My friend brought me to this hidden bar and i did get a pleasant surprise The ambience is great for a hidden speakeasy and the decor is amazing we didnt try the food since we went there for drinks. We chose the "glory hole" shots which is the bartender's choice of the day we received a scotch with peach liqeur which i truely enjoyed. My friend tried the wildeye rotating sour which was a watermelon flavour. great selection of cocktail for sure and the bartender was very knowledegable Will return again and will try out some of their food items roo
We came here was a party of 3 on a Sunday evening. There were few open tables and she got seated right away. The outside is an accounting office and the inside is like an art gallery with small round tables. We ordered the Jell-O shots and glory hole shots (bartenders mix). The jell-o shots had whipped cream on top and were quite nice. The glory hole shots had a licorice taste which I liked as well. I was interested in a few cocktails I saw on yelp but they didn't have those on the menu and the ones on the menu didn't stand out to me so we ended up not getting any cocktails. There was only one person working at the bar and taking our orders and the food was prepared by the kitchen next door. When we were explaining to the bartender how we'd like to split the bill, he was dismissive of me and was more interested in what the guy the group had to say. I definitely saw this from the bartender - the default assumption that the guy's lead makes more sense, or that his version of things must be right. This might not be something that is as important to others but definitely something I look at when I visit restaurants.
We came on a Sunday evening around 7PM and there was no wait. The bartender was quick and friendly, and gave us recommendations for what to eat and drink. We really enjoyed sharing the shrimp cocktail. For my drink, I ordered the Bee On Your Knees cocktail, which is gin-based. It was my favorite drink of the night. Key Party is dark, stylish, and relaxing--I highly recommend it!
Cute little speakeasy in Vancouver nicely hidden behind the accounting firm look on Main Street. But once you step in, its a nice dimly lit speakeasy that serves great cocktails. We went in around 7pm on a weekday so it wasnt busy. We ordered their Met My Match, The Flamer, Kink & Me So Horny. The drinks are as innovative as their names. We enjoyed our drinks but some drinks like Kink were stricktly okay. Still angood speakeasy to try out.
We rolled with the 70s swinger theme with our party of 3. Ok, not really... The first thing my friend said was "Let's do some Jell-O shots!" followed by "Where's the sprinkles on our Jell-O shots?!?" Needless to say, she was bummed our sprinkles were missing. - Slippery when wet (CAD $14): A twist on a gin and tonic. Beautiful purple from the butterfly pea tea! 3/5 - French tickler (CAD $14): A French 75 with sparkling wine. My friend's first time trying this one. She was hooked. 4/5 - Bee on your knees (CAD $15): Meh. I love St Germain, so this was a slam dunk for me, but it didn't really deliver. I left it mostly untouched, and I rarely waste...especially alcohol. 2/5 We had no problem getting in on a Tuesday evening. There were only a few other parties around while we were there.
A fun experience! Set up a meet up and tell your friends to trust the street address. :) Uber has difficulty getting to this place, I'm not sure why - drop off and pick up were weird off so be alert if uber'ing to/from. We went here for a special celebration with 4 friends. We arrived at 6 pm on a Thursday and were able to get seating right away. Those who arrived around 7-8 pm had to wait a while. The bartender was kind and patient, we had a few questions and took a long time to decide. All of our drinks were great, including the non-alcoholic ones. The favourite was the French Tickler - the names are great. We also had the vegan cheese board which was very well received; even the non-vegans approved. Would definitely head here again for a neat night out.
What a great spot for cocktails and some decent grub. We came here on a Friday night. The unassuming accountants office was the perfect façade for the party behind its walls. The spot takes inspiration from a 70s era swinger or "key party" so all menu items to the decor pulls from that idea. After waiting in the vestibule for about 15 minutes or so, we were ushered in and sat at the bar. It's a small area but well managed. Also the crowd control of hanging out in the vestibule until seats open up kept it COVID safe. We peered over the menu and ordered their Bee on your Knees and French Tickler drinks and an order of their cheese and queso. What a delight! The drinks were super well made and served in a jiffy along with our food! The chips and queso were simple but spot on! Great accompaniment to the drinks. The bartender was super friendly and very attentive. Overall - great time and happy we were able to enjoy!
my foodie adventure con't with a with checking my keys at the key party. very chic and interesting speakeasy with an accountant office front. trust google and your gut to find the place ;) the place is small so there was a bit of a wait - short 10-15min, nothing major but be sure to dress appropriately if there's a line. the drinks were on point and boozy - just the way i like them! i had shades of grey and the french tickler. i most preferred the shades of grey over french tickler - the chambord didn't sit well with me. there're other drinks that caught my eye so i think i need to bring my books to the accountant soon ;)
What a fun experience! The drinks were phenomenal and the vibe is very relaxed and welcoming. I tried the French onion dip with chips as well as the bee drink and espresso martini with a burnt marshmallow. Both were very good and original! Only reason it is 4 stars is because they were very understaffed and it was too dark to read the menu.
Key Party is definitely a cool place to bring your friends; this speakeasy cocktail bar is hidden behind what looks like an OG accounting firm. It actually also has delicious snacks such as tater tots and chips and queso amongst other options. The wait can feel a little bit brutal depending on what time you go. We've come in the early afternoon and got in right away but this past Monday at 10:30 in the evening we ended up waiting for about 30 to 40 minutes. On the bright side you can wait in the accounting office looking area and take pics for your social media, using the Rolodex and Rotary phone. They are cocktails as you suspected are dangerously delicious. This place is also owned by the people who own the Narrow, Uncle Abe's, and the barbeque joint next-door so it definitely had similar vibes to the Narrow - very narrow and dark inside! Fun spot to bring tourists for sure.

