Food was 10/10 the drinks was good. Lovely cocktails and great variety of whisky. Service was perfect our server Adele was so amazing, carefully explained the menu gave us time to decide even replaced a cocktail drink for free when my wife didn't like it. Always asked for feedback which was really new to us. Ambience is spectacular and we got a free tour of the place. My wife got a free dessert for her birthday. Thank you Skye Avenue.

    Orange olive oil cake

I came here for brunch with the girls and it was an enjoyable experience. The bar is beautiful and we sat in a comfortable booth next to it. Service was friendly and quick for the most part. Free 3 hour parking on the other side of the mall near Walmart and Best Buy. Mimosa: only $6/glass and there's 7 flavours to choose from. I chose guava and loved it. Pulled beef eggs benny: I found the beef a bit dry, but the hollandaise sauce was excellent and the eggs were perfectly poached soft. Steak & eggs: my friend wanted medium-well and I wanted rare, so we settled for medium rare. I was happy it came out rare lol. This was my favourite dish, I really liked the sauce that was drizzled over the steak. It was nice of them to throw in a complimentary chocolate lava cake for our birthdays. We also ordered an orange olive oil cake, which was tasty and light.

Awesome happy hour. They just launched a new food menu. Some items stayed. The bartenders make some really cool drinks that are unique but super tasty. For $37 is a fantastic deal! Serve with mashed potatoes and a Yorkshire. Services excellent. Our favorites are Julia, MJ, and Archie. I tried the new hummus with lamb that has a real Mediterranean flavor and very unique. And did you like it? Love it. Hate it what I like

We heard about their whiskey collection and stopped in to check it out. It was pretty amazing. The food surprised us with how good it was. Very well presented and absolutely delicious. The service was top notch as well. We'll be back!

Came here for a brunch birthday. Didn't start off on a good note after being told that we were not permitted to bring a birthday cake - in order to promote the sale of their own desserts. We arrived a few minutes before opening and were coldy told that they were not open yet. Service was very present but the overall atmosphere was very serious and chilly. Not a single staff member seemed like they wanted to be there and was walking around with flat facial expressions, including the mgr. My husbands chicken and waffles was cold with soggy waffle and dry/overcooked chicken. My bacon eggs Benny was lukewarm with minimal hollandaise sauce. The salad dressing wasn't mixed so all we got was oil on our greens. My hubby requested eggs to be fully cooked, but was runny. Two friends had missing items. It's a pity bc the food all tasted great so I can see the potential of a much greater dining experience - but it was muddied with the bleak ambience and cold/missing food.

Booked for my birthday celebration of 13 people since I enjoyed the happy hour last time. It was quite back and forth regarding the reservation. They did not allow outside cake so had to opt for their speciality cakes which is $4.50 per person. Ordered tiramisu cake and it came out tasting quite frozen and not the design I submitted to them. It was very disappointing especially when you were promised that they can do any design, Appetizers, drinks and ambiance were good. Would not come back for dinner since some of the main dishes came out mediocre tasting.

Clear blue Skye? I meant to come by and try this place when it was first opened but for some strange reasons I always thought it was on the other side of King George Hwy (I know it doesn't matter but to some it does in Surrey lol) However it's on the SFU campus side of Surrey Central mall, the entrance is located outside the mall. Decided to come here for lunch. Greeted by the host and got seated. The restaurant has that modern and trendy look, mid end appearance. Here were the food I ordered (only lunch menu available); 1. Tomato basil soup. It was probably one of the better tomato soup I had; perfect balance of that creamy tomato taste and texture, not too thick like pasta sauce like some places made it but enough body to hold its taste. And not overly tomatoey. Loved it! 2. Chicken wings (hot buffalo sauce). Hot damn, looks like another one of those dry azz tree branches? NOPE! Fooled me! Light crisp skin with just a right amount of sauce and inside was juicy and hot. I eat a lot of wings and these were actually good! 3. Prosciutto and burrata pizza. Everything was good, perfect amount of each of the ingredients, the crust had a nice crisp outside, but the sauce soaked it at the middle, making it quite soggy.(it's like on a perfect date and suddenly went limped in the middle). 4. Lobster Cobb salad. Good amount of lobster meat, the amount of sauce was balanced, egg was nicely done. 5. Chef V.P. Burger. Simple looking burger but damn it was well seasoned and tasty. I wished I asked for it medium instead of well done but first time eating here and don't want no food poisoning myself over a piece of meat. Overall, I actually really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere here. I think I might've found myself a restaurant I can frequent more, but let's see how dinner is first. The food was pretty good overall, I just loved how the ingredients in each dish were so balanced. This shows the love and expertise of the chefs which as a diner, I appreciate. The service was very warm and welcoming from the host to my server. Throughout the course of the meal, my server was quite attentive and always around. As for the atmosphere, I would say it has that mid end presence but comfy casual wear should be okay. (Comfy casual doesn't mean a speedo and straw woven sandals). I would definitely go back and try their dinner and to see how it is. (Please... be as good as the lunch experience!) For now, a repeat and recommendation by me if their food and service were as I experienced.

