Chicken and waffles from @dominionsurrey is one of their most popular dishes! Pair it with their mimosa flight and there you have your perfect Sunday brunch. Lots of space and modern decoration. The staff were amazing! Portions were fair as well! We went as a group of 8 and I couldn't picture everything, but I can vouch that everything we ordered was delicious. I would love to come back whenever I am in Surrey again. Definitely a great place to enjoy some time with your loved ones.

Went here while staying at the civic hotel before the Taylor swift concert... I tend to be a steak snobs. I had the New York strip steak with the pepper corn sauce! Perfect steak! Great flavor

This is one of my favourite place to have breakfast and dine in for easy nights. Being in Surrey it's in my close proximity but it is also very easily located. Just in the civic plaza building and right next to surrey central sky train station. Parking is plenty in the nearby parking lot but they have their own parking underground. ( little expensive to park under ground so park either on the street or close by parking lot, Ambient wise it is very pretty and comfortable . Service is good too. Menu is not very extensive but exclusive. West coast poke bowl is better then a lot of other places. Vegetarian people must try Korean cauliflower. Coconut curry n rice is rich n creamy.

    Driftwood Blackstone Porter was delicious

I found a Porter here that I really like and that's a plus. It's a reason to come back. The food is pretty good but a bit pricey. Located in the Civic Hotel in Surrey it's a convenient location to Surrey Central station. The menu is relatively limited. Good beverages, a full bar and attentive staff. Our meals were pretty good but on the pricey side. We enjoyed the cauliflower, chocolate mousse, cheesecake, and fish and chips.

First time here with a friend and our experienced was very good. This place is perfect when meeting someone for conversation and catching up and the food was great too. Our server always check our needs and friendly. The Calamari were perfectly cooked and the Chicken Burger was delicious and tasty. I love the taste of the red pepper relish in it. The Pink Sangria was great too. I recommend this place to try. A bit pricey though but worth it.

We were here for lunch on a weekday. Overall great experience and looking forward to dining here again! Ambience: 5/5 - great for business meetings to a group party of 15. Food value : 4/5 Food: 4.5/5 - better presentation & different ingredients than other similar places Service: 5/5 - server checked on us a few times Location: 4/5 - Close to skytrain. Inside next to Civic Hotel. If you have a car, park at Surrey Central Mall & walk 10 minutes. This isn't your run of the mill eatery like others. We both had the salmon sandwich. They were accommodating in that we had a butter lettuce wrap instead of the ciabatta bread. We shared the calamari appy which wasn't too greasy or having a rubbery chew to it. They have a good menu selection based on your dietary preferences. We'll definitely will be back with peeps & family!

This is the restaurant inside the Civic Hotel in Surrey. Stopped by here with friends for drinks and appetizers. Ordered Truffle Fries, Calamari and Mandu (Korean Dumplings). The Mandu was decent and so was the Calamari. The fries weren't as crispy or crunchy as would have liked. The Sangria was one of the tastiest one have ever had in this part of the world. Ambience was good and comfortable and a great setting to chat and enjoy some food. Service was decent and overall a pleasant experience. They do have a lot more items on the menu which will definitely try whenever am back....

We came in a few weeks ago for lunch The serving staff were wearing masks and the restaurant floor have arrow markings to show which direction we should be walking for better physical distancing At the entrance, they have a QR code that you can scan with your phone so see the menu online We ordered 3 tacos: Salmon, Fried Lingcod and Crispy Chicken. This dish would be quite filling as a main dish as well. The pickled red onions helped freshen up the taco The Dominion burger was pretty tasty. The onion rings gave it a good crunch factor, the patty was juicy. ($18.5) If you like fried chicken, then you have to order this! It was fried perfectly crispy outside while being juicy on the inside ($18). The side Kale salad was okay (+ $2) We were so full but would come back to try the dessert! The restaurant is located in the Civic Hotel Surrey so it maybe tough to find

Second time having poutine and we loved it. We had it in Hawaii our first time decades ago and it was yucky(made with spam). Tatiana was our waitress and made great recommendations. We hope to make time for another meal here to have the pasta and vegetables dish. The restaurant has a cool clean vibe. Not a lot of stuff and on the trendy side of furnishings. We definitely recommend eating here. We split the classic poutine and edamame and it was enough for 2.

I had ordered the buddha bowl while having lunch with co-workers. I was excited about the gochujang sauce, as it's one of my favourite sauces. However, I was disappointed with my dish. Some of the flavours just didn't really work for me. Tahini kale, pickled red beets, and cherry tomatoes just didn't work with the gochujang. I ended up eating each element on its own. I will give Dominion another try tho. I've heard great things about it from my co-workers. Next time, I am going to get Korean Fried Cauliflower or Tacos.

This is my 3rd time coming in (staying at the civic hotel this past week). This review includes 2 visits: Evening Drinks/Dessert Peach Bellini (3/10) - I was disappointed with this drink. I was expecting peach purée as described on the menu but instead it was a slushy. Similar to a frozen margarita. Was very sugar and honestly could taste any alcohol. Cheesecake dessert (6/10) - nothing special but some of the fruit was frozen so docked it down a bit more. Lunch French 75 drink (9/10) - Still one of the best I've had a restaurant/bar make. KALE, CAESAR! Salad with grilled chicken (5/10) - this was just ok, nothing special. ROASTED TOMATO BISQUE (4/10) - The bread was great! BUT this was not a bisque, this was an oily tomato soup. It was very watery and when served you could see a sheen of oil covering the soup. This recipe was definitely missing a cream base. I guess I had the bad luck of picking no so great menu options this time around. What I had that first visit was much much better.

soggy bacon, and unfortunately they serve you raw pancakes in their breakfast buffet. Hotel is nice and convenient and the night bar food is good. the staff is great it's just this timing of the raw food.

