It's been awhile since I've been to an Earls. Had a late dinner whilst wifey and I were in the area. We were greeted by the friendly hostess and seated. The restaurant was dimly lit with Background music playing in the speakers. Very modern classy vibe. Our server asked if we had any specific beverages other than the water we were given that we wanted. We decided to stick with just water as it was late(Monday night). We perused through the menu and both decided to have the taste of tri-cities menu they had going atm. Wifey ordered for appy the crispy chili tofu and I ordered a individual charred corn/avocado dip with tortilla chips. For mains wifey ordered blackened Cajun chicken and I had a deluxe burger. Dessert wifey ordered mini caramelized vanilla cheesecake and i got the mini sticky toffee chocolate pudding. The crispy chili tofu was quite nice, crispy and flavorful. It came with a dipping sauce which i liked but wifey found the tofu was already seasoned enough she opted not to use it. My individual dip was delicious and creamy, well seasoned. Cajun chicken was moist,I found it slightly salter than I like but maybe it's my age? I've been finding lots of things salter than I remember or maybe all you younger ppl like saltiness lol. Wifey also found it a bit salty. My burger was very messy but tasty, crispy bacon within and fresh lettuce. Decent burger. Fries again i found a bit over salted. For dessert the vanilla cheesecake didn't stand out. Pretty standard, tasted fine as vanilla cheesecake goes. The sticky toffee pudding was good. Soft and moist, served a la mode. Both desserts were served with a thin brittle which was very good. My only complaint was the spoon at the establishment seems kinda overly thick or something as it's very hard to scoop up the dessert into it. Made eating the dessert hard and finicky. Over all nice late dinner, decent food and great servers. Very solid in terms of food and service/atmosphere. read more

My wife and I decided to have a date night and returned to Earls in Port Coquitlam--and what a wonderful evening it was! From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a big smile and made to feel welcome. We were lucky enough to get a comfortable booth in the lounge, where we could relax, enjoy some great food, watch a little baseball, and most importantly, spend some quality time together. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and we never once felt rushed. It was exactly the kind of relaxed, enjoyable evening we were hoping for. A big thank you to the entire Earls team for making our date night such a great experience. We'll definitely be back soon! read more

Brunch is excellent! Alas, no so into the othertimes of the day anymore.... service and prices were lacking recently.

My first time going to this location last weekend. It's a cute location and big as well. As always good food and great service.

The place is nice, specially for lunch as it is bright and the food is good. THE BEST THING is the Service!! If you can have lunch and sit on a table, by the bar, you are going to meet the long Lost, much Younger, much more Beautiful, Twin Sister of Caitríona Balfe (from Outlander) !!! I am sorry I din't get her name, but she is as efficient as she is GORGEOUS!!! It is worth the time and the experience. I am from Brazil, latin blood, and I am sorry if this offends her, but I had to post this and not miss the opportunity. read more

3rd visit in a row where the food came cold and/or overcooked. Will not be coming back to this location, ever. Fries were cold. My "medium rare" steak arrived "well done" - Gross, chewy and so dry..check the photo. Server dissappear for very lengthy amounts of time. We were here for Happy Hour...only got 3 drinks in 3 hours. We're drinkers, if she had come around regularly, we would have had 6+ drinks each. Waste of my time read more

Earls rarely disappoints. We had a Santa Fe Chicken Salad and steak tacos. We both loved our meal and the night was made extraordinary with impeccable service from Dani. We dined with Earl's on Tuesday, the 26th of December. This was our first visit, and I was amazed by the service. The ambiance was fantastic; I loved the coziness and the retro vibe. We met Ayush at the front desk, and he guided us to our table and was so friendly and kind. We were then greeted by Taya, who was so kind and courteous. I loved the way she treated us; she made sure she checked in on us, and the overall experience was simply unique. I would recommend this place. By the way food was excellent read more

Atmosphere: I went to Earls on my birthday. The inside was on trend for this type of dinning. Like a darker club lounge kind of place. The food was expensive but tasted pretty good. The vegetarian options were limited. I got a slice of birthday cake. Which was very nice. Costs: Roughly $20+ a plate. It's on the higher end, without being too high-end. If that makes sense. Service: Our server was nice. However, it was sort of painfully obvious the restaurant hires servers based on their looks. The majority of servers were young, skinny and tall woman. Several of them looked like the same person.Tables were low, so the very tall servers had to kneel down, or lean over us to take our order. Knowing that most woman that eat here, would not be able to work here based souly on image is discouraging. People do notice this kind of thing. It is like a floating cloud of discrimination that hovers over the dinning experience. read more

Came in for dessert and drinks on 8/12. Our waitress was really great. The coconut cream pie was outstanding. It was seasonal but ask for it if coconut is your thing. It had toasted nuts on top, and the pie was just right. I typically can't stand pie crust, but this was the right combo of butter and not too much sugar. Drinks were kept refreshed without asking. They had a live DJ going who did a great job that night. The big fireplace and casual atmosphere is relaxing. I like Earls and every location I've been to has always been a pleasant experience. We wanted to sit outside but were told it was closed to any additional new people since we had arrived near closing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Parking: 4 read more