    Mango mimosa
    Thu P.

Came here for their two for one eggs benny and ended up also getting a mango mimosa and mushroom arancini. When we went, they were trialling weekend happy hour from the start of the day until 6pm. My partner and I got the pulled pork and smoked salmon bennies. They were both really good, flavourful and very rich. I wish the bread had a little more crisp to it. The egg was also a little too well done for how I like my bennies. The accompanying salad was good, vibrant and fresh. The potato hash was average, but average is delicious because I love fried potatoes. The mushroom arancini was really good, but seemed really small for the price. It was a small flat square. I was expecting a larger sphere like the average arancini. The mimosa was good. Service was good, but a little slow and there were some hiccups with our bill. I felt anxious because we were in a rush to catch a movie showing.

There is a new premium dining experience in the heart of Surrey! Unlike some premium/upscale restaurants that may feel intimidating, we felt welcomed during our time here and enjoyed the dining experience. Our server was friendly and gave us recommendations. She came to check on us several times. The GM was knowledgeable and very approachable and eager to tell us more about the place. We spoke with the chef and he was so passionate about the food from sourcing the ingredients to preparation. The whole team was so engaging and easy to talk to. The pizza was delicious. The crust very thin though with the drizzle of olive oil, it was a bit oily. The tiramisu was TO DIE FOR. It wasn't too sweet nor heavy, and the flavour of the liqueur wasn't overpowering. It was one of the best tiramisus I've ever had. The menu is not extensive, but they have a variety of options and some of their items have a contemporary twist. Where they set themselves apart is their extensive drink menu and whiskey lounge. Prices are similar to Cactus Club in terms of the food we tried. Disclaimer: Our experience was complimentary.

Skye is a new restaurant that opened up by USF campus in Surrey. The food was alright, service was attentive and quick. Probably wouldn't come back for the food but maybe a couple of drinks. There was no one in the establishment when we went so can't comment really on the vibe but a new restaurant that's empty isn't always a good sign. Would compare it to a jack astor's or any social house really- just unremarkable. Chicken sandwich was mildly dry but the fries were super fresh and well done. My friend didn't love her buffalo wings and a side of mashed potatoes was $15 which is crazy. Not bad by any means and they have an option for everyone with different tastes- probably better for bigger groups

We stopped by for brunch over the weekend. We were seated right away and our host was great at dropping off some kids colouring activities. It was a good start until we realized our server was also the bartender. That is where service could be better as he was forced to juggle between orders and making drinks. Also, he was a better bartender than a server. We can tell he was inexperienced at taking orders. The food itself was good. The ambience is trendy and definitely a great place to sit and enjoy a drink. However, I think they need to work on their service before I stop by for another visit.

Made resos for 12:30 and were told we could only order brunch. I ordered the SHAKSHUKA (Two baked eggs, spiced tomato pepper sauce, feta, basil oil, parsley, cilantro, grilled sourdough) and a side of their breakfast potatoes! The potatoes are amazing!! Do not skimp on it! The Shakshuka was a pass. The tomato sauce was flavourless and watery. Chunky but no real flavour. The cilantro and parsley were long stems if it so not easy to eat. And to be honest, I didn't taste the cilantro. I don't know how but one of the eggs were undercooked which was icky. The feta was sheep feta which is not my fav. The grilled sourdough was great. The dish was below mid. Location is convenient and service was good, but the food was just ok.

I would've liked more fancier cocktails for the price though. One thing about the place is that the tables are quite close to each other so it can get a bit louder as the night progresses. Maybe fewer tables with shorter time slots might be a good idea. We only tried the stuffed mushroom caps and it was delicious. The program of the night was a magic show. The magician was witty and had quite a few tricks up his sleeve. I would like to check out the psychic reading in future too!

They have 1 girl working behind the pastries counter and only 2 servers in a packed restaurant. The pastry girl greeted us but the servers were so flustered that I had to flag them down to tell them I had a reservation. My first time here I loved the girly decor but this time all I saw were dirty dishes on the table. The servers looked stressed and one girl even dropped a tray full of glasses. There was a long wait to order, get our food, and get our bill. My friend ordered the pork belly eggs benny and it was as delicious as last time. I ordered the truffled mushroom frittata and it was nothing special. It was mostly overcooked eggs with mushrooms and a slice of toast that tasted plain. I told the server it was my friend's birthday and I wanted something special for her. Last time I ordered creme brûlée and they put sparklers on it and "happy birthday" with icing sugar. This time their dessert options were all brunch items: tiramisu French toast, chocolate French toast, hot cakes. None of them sounded appealing and they brought out vanilla ice cream in a small bowl and presentation was pathetic. This place has gone downhill, will not be returning.