It is beautifully appointed It has nice high ceilings but there is still a warm welcoming feel. It's the staff. They are all so welcoming and treat you like they are genuinely happy to serve you. They have music playing but it is subtle, adds nicely to the ambiance and is not too loud. The food was very good. We got there before happy hour so we were able to order a couple of glasses of decent house wines for $6.00 a glass and shared an appetizer of crispy chicken lettuce bites. For entrees my husband had an 8 oz. prime rib special. It was so good. cooked as he had requested it. One of the better prime ribs that we've tasted and it was only $30.00 as a Sunday special. I had the lamb loin that was also very good. Service was also very good. Our server, Stella was so busy but she checked on us regularly to ensure that we were well taken care of. It is so nice when you go to a restaurant and it exceeds your expectations. This has the vibe of a fine dining restaurant with the décor, the muted background music, the service and the food. The prices are very reasonable for what they offer. We highly recommend and we'll be back.

I didn't actually realize how close it was via transit as it is right at the Surrey Central building where the Surrey SFU campus is. I believe it is the old pub/liquor store that used to be there. It is very beautifully decorated inside for the holiday season and spacious. It looks like it could honestly be nice for corporate events or semi private gatherings like a birthday/retirement or just regular date night. Our server was very nice so no qualms there. The only thing that threw me off was that our table was seated next to a bit of a gap by a booth and servers kept going through that area "as a short cut", which was a little tight on my end instead of them going around our table. that being said it was relatively empty when we came in, so I was kind of hoping that we didn't have to sit so close to other guests when there were available tables elsewhere. We caught happy hour which was nice and I would recommend their prime rib slider. The lettuce chicken wraps were good but nothing to venture out solely for. We had asked if they could substitute tofu instead of the chicken but we weren't able to make any adjustments to the dish. Our waiter did mention that there is a prime rib special on Sundays and that sounds really good. He also recommended to call ahead and reserve as it can often be sold out the day of. The truffle Parmesan fries were great, we got the cheese on the side as my friend is vegan. She had a crispy tofu bowl and said it was good. I'd like to come back for their prime rib special with my family. Pay parking lot is right across from the restaurant by the skytrain. too bad the restaurant doesn't validate parking.

They have 1 girl working behind the pastries counter and only 2 servers in a packed restaurant. The pastry girl greeted us but the servers were so flustered that I had to flag them down to tell them I had a reservation. My first time here I loved the girly decor but this time all I saw were dirty dishes on the table. The servers looked stressed and one girl even dropped a tray full of glasses. There was a long wait to order, get our food, and get our bill. My friend ordered the pork belly eggs benny and it was as delicious as last time. I ordered the truffled mushroom frittata and it was nothing special. It was mostly overcooked eggs with mushrooms and a slice of toast that tasted plain. I told the server it was my friend's birthday and I wanted something special for her. Last time I ordered creme brûlée and they put sparklers on it and "happy birthday" with icing sugar. This time their dessert options were all brunch items: tiramisu French toast, chocolate French toast, hot cakes. None of them sounded appealing and they brought out vanilla ice cream in a small bowl and presentation was pathetic. This place has gone downhill, will not be returning.

The food had a twist of creativity in both the taste and the look, satisfying your palette and your camera. And just like in Australia, their coffee was good but super tiny. Our favorite dish was the peaches and cream hotcakes. Very refreshing. It also had some cream cheese, so it was sweet and savory. Their chicken on their waffle was very nice as well, but their waffle was a savory waffle. Which took away the pleasant combo of sweet and savory. But still very good. I would just order more friend chicken next time. well cooked, crispy pork belly too mmm. Price was decent as portions were generous. Service was friendly, and the food took a moderate food amount of time. We went at 2pm to eat brunch, so hoping that it wouldn't take longer during more peak hours. Parking is a bit of a hassle as it's underground parking. A bit of a trek to come to the restaurant, but I think that's the norm now in greater Vancouver area. Sadly the norm is also paid parking with no validation. But I won't dock off points for the restaurant for that Their menu rotates, so I would love to come back and try something new.

I ordered a jasmine green tea with the Korean spicy chicken eggs Benny. Both drinks came out within a few minutes of our orders being taken and were delicious. I asked for extra hot water and they provided me with an extra small pot of hot water. My friend enjoyed her salad plus almond croissant and I really like the Korean chicken eggs Benny. I didn't think the chicken was spicy but it was juicy, tender, and had good flavours. I did ask the eggs Benny to be poached soft but it was more leaning towards medium but was fine since the yolk wasn't cooked all the way through (which I hate as it gets dry). Cute spot with nice service and reasonable prices (Benny's are $19 each). They serve breakfast, lunch, Happy Hour, and dinner daily with a cocktail and mocktail drinks, along with café tea, coffee, and lattes available. Would definitely be back and recommend to friends.