Earls is a "safe"'place to go whether for a date night or catching up with gal pals. For me, it was the latter. I hadn't been to Earls for years but my friend was on a strict diet and said they could accommodate her. On a Thursday night at 7pm, there was a 10min wait for 2. We were seated in some cushy armchairs, the seats were great. Good for dinner but felt cozy for hanging out. We ended up staying till 10pm. My friend had a steak and asked for a sub of mushrooms instead of fries. I ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl, I didn't fancy rice so asked for a lettuce substitute. They accommodated both of us without a surcharge. I was impressed that they use the lesser seen red tuna instead of the pale beige albacore we mostly see in Vancouver. The avocado and mango in the bowl were fresh, The dressing really tied everything together. Like I said, Earls is a nice and safe bet. I am always happy to go there but no surprises. Ps. The happy hour menu looks great too! I'll likely try that the next time I go. read more

3.5/5 The food gets 4/5. The service gets 3/5. Got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich ($16.50) with ceasar salad (+$2). At first sight, the top bun was huge and it made it seem as if I got a really small piece of chicken. The chicken itself tasted fine; I didn't find it "hot" at all - more on the mild side. I really liked the lemon slaw, but I couldn't really taste the honey mustard mayo. I really liked the amount of slaw that was in there - it had a lot of pepper and I looooved it! I would have liked more pickles to my taste. I found that with each bite, the burger kept leaking; couldn't tell if that was the water from the slaw or the lemon, so it was a tad bit messy. Overall, I usually don't go to chain restaurants (friends birthday), but this one happens to be in my top 3, so I don't mind if I gotta come back, but I wouldn't care to pick this place if I got the choice. read more

Although I don't believe Earls is fully at fault, I do blame skip the dishes as well. I got my order and it wasn't packaged properly. I got a cl chowder and field green salad. My soup was dumped out into the bag, so that could have been the handling or the lid wasn't on fully. I contacted skip and they o my refunded the delivery fee. The salad looked like it was someone's left overs. There was only 1/4 of dressing and the salad didn't consist of cucumbers like it normally does and the 2 that was in there were wilted and the lettuce was old with brown on some. I think with these times due to covid the soup should be bundled in its own bag incase a driver decided to snack on some and the bag should be folded and stapled shut. Sadly I couldn't eat it because I was not certain who's to blame here. All in all Earls is usually fantastic but today left me dissatisfied. read more

I chose this place to go with a friend to catch up after not seeing each other for a while. We were seating promptly & then the servers assistant came, my friend didn't quite hear her well & thought she was our actual server; so he ordered a drink, she went to our server and told her we were ready (I assume she also mentioned the drink my friend ordered) & she took out drink orders again, now i've been a host before and lots of times people just ask for / order from you & I would always go tell the server what they wanted- now if the server chooses to go confirm/ask the table then that's on them. anyway point being I wished the assistant had told our server our drink instead of saying our order twice, small issue. our appetizer was great, we then ordered our mains- I really wanted steak so I decided to get a 9oz medium rare sirloin , my friend got the steak and sushi again medium rare, when we received the food it looked great, the steak was a bit crispy but that wasn't the issue, I cut open my steak & it was completely cooked, I then cut straight down the middle and my steak was again completely cooked, I mentioned it to the server to tell the cooks cause i've been a cook and it's always important to know, then the manager came by and I told her I didn't need another one ill have the potatoes and broccoli, she then offered a dessert and I said sure, whatever you choose & I appreciate it thank you. Received our dessert and my raspberry had mold on it anyway i'm glad they took it off the bill, and spared 2 scoops of ice cream and a moldy berry. read more

I came in with a group of co workers now that covid restrictions have let up and I must say, we were very well taken care of. Our server Lauren was so personable and attentive. I can imagine it can be stressful once the drinks start flowing and we start getting louder... but she didn't seem to mind! Thanks Lauren! We'll be back. :) read more

We recently were offered a paid for "Skip the dishes" as a birthday gift, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT, the cost of the food was ridiculous, the portions were not relative to the price point. When skip the dishes arrived, they did not even ring the doorbell. I ate at this restaurant about 18mos to 24 mos ago, and the food quality HAS NOT IMPROVED!!! The ribs and chicken dish was small, the chicken was dried out! the cole slaw was a joke!! I am astonished that someone in the org let's this go out to customers, the cole slaw was simply shredded cabbage with nothing else! Obviously no quality control. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS CHAIN OF RESTAURANTS AGAIN! read more

