Earls is great spot for good ambience and quick bites. They are oldest in restaurant business and most of the locations have been revamped recently. The new interiors are modern with chick style couches and wall portraits. More spacious and dinning tables for comfortable eating experience. Even the menu is updated. Vegan options available and there is happy hour specials. over the bbq ribs and the roasted chicken dish. Omg so ,soft, aromatic and yummy . My friend ordered wings appetizers which had so much meet on it. Appetizer was enough for two people to share. Yam fries doesn't come with sauce or dipping but u can ask for it. Apart from alcoholic drinks, many mocktails available as well. Infact bar seating is huge. Newly renovated washrooms are clean . Staff is humble and know the job well. Earls has a new happy hour drink and food menu! We tried a few new drinks and they brought us complimentary chips and salsa with our drinks. We also check out some of the new food items. Server was nice and efficient. We sat on the patio which wasn't too noisy considering it's on 152nd St. We tried the lime crush, very good, glass of the red sangria and hubby ordered the Earls ale but the gave him the Earls lager and we both really enjoyed it. The charred corn and avocado dip was okay and the petite steak and fries was decent. There are a few new items on the menu we'd like to go back and try. We did have an issue with our bill and was overcharged for the sangria at full price instead of the happy hour price and since we had already paid on credit card they cannot refund a credit card so they gave me a gift card which was kind of disappointing. read more

Great food, good service and lively atmosphere. Really enjoyed my experience here. Started with an Earl's Old Fashion cocktail, a bit of a twist but good. For entree I tried their newest item on the menu, Truffle Parmesan Chicken. Wow. 2 tender juicy chicken breast, on top of mushroom risotto and watermelon radish arugula. Really good. My second cocktail was a white mango peach sangria. Well balanced, excellent. The restaurant in located in a small strip mall don't was plenty of parking. The crowd makes for a loud back ground so it was difficult to hear and have table talk. The staff were attentive and delicious meals but it's pricey. We averaged about $50 a person in the group without desert or appetizers. Though we did not make the happy hour, the menu and prices looked awesome. This Earls totally surprised me. The quality of food, presentation and service is above average. The truffle tortellini is very rich and creamy and nice fall warm dish. My son is a little over three years old and has a number of allergies. This is the first time we've taken him to a restaurant to "eat" (we packed him his dinner and we ate off the menu). While he did not eat off the menu, we wanted to make sure everything we ate wouldn't be an allergen to him as a safety precaution. I can't express how kind, understanding, and diligent the staff at Earls was. Our server (I regret not remembering her name) took the time to go over each item to make sure none of our son's allergens were in any of the foods we ordered. She even went to the kitchen to double check on a few questions we had. If there was an ingredient she thought might be an issue, she came back to let us know so we could make any adjustments as necessary. For example, the sliders we originally ordered would normally come on normal slider buns. We needed a gluten free bun, but they didn't have that option for the buns used for sliders. So they came up with a solution to take an equivalent amount of ingredients that would have made up the sliders and put them on a larger, gluten free bun. That type of consideration is not something you often. Then, the manager, Brandon, made a point to come over to us and discuss the protocol they'd use to ensure no cross contamination would occur. He later came back and went one step further letting us know they would be using sterilized chopping boards, cutlery, plates, etc. to even further make sure no possible cross contamination could happen. But let's not forget the food! I don't have any gluten allergies, but my wife and I each chose a different gluten free pizza. I loved them both (maybe too much- the old pants were getting snugger by the moment). The sweet potato fries were awesome as well, but next time I'm going to get the garlic fries (you know, just for comparison). And that slider on a larger, gluten free bun was tasty and juicy. Speaking of the slider, we had some concerns about some (what we thought were) sesame seeds we saw on the bun. The chef came out personally to let us know that it wasn't sesame, but flax seeds (which we had told our server was not an issue for our son). Again, the type of concern the staff has for their patrons is exceptional. All in all, it was a great experience, wonderful food, and an exceptionally kind and patient staff that helped make two worried parents feel less anxious and more at ease. My wife and I are so grateful to everyone who works there and we'll return as soon as we visit Vancouver again. read more