The food had a twist of creativity in both the taste and the look, satisfying your palette and your camera. And just like in Australia, their coffee was good but super tiny. Our favorite dish was the peaches and cream hotcakes. Very refreshing. It also had some cream cheese, so it was sweet and savory. Their chicken on their waffle was very nice as well, but their waffle was a savory waffle. Which took away the pleasant combo of sweet and savory. But still very good. I would just order more friend chicken next time. well cooked, crispy pork belly too mmm. Price was decent as portions were generous. Service was friendly, and the food took a moderate food amount of time. We went at 2pm to eat brunch, so hoping that it wouldn't take longer during more peak hours. Parking is a bit of a hassle as it's underground parking. A bit of a trek to come to the restaurant, but I think that's the norm now in greater Vancouver area. Sadly the norm is also paid parking with no validation. But I won't dock off points for the restaurant for that Their menu rotates, so I would love to come back and try something new.

He said okay, but then about a minute later he came back with a to-go cup and said, "Here you go, you guys can leave now." Honestly, that caught me off guard. Especially since it wasn't busy and there were still plenty of open tables. During my first visit, Jimmy went above and beyond to make sure everything was great, and I don't think he would have handled it that way. During my last trip to Surrey, I made sure to stop by and fill up on caffeine and pastries. This location looks like an Apple Store from the outside with a modern glass exterior and minimalistic interior. From what my friends have told me, this location is much larger than their Downtown Vancouver location. Upon entering, the first thing I saw was Nemesis' vibrant colored boxes nicely lined up on a table next to the window for purchase in addition to merch (shirts, mugs, etc.) featuring their simplistic upside down blue heart logo. They switch out the coffee varieties on a regular basis, and so make sure to check their site first if you are looking for a certain bean! After perusing the merch, I made my way to the line and was captivated by the fancy high-end pastries in the glass counter. The company that makes the pastries is called Dope and they had everything from cookies to croissants to cakes and crullers. Prices were reasonable and I paid under $20 USD for four pastries. They had unique flavors including: strawberry & pistachio danish, tiramisu croissant, churro cruller, iced cap cruller, apple hojicha fritter, ube donut, and more. Like the Nemesis packaging, the Dope pastry boxes were art pieces on their own and probably the prettiest to-go boxes I've ever seen; they are a bright vibrant blue with their signature smile and tongue character logo and metallic writing. They literally look like designer shoe boxes. Nemesis features two seasonal drinks at a time, but they don't offer any flavored drinks otherwise and so if you're looking for a basic vanilla latte, this is not the place. The two seasonal drinks they were featuring in February were the Beet Root Latte and the Black Sesame Corn Latte (no coffee in this one though). Personally, neither quite appealed to me and so I just ordered a basic OAT MILK LATTE sweetened with simple syrup (you could alternatively get it sweetened with honey). The espresso was smooth and the oat milk was nice and creamy. To share with my family, I also ordered the... - APPLE HOJICHA FRITTER ($4.75 CAN) - as someone who doesn't normally like donuts, this fritter was the best fritter I've ever had and definitely on the not-to-sweet side. It was crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and full of apple pieces, apple spiced compote, and cinnamon. The hojicha dusting was subtle but added a nice slight earthiness to the pastry. I liked this pastry so much, I ended up ordering another one later on! - The ICED CAP CRULLER ($4.75 CAN) - this cruller was also fantastic and full of espresso flavor. The espresso cream filling and the condensed milk glaze were delicious and tasted like I was eating a Vietnamese coffee. 10/10 would get this again! - BROWN BUTTER BANANA CAKE ($5.75 CAN) - this cake was super moist and had a beautiful piping of cinnamon espresso buttercream on top. I'd say this one was the least unique of the pastries I ordered, but was a solid slice of banana bread and the buttercream was smooth and light. - CHOCOLATE ORANGE SUISSE ($7.50 CAN) - this pastry was the most interesting texture-wise as it has a crispy exterior that reminded me of chowmein noodles, wrapped around a croissant. The candied orange was very distinct and could be tasted in both the chocolate orange filling and the outside. While the most expensive of the pastries (probably because of the extra labor it takes for this one), I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and would order this one again too. The seating areas and bathrooms are clean. Service is excellent- we got our orders within 10 minutes after ordering and they come by to give you water and silverware as needed. TLDR, Nemesis is 1000% worth the stop and I can't wait to be back whenever I am in Surrey next. Overall, 5/5 for coffee and pastries, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere
