from those delicious toppings. The veggie patty is a pretty good initiation meat similar to Impossible but a little more dense. The "stadium" fries were your average, good vehicles for sauce but not ones I'd be yearning to eat plain. I got extra truffle aioli on the side to dip them in and was very satisfied then.

    Brunch menu

Disclaimer- we only stopped by for drink Espresso martini was delicious and scratch made. Brunch menu looked really good. A little pricey but not far from the norm in the area. Ambiance is elevated sport bar. Nice mix of bar seating snd outdoor seating. Will definitely return to try the food. Server was very friendly. 20% gratuity automatic

Had the Ancient Grain & Greens salad. It tastes good! Had some cool live jazz music playing on a Friday night. Also has a $9 after 9pm menu which I'll be coming back for!

There is limited indoor seating, which I opted to sit by the entrance. This allowed me to experience this indie cafe's vibe. It had a bit of European flair which was pleasant. Definitely the two female baristas (owners?) handled the constant line with efficient cadence. Dealing with orders at the window, orders at the counter, serving up pastries, and dealing with dishes. Pretty impressive actually. I had driven by this spot many times this past year, usually hitting up other indie cafes in Edmonds. Featured beans were from Camber, roasted up in Bellingham. Spot on mocha. Glad I detoured and stayed awhile after the pop up. Even caught up briefly with another Yelp Elite/All Star/IGer. Adding this to my Edmonds rotation. Recommended!

After 4PM, they have a bar next door called Bar Americano that serves non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. I was told by a bartender (who is not the owner) that I should not return, despite never being disruptive, intoxicated, or in violation of any rules here. The reason given was unrelated to my conduct at this bar and stemmed from a serious personal safety concern involving a drink that I had raised elsewhere about another patron who also frequents this establishment. The interaction left me feeling that it was more important for the other patron to feel comfortable here than it was for me to feel comfortable or welcome. As a woman raising a safety concern, being dismissed and told not to come back rather than having the situation handled neutrally or referred to management was especially upsetting. Rather than addressing the concern professionally, I was told not to return so that someone else would not have to worry about encountering me. Being treated this way -- despite having done nothing wrong at this bar -- felt unfair and unprofessional. We did not actually come to eat because we had dinner reservations a few hours later, but we did want something small to nosh on. The menu options actually sounded pretty tasty. We only ordered the fried pickles as we didn't want anything heavy. The pickles were tasty, but they needed maybe 1 more minute in the fryer. The inside of the batter was just a tiny bit undercooked. But we still gobbled them up. Aside from that, I was slightly disappointed that they didn't actually have a lot of "tiki" styled drinks on their signature drink menu. I was expecting it to be a whole theme. It really wasn't. I think that's a missed opportunity for sure. I would really lean into that theme, since it's your name and decor. The hubby ordered the Tom Tai. It started out kinda tasty on top, but whatever alcohol was at the bottom of the glass (which was the only time I actually tried a sip) was just god awful. Have no clue what it was but it was like turpentine. Not a balance cocktail, but maybe just putting it in a shaker to mix it might have helped. Whatever alcohol was on the bottom of the drink was not good at all. Staff was friendly. Lots of tv's to watch sports. We "might" come back to give it another try based on what the menu sounded like next time we are in the area.