We came here on a Sunday and it felt like party central. The power was out all day in the area and this was one of the only establishments open at 11pm so it was incredibly busy. The clientele was between 18-25, drinking, yelling, the music from the lounge was super loud. People were roaming around the restaurant. It looked like there were a few large parties with some guests having a really good time! The hostess said it would be 45min wait for a table as bill times were backed up. We asked if we could sit and not put our order in (there were some empty tabkes) until they were ready to take more bills. They were nice enough to accomodate since there is no seating area. Service was good. Washroom had empty 40's (bottles of liquor) next to the toilets.. Food was okay. Glad we were able to eat. Not a quiet place but it sufficed for the evening! read more

We stopped by for dinner and it seems like a hit or miss with this restaurant. We had our toddler with us and the high chair we requested was dirty. We had baby wipes to clean up the high chair as there was a blob of residue. The covid precautions were questionable as it seems like things were not cleaned well between customers. We ordered the chipotle calamari, Nashville hot chicken sandwich and lobster and prawn ravioli. Food arrived fairly quickly. Calamari was fantastic with pieces of fried cauliflower and jalapeños. The ravioli was very rich and had a good amount of lobster and prawns. The worse item was the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I ate part of the bun and fries. The chicken was dry like it was overcooked. I left the chicken on the plate and told our server. She acknowledged it and took the plate away. However, we were still billed the item at full price. I have eaten hot chicken sandwiches in the States and this chicken was nothing close to what it is supposed to taste like. We still tipped our server well for the meal because she was good at doing rounds and checking up on customers. The fries were good. The bun and pickles were good. My mom and I ordered appetizers and shared them together. Their bathrooms have a wheelchair accessible stall, but their door is HEAVY and not able to be opened by someone in a wheelchair, and I couldn't close my bathroom door while I was using the toilet (the stall wasn't big enough). I also couldn't reach the sinks in my wheelchair to wash my hands. My apologies if renovations have been done since quarantine began that have changed that- I haven't been inside this Earls since Covid19 began. Since quarantine, I have ordered my favourite clam chowder twice. Both times I was disappointed... My chowder came in multiple containers, the first time without cutlery, and both times nearly ice cold in the center... The first time I sat in my truck and ate the cold chowder using a utensil my boyfriend had from the sushi place he'd ordered from. The second time I was so frustrated and hungry I just drove home and warmed it up there. Now this could be my fault, maybe I'm supposed to ask them to warm up my food? But with every other place I've ordered delivery from, pre AND present-quarantine, it comes hot and ready so I can eat it outside and on the fly. It seems like I shouldn't have to ask for my food to be hot. The Earls is really pretty inside and I have never met an unfriendly staff member there. First off, I gave this 3 stars not because of the food quality, but because of the insane prices that quite frankly, I would never pay again for something like Earls. My partner and I got 2 Impossible Burgers and the Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer... which came to over $80 after tax and tip. I'm glad I gave this place another try! We used to come here all the time when I was younger, as it's in my neighbourhood. However, I feel that the quality of food had decreased when I went back about a year ago. This is the reason this place lost a star: Definetly not good for a date night unless you make a reservation. We went on a Friday night and waited about 20 mins for a table, which was fair because we wanted a booth. Assuming the dining area would be quiet, we were both excited to finally be seated. However, the place was WAY too noisy.. kids running around, servers were quite unorganized running into each other, and we had an obnoxious group of guys behind us the entire time yelling and making a ruckus. I recommend getting a corner booth! Other than that, the food was SPECTACULAR.. and I say this without hesitating. I was pleasantly surprised by the change of menu, and I'm very glad they finally had some good chefs working at the back. I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken over jasmine rice in coconut milk. Not usually a fan of coconut milk but this dish was excellent and for the same price as cactus, it was double the size and came with rice as well! Highly recommend. My boyfriend ordered the new menu item which was the entree of Cajun chicken and WOW! It was SO JUICY and flavourful. I've never seen chicken so tender and juicy. Came with a side of warmed potato salad, best potato salad I've ever had. Also came with a side of coleslaw! Super yummy overall. The server was quite slow and my food came out luke warm (while my boyfriends was steaming hot). So she offered us a free dessert at the end which was awesome! (Coconut cake) although the lemon was a bit over powering. But, how