We love brunch and we love Earls' brunch happy hour! On weekends between open-noon they offer many brunch options at only $8. I personally love the avocado super brunch and chorizo/mushroom hash. Hubby usually gets the country breakfast that has a little bit of everything. Reservations can be made online at Open Table, but honestly I've never had to wait because it's such a spacious restaurant. NEGATIVE 10 stars -10 *...very bad experience on Father's Day dinner. There is no management here because the manager is not trained to handle a large restaurant like this. I do not know how she get the job. we are a group of 13 decided to celebrate Father's Day on Saturday night. We waited half an hour to be seated. We seated at 7:45 and ordered our food by 8:15. 3 of us ordered drinks, the rest had water. One of us ordered wings for himself. I didn't know how long it would take the waitress to enter our order in the computer. But I saw many waitresses took long time to key in and a bunch of them hover around the computer somehow. At 8:45, the waitress warned us the food will come slow and did not know how long it would take. They did not offer us anything while waiting. Our kids are hungry and wanted to go to pizza places across the Earls. So I asked the waitress at least give us some bread and they did. we assumed the food would come at 9:15, still no food. We asked the waitress to follow up , still she has no clue how long it would take. It is like there is a strike in the kitchen. She and the manager did not apologize but only saying the kitchen is backed up and too busy. They said there was nothing they could do because they are the middle man only. At 9:25, they promised food would come in 13 minutes. We told them if the food would not come after 13 minutes, we would have to leave to eat somewhere else because they are starving us. Still, they were just testing our patience and energy level. Kids are hungry and sleepy waiting for 2 hours. At 9:45, we got up and talked to the manager again and asked why they are torturing us and the children here. The manager did not feel bad at all just blaming the kitchen. And asked us to wait longer. The manger is so naive to ask for contact information to follow up with us next week. We needed to be take care of now because we are hungry, not next week. There is something definitely wrong in management here from kitchen to front. I told her, I would give feedback on Yelp. We left at 10pm hungrily. There is no restaurant open except Panagos. So we just ordered our pizza desperately, picked up at 10:18 and the whole group went to our friends home close by to eat. The place is mismanaged here. We will not go back any more. read more

We came here for mothers day lunch/brunch. Even though we made reservations we still had to wait around 15 minutes. I have mixed emotions about this place. We were given a pretty horrible spot too that was off the main entrance and it was basically two round tables put together while there were available booths. This was unacceptable. Service was good and bad. Our waitress was very nice but not super knowledgable when it came to the menu. However due to the network issues in the back kitchen our orders got delayed so the manager came and offered free bread and took the pitcher of beer off our bill which was very considerate of him. I appreciated that. When the food came out, everything seemed to be in order except our hash..the poached eggs were not poached. They were borderline hard boiled eggs as the yolk was not the least bit runny. When I brought it up with the waitress she just apologized but did not offer to correct it. Overall, I may come back again but not in the near future. Service 2.5/5 value 3/5 ambiance 1/5 taste 3/5 read more

To Earls Poco, I am writing this review with great satisfaction. The bartender Braedyn hands down makes the best Ceasar known to man. He truly made me feel safe and comfortable during my visit. The cleanliness and commitment to sanitation of the bar is unmatched to any establishment I've ever stepped foot in. I can honestly say I'd trust my newborn infant son in his arms. And that's just one of employees (family) here. From the second I entered the building I was greeted with a warm, delightful hello and smile from the beautiful and elegant server Taryn. I really can't express how her bubbly personality makes me feel. Braedyn, Taryn and the whole gang really made me feel like I was part of the family. And I can't thank them enough. In closing I would recommend Earls Poco to anyone that's an avid "good time" connoisseur. I would even recommend to my dear grandmother. Thank you Earls Poco read more

Earls happy hour is one of my favorites. You can get a 6oz glass of wine for $5 and amazing garlic fries for $3. There's also a late night happy hour after 9pm with the same deals. Disappointing experience at Earls Port Coquitlam, thought we'd try some of their main dishes, including a new test item. Found the mains over priced, but thought it's a Friday night we'd splurge. ordered steak blue, got medium rare with raw pasta. ordered the salmon, which was nicely cooked, however the rice was crunchy and broccoli charded crisp and chewy. servers were good, and the bussing worker was awesome- thank you RAF! I guess from now on Earls is best for happy hour and those types of food- definitely not dinner food. read more

Decent food and service and speed. Spacious and nice atmosphere. Nice decorations inside and some sitting outdoors but mostly only open in the summer or when it's not raining. A few different food and drinks options on the menu and somewhat reasonable price. Not top quality and not close but decent for a dinner meal and sometimes brunch. They don't have English muffins for eggs Benedict though..which is a bit odd. Not hard to find and quite a few parking spaces. Walking distance to bus stops too. read more

My wife and I had dinner this evening at the Earls in PoCo. We eat there at least once a month for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are a few reasons that we keep coming back; - great food, always prepared well - friendly wait staff who are not opposed to a little conversation and a laugh. Tonight was the ultimate best! Our waitress was Faith with the night manager Greg. We had so much fun talking with both of them. Exactly what we love to do. My steak didn't disappoint, cooked exactly how I ordered it. I am not sure if the garlic butter is new, but a little on the steak and some in the fries, perfect! My wife had the chicken and ribs, her favourite, prepared expertly as always. But, I had forgotten about the New York cheesecake, with the raspberry compote and Chantilly cream. It is outrageously good. Well I think you get the idea, it was a night to remember.
