Had dinner at this location last week. Service was very slow and poor, asking multiple times for water/drinks (alot of staff standing around and just chatting). Ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered a beer, unfortunately both our drinks tasted like water. Food was mediocre, my husband's steak was not good (rubbery) We love going to earls for a date night, but my last few times we have been to this location it has not been great, hopefully they can get back on track, but we will be going elsewhere now. read more

Had the Prawn Omelet this morning (11:05am Aug 31 2025). I was shocked at the difference from the same time on the previous Sunday? I would give only 1 star but the service was decent that's why I gave it a 2. So to start with I order spicy California Rolls. Something about the sauce was off and there was something hard inside the piece my husband tried. I didn't want to make a big deal so didn't say anything just sort of pushed it aside. Then our main dishes came and I ordered strip loin and prawns, he ordered steak and lobster. We both asked for Medium. No blood we said. I was brought a filet instead which was confusing because not what I ordered but when I asked about it I was told that they ran out of strip loin yesterday. She offered to bring me some prawns To put with the filet. The very rare filet I was brought. My husbands was also basically raw. So we send them to get cooked but then I get my prawns. They looked weird. They were not pink, but white. They were still steaming so I couldn't imagine that they'd be raw. But they were. Gross. I actually tried one and had to spit it out. Steamy and raw, unseasoned, disgusting white prawns. We had been to this Earls location before it has been many years but it was always really good. Not anymore. It just seemed as if someone was really anxious to clock out and go home. They wait staff did seem genuinely embarrassed and comped our meal for us which made sense because after the prawns we just told them don't worry about bringing back those steaks just the bill because we were so fed up by then and left the restaurant starving. read more

The nicest server came back and said that the chef said it had to be full Chicago, or none. I didn't want the whole thing charred, so I said none. Then she came back from the kitchen and said the other chef, who knows steak better, said of course I could get it slightly Chicago. But then I had to ask 3 times for a (free) drink refill. And my daughter's pasta was way undercooked, so had to go back. By the time she got her food, the other five of us were done eating. Maybe I should give them 3 stars. Had a midweek evening meal here and was left a bit upset by the behavior of the kitchen staff. We had a 3 yr old with us & they sat us right next to the kitchen. All we had all night was loud cursing and swearing and general messing around. This wasn't just some low ranking staff messing around this was everybody, from management and chef downwards. Earls - if you're going to have tables within earshot of the kitchen, then some discipline is needed and the foul language turned down a few notches. Especially if there are kids present. The food? Steaks were cooked to our liking but the quality of the meat was not as high as it could be for the money. Sides were basic but fine. I asked for chicken Alfredo for my child and was told they have a 1/2 size portion available so I ordered that. When it arrive it was just pasta and sauce with no chicken. Waitress was pleasant and attentive so that was nice. All in all, there's nothing there in terms of food that I'd go back for, but add in the loud shenanigans and foul language emanating from the food prep areas and I'll never return anyway and cannot recommend. read more

Earl's definitely put the happy in Happy Hour! There's an outside patio available but it faces the parking lot so not much of a view but you're outside. The inside dining area has some lush booths and the big space is very open and comfortable. We started with an 8" Margherita Pizza ($4) with Salami (+$1). A cute little pizza, dough was nice and thin and not greasy. The cheese and sauce was fresh. The Garlic Fries ($4) were Earl's traditional thin fries with a topping of roasted garlic bits and parsley. Fresh and hot fries are the best. Next we had the 3 Street Chicken Tacos ($6). A small tortilla topped with marinated tender chicken and a fresh heap of pico de gallo and crisp cabbage. It was a refreshing and delicious combination. Lastly, we shared the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl ($13). This was definitely my favourite of the bunch. Fresh chunks of ahi tuna marinated in a sweet, soy sauce and accompanied by fresh mangos, cucumber, radish, dried seaweed flakes and half an avocado - all on top of a bed of brown rice. Ordered food back in February for pick up. When I went to pick up the order for a family of 4, they could not get the receipt to work and get a total. As I was waiting the food was sitting there getting cold, so I asked if they could place it back in the kitchen and was told no this would not take much longer, but it did. Dined in for happy hour and everything was pretty good except 1 thing really stuck out. So the service was top notch and consistent with other earls. We happened to arrive a lot earlier than our reservation and it was nice that they could get us in. 2 girls checked in with us frequently, were very attentive and personable. The food was also really good (prawn spaghettini came very hot and they definitely did not skimp out on the prawn. Quality of the prawn was surprisingly good as well!) The only problem I had was that there was a very strange smelly (mildewy) odour when we were in the waiting room. Our party of 5 could also smell it when we were seated (which was a booth in the bar side of the restaurant) but it went away later during our meal. I suspect it may have been something in the cleaning product? Nothing in the restaurant looked anything near dirty as everything was very well kept and felt clean. We even walked through the restaurant to the washroom before our table was ready and didn't smell anything, but it was super noticeable in the waiting room and at the table (for the first part of the meal). We stayed well over the 2 hour maximum time limits that other restos are imposing. We were greeted warmly (as usual) and seated promptly. A familiar server (Emily) rushed over and gushed about how happy she was to see us back. Drinks were never empty and the food was excellent. Aside from the masks everything felt so happy normal and downright cheerful. After a few hours of drinks and nappies we signalled for our bill. Emily, who's served me many times over the years, handed over a bill for ZERO dollars. I could see a mischievous smile from behind her mask. When we looked, she told us that dinner was on them. WHAT?!?!? This bill was HUNDREDS of dollars. Earl's will FOREVER have my business. They really understand how to make their guests feel special and appreciated. First time at this location and came away quite underwhelmed! I had crab cakes & my friend had 1/2 order ribs. Crab cakes were good, but more shrimp than crab, and the salad came dry - no dressing. Jicama salad topping was bland & slices were floppy not crisp. The rib plate was cool, barely warm & the meat tasted as if frozen & reheated; slathered in cold tasteless bbq sauce; the potato side was very good; and while she ate some of the ribs, she was not impressed at taste & overuse of bbq sauce.