could we complain, it was free! Overall will definitely be back. I really enjoyed the new menu and will come back to try more. Happy hour! Always a great place near home. It wasn't busy at all, we went around 3pm when happy hour just started. Bf and I shared the better bigger burger with cheese and garlic fries instead. And we had the spinach dip. The burger was a bit salty but I liked it! It wasn't dry at all. The garlic fries is always good but I think the fries should be a bit longer. It was really short. Horrible service and horrible food. First of the sever spilled water on our table and didn't bother wiping it down, through our dinner she seemed like she was not happy at all. We had to ask for refills for our water and pop, sometimes we had to ask twice. When the food finally arrived she had gotten my order wrong, I didn't want to fuss about it so I just ate it. My steak was very chewy, seems like they cooked it and sliced it up right away without letting it rest. My dynamite roll had slimy over riped Mango in it, was not expecting that at all. And for some reason they kept changing the brightness of the light every 15 minutes, it got irritating really fast. The only reason I've given 2 stars instead on 1 is because the desert was amazing, it was the only positive out of the whole meal. Coconut shrimp, Artichoke heart /Spinach/3-Cheese dip, and Swordfish Taco:s. All delicious. The place was typically bust for a Friday night, which means noisy, but not overly so. They have some sound barriers between the bar and restaurant which likely keeps the level down. I love coming to Earls during happy hour, Earls has one of the best happy hours in town for a major restaurant. Whenever it's between 3-6 or 9 to late I'll chose Earls because of the variety of drinks and food on their happy hour menu. For any other regular time I wouldn't Necessarily choose Earls because their overall menu is OK. But it's always a great spot to check when I don't want to spend full price and get some cheaper drinks! Every time their food comes out it's always delicious whatever I pick especially the spinach dip I highly recommend that, it's the best I've ever had! Great flavor, good amount of salt for flavor, the potatoes I would say are THE STAR of this dish and they compliment the Cajun blackened chicken well too. The ONLY thing I would add/improve? We are back at Earls for another birthday dinner. The staff and the kitchen have outdone themselves. Carol had a small Caesar and a full rack of ribs. I had the calamari and a Caesar then the blackened chicken with pasta. The food was very good. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was great. At first I thought the chicken a tad dry, but I found it to be the perfect texture for soaking up pasta sauce. Chyna? The server we had the last couple of times was working in the lounge today, but she dropped by to wish Carol a happy birthday and to offer to buy us a birthday dessert. Cassie was our server today, and she did an outstanding job. There whenever we needed help, and unobtrusive. We hope to see her again. Lastly, the kitchen staff did an outstanding job. Whenever I take a trip to Canada, my friends and I always make a point to stop at Earls for their brunch. They have my favorite eggs benedict I've ever tried. The toast they serve it on is not the classic english muffin- but it sure is amazing. Their hollandaise is also to DIE for. I always order an extra side of it; it is that good. I also am not the biggest fan of breakfast potatoes, but the ones here are seasoned really well and I think they're pretty tasty. This was also our first time stopping at this location, and I don't know if it's just the Surrey location or if it was our server's doing, but they also gave us these free cinnamon/sugar balls before our food came out and they were so yummy! Our server was also really sweet; we loved her! We stopped here on our drive back to Seattle and were pretty exhausted, but her friendly service definitely put us in a better mood. Well went last night August 12th Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo no taste not appealing but thought maybe they had a bad night. So went back Friday August 13,2021 ordered Filet Mignon at $39.00 ordered Medium. It came extremely well done. They took my plate brought back my sides. Manager in Red Dress came and apologized, your new steak is on the grill now I'm so sorry. Ok thank You. 20 minutes later they sent Assistant Manager over to say I wouldn't be charged I thought WOW that's big of them to not charge me fir something I didn't get. All we got was an I'm sorry. SO DO NOT go to this Earls unless you enjoy not eating. Won't be back and will make sure I tell anyone that asks for a place to eat NOT TO GO THERE. Went to this location one afternoon during Happy hour and we were very dissapointed. Ordered taco and it's horrible, dry coleslaw cabbage in a very cardboard feel tortilla. And i ask for a hot sauce and the server gave me the bottle of red hot sauce with the cap sooo dirty with dried sauce around the rim. Oh also my red sangtia have s strawberry in it that looks like been soakesing there for days!! Disgusting!! I complained to the server but they did nothing!! Will never ever go back!!! read more