We were a group of three so I got to try a variety of drinks. They were all amazing, but by far my favorite was the kir royale Jell-O shots. They were served in adorable little teacups and topped with whip cream. Best Jell-O shots I've ever had!!! The bar has a pretty classy speakeasy vibe, but manages to weave in a funky 70s swingers party theme with sex-themed drink names and a bowl of keys at the entrance.

Key Party is a speakeasy in Vancouver and it's located right beside the Rumpus room. This hidden bar might look like an all business accountant office on the outside but there's nothing but leisure on the inside. After a good 30 min wait outside Key Party, we finally got into the bar and were greeted by a decorative dish of keys as an homage to the key parties that were ever so popular in the 70's. Their menu had three sides to it. One with cocktails, one with beers/wines and the last with a list of snacks. The cocktails here are at a fair price ranging from $11-13 for a 2oz/3oz drink. They offer a handful of wines and beers to choose with a variety of popular selections and craft ones as well. While they do have snacks on their menu, they are on the pricey side for what they are so I would recommend having a bite before coming by or you could always eat at the Rumpus Room located next door. I ordered a melon cocktail. The melon ball came with a welcome skewer of cantaloupe and honey dew on top. I liked this touch because it added sweetness to the slightly bitter tasting cocktail. With absolut citron and melon liqueur, I thought that the drink would be on the sweet side. That's why I was surprised when it tasted strongly of alcohol. I guess I should have expected it from a 2oz drink! Overall I enjoyed the drink and would come again!
What a fun entrance - and it is not obnoxiously guarded unlike some other peers- you just find the entrance in the accounting office and walk in - capacity is limited of course so they might ask you to wait outside. Cocktails were great - we got unicorn bait and smoke show - very well balanced, comes with a bubble on top, just dont be me, know what to do with it unicorn bait was delicious too but too sweet for ky taste. Ambiance was pretty intimate with cool art on the walls- you can tell it is a popular date spot. On our second attempt in coming to Key Party, we came in the evening of a weekday. It's a cute styled speakeasy with dim lighting and fun paintings. Service was great and the drinks were easily some of the best I've had in Vancouver. You can tell their mixologist has fun coming up with these concoctions. We ordered the Met My Match and Pearl Necklace. Both were so different and so good! Highly recommend a visit to Key Party. One thing I'll note is that it gets busy. I think there are only about 6 tables inside and then bar seating, making it an intimate venue. Think - good for dates and bad for large groups. read more
Walk-in only speakeasy located in Mt. Pleasant area of Vancouver. We walked in around 7:15pm and there was a short wait for the server to wipe down the table, but it reached full capacity shortly after. This looks like a one man show as he took care of seating people, making drinks, etc. We kept the orders fairly simple - we tried the Kir Royale Jell-O shots and glory hole (bartenders choice) as this place seems to be known for their shots. The Jell-O shots were quite sweet and not really strong and the glory hole one is more licorice like which is not really my thing but at least it's strong. The value is good for getting 2 at a time as it was $9CAD for 1 or $14CAD for 2. The place is pretty cool as you walk in an accountant firm first before approaching the bar. The space inside is very cramped and you're shoulder to shoulder with people so not the most optimal for a date night but if you want a place for a short visit then this would be fine. read more

