I came here with my family last night for my birthday. We booked reservations few weeks back, so we were seated at a nice big table. We came in little after 4:30PM to try regular menu and take advantage of Happy Hour menu. We ordered some drinks including beer and Sangria and also ordered the following: Truffle Fries ($8), Prosciutto Pizza ($17), 6oz Steak Frites ($24), Yuzu Calamari ($19.75), Chicken Alfredo ($25.75), and Cajun Chicken ($31.50). Truffle Fries were same as ones from Cactus. Good flavors, but it wasn't crispy. Just very thin like McD ones. Yuzu Calamari, Prosciutto Pizza and Cajun Chicken were good. Steak Frites were little tough, but we were able to eat it. Fries were salty. Calamari was amazing, but the portion was small. Chicken Alfredo pasta was alright. In fact, that was only pasta we found on the menu so it lacked variety. We didn't find it too special considering the price we paid. Drinks were good. My dad and sister enjoyed the beer and Hazy Pale Ale. Sangria was pretty good! Lastly, our server Gaylen did an excellent job bringing good customer service. He made sure we enjoy all of the food. I was blown away by free Sticky Toffee Pudding for my birthday. Most places give no dessert or just 1 piece of dessert for a family. Everyone felt so special having their own dessert for my birthday dinner. My dessert had a candle on it was fantastic. Atmosphere and the interior was clean and cozy. Everything else was great ; pasta could've been better. As a result, I'd say 4 stars on the experience overall.

Absolutely delicious! Everything we tried was fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable--perfect for dining out with friends, family, or coworkers. The atmosphere here is so inviting, and the service is warm and welcoming. They even provided a free birthday cake for my husband, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I absolutely love Earls and can't wait to come back! (Couldn't get the photo of the cake as we took it to go as we were full from dinner).

Such a convenient spot for a weekend brunch and perfect for running errands after! Came here for the brunch happy hour (open-noon) and got two classic breakfasts ($13) and a classic eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce on the side ($15). The dishes came out very quickly, and we loved the side salad in all of the brunch meals! The classic breakfast was such a good deal and the coffee here was also so delicious!

Happy hour at earls for Large group of people is always a good idea. They changed the menu for happy hour to simpler dishes but I'm glad they kept the masala dish that is simply delicious! If I could I would also get a pizza. The service is a bit slow during busy time but that's understandable.

Food isn't bad and consistent with the rest of chain. The salad portions are huge and filling. The vegan tofu salad is surprisingly tasty. Service is prompt and the outdoor patio is perfect for sunny afternoons.

Wow i must have been living under a rock. I spontaneously decided to have brunch at Earls on Silver Drive right after my workout with my gf, since it was conveniently across the street from one another. But to my surprise earls actually has a BRUNCH HAPPY HOUR that ends at 12pm. That's mindblowing. My friend and i ordered the same exact thing and it was the first time we tried this too but oh boy was it ever delicious. Normally my dish would cost $19.75 before taxes but during brunch happy hour it's only $14 ish dollars before tax! Like wow! And can we just take a minute to appreciate how different and unique those potatoes looked? It's so cute! Best part it was just as good as it looked. I'm totally going to remake something similar at home. Our server and hostess was so friendly too, they remembered to ask us how we wanted our eggs! Greatly appreciated! I highly highly recommend happy hour brunch here. You can make reservations online or on opentable app if you want to be more organized. There's free parking in the parking lot. You can go shopping after too like us!! The washrooms were very clean and the restaurant was well lit and i really have no complaints to mention. What an awesome morning spent on a long weekend holiday.

My girlfriend and I were hoping to try the happy hour items, so we proceeded at around later in the afternoon (~4:00PM). Luckily, we didn't have to find parking, which looked like a scarcity considering it was getting close to dinnertime. The waiter was quick to seat us, with a smile on her face, and our attention drifted from the chic atmosphere and bustling club music, into a selection of appetizers and mains. The first off of what we ordered was the yam fries with ranch, which looked a little dark (don't know if it was refried or older). The next dish was what caught my eye; the sushi taco. It looked petite, with the bite-sized chunk of spicy, marinated tuna and mixed greens on the top, packed into a thin sheet of rice paper. Despite it falling short in portion, the flavor was unbelievable. This is strong contender for one of the most delicious dishes I've ever had at Earl's. The other appetizer we opted for was the Angry Chicken Lettuce Wrap, with the lettuce giving a nice, refreshing crunch alongside the orange chicken smothered in a bright, punchy sauce. The sauce brought great synergy with the richness of the fried chicken bite. As for the main dish, we got the South Indian Curry with the sides. One of which was the naan bread; fairly crispy with a softer inside. I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh cream + pickle spread over the cured vegetable side dish due to its odd, sour earthy flavors. As for the curry, I wished there was more salt added, as it seemed to be lacking. It should be what carries the rice, but since the flavor wasn't all there, the entire dish fell through because of that. The entire experience was somewhat on par. The highlight was definitely the atmosphere and service, but in my humble opinion, the food needed some improvement.

