Looks a bit overcomplicated with all the ingredients, but it works well. - Braised Beef Cheek - Excellent. Beef cheeks is ultra tender. Delicious dish I will order again and again. Overall I loved the atmosphere of Laowai, it's very laidback and inventive. The only issue I experienced was with service. It was a bit difficult to flag someone down for questions or to put in orders. So we spend a good few awkward moments just looking around hoping to make eye contact with somebody. Also, our server Leena came to clear our dumpling plate and spilled the sauce all over my husband's jacket. She did apologize and provided us with two shots on the house. However, this was extremely disappointing as we packed lightly for our trip and were visiting from out of the country. Setting aside the lack of a view, the venue was exceptionally spacious, comfortably accommodating an energetic crowd moving to the rhythm of live Brazilian music. The atmosphere felt remarkably safe and welcoming, anchored by attentive bouncers at the entrance and a respectful crowd where everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Tucked away toward the back, the clean, modern bar served a great variety of drinks, while the spotless washrooms even had a dedicated attendant. Alongside all the excitement, one of the absolute highlights was the 360-degree photo booth by Prismatic Photo Booth. My friends and I formed a tight circle standing back-to-back, posing and laughing as the camera circled around us. If you plan on attending an event at D/6 Bar & Lounge, keep in mind that seating is quite limited. There are only a few sofa chairs, so if you want to sit down between dances, you will need to arrive early to snag a seat. Additionally, if you are a non-smoker, I do not recommend sitting on the sofas near the entrance, as that area doubles as a designated smoking zone.