Jasmin is a cocktail genius. She made us two of the most amazing cocktails that we've had in the city. We gave her creative freedom with tequila and she nailed it! Chill, dark, cozy, sexy atmosphere. Bottoms up, we'll certainly be back! read more

The Hubs and I heard about a speakeasy with an accounting firm front. I mean, c'mon, we gotta go for this! The hubs and I got here on a snowy Friday in January. Atmosphere: Accountant on the front, party in. the back. The front: I mean, they could've added a bit more memorabilia - like ledger books, random papers, tax forms, tax act, GAAP/IFRS notes, etc.) - but the calculator (no tape?) was a nice touch. I degress. The back: A nice classy bar with a beautiful mural as the backdrop. The music is jazzy and blues. The music is not overtly loud and we can easily have a conversation. Seating: Most of the space is occupied by the curvy bartop (there are 8 seats). There are 4 tables to fill the rest of the space and each can sit 4 people. Bar service: we were immediately greeted and seated when we opened the door. Menu, water and a cup of bar snacks were supplied right after. Two bartenders were servicing and were super attentive. Our drinks arrived within 5 mins of ordering. Drinks: I ordered a seasonal drink called S&M (oh la la!) for $13 (2oz). The drink was tropical and flowery as described. A little too sweet for me, but I enjoy it. The hubs ordered the drink called bee in the knees for $13 (2 oz). This drink was creamy and sweet. Very lovely if one enjoys a sweet type of drink. We capped off with 2 shots of Dirty Mary (2 for $12). Definitely feel the spicy and savory side of this drink! Comes with 4 sour keys to balance it out. All in all nice experience. Definitely like to come back and see if they up their accounting game. read more

This little bar is fun because there is no marquee or advertisement out front. The facade is a staged office. The artwork and decor inside the bar is neat and the seating is close n cozy. The bartender and waitress were very busy, so service wasn't super quick-- but they were both very nice and were working hard the whole time we were there. read more

This place has such a fun concept - a small, moody lounge hidden behind a false storefront, full of great drinks! I loved my coconut grasshopper, the jello shots were very fancy and fun, service was lovely, and overall this feels like a great place to go for drinks. The atmosphere is great, more like an old-timey lounge bar than anything else I've been to around town, complete with old-timey paintings and some fun nods to key parties here and there in the decor. The food menu is a bit more limited, with not quite enough dip for the amount of tortilla chips we got, and there's no denying it's a pricey menu overall; it also seems to fill up very quickly, so you may have trouble getting a spot. But if you just want great drinks and basic sharing food, and you're drinking early or willing to wait, this is a really cool place to try out for the vibe and experience. read more

Key Party is a hidden gem! It's like a "secret" Vancouver bar. On the outside, it looks like a closed down accountant shop but when you go in and open the door, you enter this small, dark, lit bar! I checked out the Key Party Saturday night and was seated immediately. I had a party of 6 so I was scared that we wouldn't get seated but it was no problem! The ambience, service and food is really great. The bean dip is AMAZING with the nacho chips. All of our drinks were incredible. My favourite was the sour peach one!! Also, if you like sage, they light sage on fire when they bring your drink. Pretty fancy! average priced drinks ~$12 per drink. Our server was incredible on Saturday night. Thank you Erin for taking care of us! She was extremely attentive and checked up on us frequently topping off our waters. I would definitely go again. Check this place out if you love cocktails! read more
Adorable theme bar! Most of what I like about this place is the atmosphere, with the fake office in the front to the super dark room with the giant mural behind the bar counter. It's a small space though and there's not a lot of waiting room either. But the seats themselves are super comfy. There's not a lot to eat here (they share a kitchen with Rumpus Room which is a restaurant-restaurant) but there is a fun cocktail menu and some shared snacks. My friend and I had dinner elsewhere so we just snacked on some chili cheese dip and chips (good but overpriced at $13) with our drinks, a dirty sunrise and a coconut grasshopper. I liked the coconut grasshopper more because it tasted like dessert, a creamy mint concoction. We then also got a jello shot because how many bars actually serve jello shots??? It was really good though I couldn't taste the alcohol. read more