Came here from Metrotown mall on a weeknight in summer. We were half an hour late but they took us in without any hitch. That was very nice of Earl. Ambiance is nice and modern. Restaurant is spacious and has a variety of table sets up for small to larger parties. Menu has a variety of bowls representing different cuisines. Prices are decent too. Food is comforting and good. Haven't been to Earls for many years and surprised to find they've changed some menu items and I'm glad they did.

Can't miss with the late night happy hour here! My favorite HH items are the sushi taco and angry lettuce wraps. So good and such a steal! We also got the truffle steak tortellini which was honestly just ok. I would skip this next time. Luckily we came here on Wednesday night where wine bottles are 50% off, so we got a bottle for basically the price of a glass! Service was a little slow at the end cuz our waiter couldn't be found when trying to get the bill. We had to ask another server and he couldn't find him so eventually that other server got our bill for us. I think the service is just spread too thin cuz we did notice our server helping not only us inside but many of the tables outside too.

Good food, good ambience. Steak frites a bit too salty (both steak and fries). Yuzu Calamari excellent! One of the best calamari I've ever had. Not cheap and food came a bit slow. Probably wouldn't frequent but occasionally no prob.

If you are looking for a some good times with good food prices or a good meal, I suggest coming to Earls during Happy Hour. The place is quite busy during Happy Hour on a weekend. I came to catch up with a friend that I have not seen a long time. We both ordered a cocktail and some truffle fries to share. I love their truffle fries. I have to say during happy hours the truffle fries are not a great deal. I just wanted something to snack on and that is the reason why I got them. They do have a burger special in the Happy Hour menu and I recommend getting that. The restaurant has a nice decor. There are plenty of free parking here. Service was good. The server checked up on us a couple times to see if we needed anything. The restaurant itself is well maintained and it is in a popular area. Overall, I say the Earl at Station Square is a solid 4 stars. I would recommend coming here.

So it's 215pm and you haven't eaten breakfast or lunch...Where to go? ... kinda late for dim sum...could be nice hour for Pho but I had that yesterday... How about heading to Earl's for happy hour to create your own dine out menu! (Dine-out menu is referenced of course to our famous Vancouver Dine-Out Festival that has occurred every January during the last two decades ^^) Appetizers 1) Prawn cocktails 2) Spicy tuna sushi taco Main course 1) Earls chicken biryani - Comes with Basmati rice and lacha bread 2) Steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini plus add-on's - added jumbo crab cake + truffle butter Pairing meal with drinks instead of dessert 1) Winter Red Sangria 2) House red or white I enjoy the ambiance and atmosphere at Earl's - find it quite relaxing for dining. Chilled ambiance with great service plus diverse menu selection keeps me returning. Our server for this meal was Michelle and she was great, very attentive and friendly. Food-wise, I prefer Earl's seafood dishes like spicy tuna sushi tacos or prawn cocktails and this meal's best tasting food award goes to ... the jumbo crab cakes!!! Earl's chicken biryani was a bit salty or too heavy tasting for my liking but it was well presented, just like its picture shown on menu. Steak dish didn't look as pretty and presented with the simple look of a plate loaded with ample proteins and carbs but ordering steak at Earl's is definitely a solid choice for good protein. The crab cake was delicious and pairing it with 6 oz steak, mashed potatoes and veggies could be a fulfilling dinner all on its own. You guessed it, portions were decent and we were too full to order dessert. Drink menu at Earl's offers much to choose from and their cocktails are usually on par. Refreshing and fruity sangria adds to the element "happy" during any happy hour :) For me feeling full but not sleepy is a good sign where I can trust the meal didn't have too much or any MSG. Who knew going to Earl's hungry could lead to overeating... satisfying my appetite for late lunch + happy hour + early dinner, all in one meal sitting! Oh so "fulfilling" lol and will def visit again!

It's a really nice location and the ambiance is wonderful here. Very clean. The service is awesome. Wonderful staff here. The food is quite delicious. I got the truffle tortellini which is new on their menu I guess but I was surprised at the portion of it for how much you're paying. Seems pricy for the portion. Also can say that it can get pretty loud in here so do keep this in mind if you're gonna go at a time where it's busy (like a Friday/Saturday night)

Where do I start?…read more WOW! I think that's a good place to start. My mother came to visit me from the states, and my husband and I wanted to take her to dinner. We decided on Cactus Club Cafe because of the menu. We walked in -- no reservations -- and were sat down almost immediately. Our waiter was super attentive. My mom ordered the salmon, I ordered the baja fish tacos and my husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The food was amazing. He asked if we were celebrating anything, and we kinda were, but that was not the reason for eating out. My mother was seeing me after a year. My PR had gone through this past December. My husband and I celebrated our first year of marriage on the eighth! We told him those were not the reasons for eating there though, but he gave us free desserts all the same, and while the dessert was too rich for me, my husband and mother devoured them, it was still so good!

Food: 1/3 Service: 1/1…read moreAmbience: 1/1 For me, Time & Place is 3/5 - the waitress was attentive and the ambience was deifnitely what you would expect from a hotel restaurant - kinda quiet and cozy, with tv showing sports if you're dining alone and need entertainment - however let's talk about the food and drinks. For drinks we ordered Sangria, and it had the saddest amount of fruit in it I've ever seen. Other restaurants I've ordered Sangria in have a pitcher or container with lots of fruit to give it flavour. At Time & Place there were 3 super small pieces of strawberry floating around in the drink, and it didn't even taste like Sangria, just wine. For a place that is more upscale (read: more expensive) that is extremely shameful that they are skimping on fruit for their Sangrias like this. As for food - personally I found it to be super bland. Good thing the table came with salt and pepper so I could season my own food, which I will say that after seasoning it myself (a lot) it was actually quite delicious. I had the Miso & Spiced Honey Glazed Black Cod and the fish and vegetables were cooked well. Overall I enjoyed my dish BUT only after seasining it a ton myself, which in a relatively upscale restaursnt such as this I really shouldn't have to. So overall, 3/5. It wasn't terrible, but to be honest I think there are better options in the area for food that I don't need to season myself to enjoy.

Since it was happy hour, we also decided to try their truffle fries and let me tell you..... I don't even like fries, and I LOVED these fries! I don't know if its the batter or how they did it, but they were super crispy, not soggy, flavourful, and the truffle dip was delicious as well. 12/10 for the fries alone! For my 3 course menu, I chose the mussels (excellent, 5/5) beef short rib (tender, 5/5) and key lime pie (crust was a bit soggy, 4/5). Overall the portion sizes were very generous and the food was served at a reasonable pace. I would return for the fries alone! Presentation was beautiful. We reserved for a table in the dining room but we were asked if we would take a high top table in the heated patio for a shorter wait time and agreed. The heat in the patio was too warm so we asked to have it turned off, which they did. We had a gift card to use because our last visit to this location was the worst service we've ever experienced at Cactus - we had to wait 10 minutes to be greeted and have our drink order taken, none of our dishes were ever taken away, we were never checked up on until we were almost ready for the bill, our water was never refilled nor did anyone ask my boyfriend if he wanted a second beer, and it took another 10 minutes for us to find our server and another 10 minutes before she brought over the bill. Literally, our server disappeared on us but we saw her chatting up a bigger table near us at one point and spent several minutes there. We hoped this time the experience was better but to be honest, it was slightly below average at best. At least my boyfriend got asked if he wanted a second beer, we were able to get my water refilled at the end of the meal, and they finally took away our plates after we almost finished our meal, though we struggled for space on the table and it would have helped to have had the plates cleared away sooner. It did take us awhile to flag our server to get the bill - she was busy wiping down tables and refilling items at the patio station with napkins and takeout boxes to notice us. I think we have come to accept that the service will never be good at this location and my boyfriend suggested we start going to the Station Square Cactus location instead, as we always get solid service there.
