Had dinner here the other night for the first time. Based on this experience, it certainly won't be the last time. We started out with some warm bread, and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the crispy exterior with the sea salt on top, and the inside was so pillowy and buttery - then topped with the blue cheese butter... yum! So good. For my entree, I ordered the truffle tenderloin steak and my dining partner had the ahi tuna. We also added the Brussels sprouts and Brie mashed potatoes to share. A really cool feature is they bring over a selection of steak knives that you can choose from. I really love this concept and whoever thought that up is a genius. I chose a gorgeous, elegant-looking knife with a handle that looked like mother of pearl. The steak was easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. They shave black truffle directly on the steak when it's served, which adds such a nice richness. The sauce is also one of the better sauces I've had on a steak. It was so tempting to want to lick the plate! It was a cooked to a perfect medium rare and so tender. It's been a long time since I was really blown away by a great steak, but this just hit the mark in every way. The Brussels sprouts were great, but there was something in the dish that was a bit odd - almost like wasabi or something. It wasn't bad, it just had a kick that I wasn't expecting and made me cough a little bit. The potatoes were creamy and buttery but I did think the Brie flavour wasn't coming through enough. Maybe because all the other flavours on my plate were pretty strong. I didn't try the tuna but it looked beautiful and apparently tasted just as good. We finished off with a couple of desserts: the beehive pavlova and the crème brûlée, the latter being my typical go-to dessert. Unfortunately, I didn't really care for the salted caramel flavour here, but can't really put my finger on what exactly I didn't enjoy as I normally love salted caramel. One bite was enough for me. It looked amazing, though. I did enjoy the pavlova, but it wasn't a traditional style as it had ice cream inside instead of whipped cream. It was more like a baked Alaska without the flame. The flavours were good on this dessert, but I probably wouldn't order it again as I was really craving the more traditional pavlova. Service was good, but we did wait quite a long time after being seated before placing our order, and then waited again after dessert before getting our bill. We weren't in a hurry, but I think we were there for over 3 hours. Still a very enjoyable meal and I would definitely return for the steak alone. read more

Started with 1/2 price oysters and 2$ off scotch ale happy hour. They also brought complimentary homemade chips and French onion dip with our drinks. Delicious! Ordered the cioppino. Highly recommend! They bring bread and blue cheese butter with the meal. Care is taken to get you all the appropriate utensils for a seafood dinner and shell bowl. Came with the Boyfriend to catch up with a friend of his for Happy Hour. As soon as we entered, we were greeted very warmly and we could see how beautiful the restaurant is. It's a little dark and moody but also sexy, classic, and chic. Decor and ambiance had me at "Wow!" plus the service was attentive and great. We saw a staff member literally going to all the empty tables and wiping down each wine and water glass - great attention to detail. We ordered drinks - white wine for our friend, Stella beer for my boyfriend, and a mocktail virgin mojito for myself. Both the friend and my boyfriend had 3 drinks each and it only totaled to $18 each for 3 drinks - wow! Happy Hour oysters are half off so we placed the maximum order of 24 pieces. The oysters were small and tasted fine but a few of them had a milky look to them and didn't seem very fresh. None of us got sick but don't expect Rodney's or Fanny Batmy quality oysters here. We also ordered the Lobster shrimp roll each for $5.50 per person and that was amazing. The bread was soft, warm, and so buttery loaded with shrimp and lobster pieces - yum yum! Two of us ordered the prime rib sliders and that was also tasty and delicious! I particularly loved the truffle mayo! They start you off with complimentary kettle chips and dip, which was a nice touch. For dinner service, it looks like they serve complimentary fresh bread. I had been wanting to go to Atlas for nearly two years now. The reason for that was because I wanted a Baked Alaska. That wait took nearly 6 years where there was a lot of dead time that I wanted it but didn't know where to get it. A couple of cruises later where I couldn't get my hands on it, and that's how Atlas got on my radar. Funny how there's like 2-3 places in Greater Vancouver that serves the one dish alone. Service was great here. We had a comfy table with plenty of space. The ambience was great for a Saturday night thanks to the live piano performance that was on for most of our stay. Our server Daniela was great with providing suggestions, making small talk with our table, and keeping us topped off for drinks. I tried out the Oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer. I have had very little experience with Oysters besides the Asian style of deep frying them. I thought the Rockerfeller was good but not amazing. My friends weren't super onboard but thought it was fine. I do think as a first time experience it may have had too many things layered as the oyster didn't really standout by itself. I grabbed the Tomahawk Pork Chop for my main. Ordered medium, it was still quite moist and easy to cut through. It was very tasty but I did think the accompanying medley of apple and bacon made it a bit too sweet for some bites. Then came the Baked Alaska time. There was already a slight hiccup as the fans in the seating area were quite strong not allowing for the meringue to be crisped up too well as the flame kept blowing out. I thought the choice of sorbet instead of ice cream was a bit odd. It made the dish as a whole feel sweeter than it should be with normal ice cream. I did very much like the meringue and the sponge cake was nice. I was happy with my outing to Atlas overall. Some disagreements on how the dishes were done but the food was still good overall. Treated my husband to the Langley location for his birthday because he wanted dinner with live piano music. I'm happy to report there is live piano music available (dates and times listed on their website). The restaurant is attached to the Cascades Casino, so most of the parking spots were filled with casino patrons, but there were a fair number of people in the restaurant on a weekday evening. I was glad to see the hostess read my request and seated us right at a table with a good view of the piano bar. The pianist played a lot of contemporary songs, so we had fun trying to guess the song that was being played. One of our dinner traditions is to order calamari as an appetizer, and the only thing we found on the menu was the Spanish Stuffed Calamari. It was good to try something new, but if you are set on having deep fried calamari, then this dish may not be for you (minus the deep fried tentacles). A good experience, but with our personal biased it may not be something we order again. While my husband opted for the steak, I was intrigued by the Josper Grilled Salmon Steak. I was impressed the piece of salmon came out as thick as a slab of steak. They even added grill marks to the meat as if it was a real beef steak. The meat was moist, juicy and delicious. The only part I didn't like were the grill marks. I'm not a fan of grill marks in general because they are always burnt and bitter, and I rarely accompany them with gravy or other sauces. We also ordered two sides: Roasted wild mushroom with truffle fondue and the asparagus with Bearnaise sauce. Both were good additions, I liked the uniqueness of using wild mushrooms versus standard white mushrooms though in my memory it was a touch too heavy on the truffles and fondue. I've been here twice - once with my family and once with my significant other. it runs at about a solid 3 because the price tag is seemingly high on some items (tomahawk and their lobster specials) but also their kind customer service from staff keep me coming back. I will say, their happy hour is more of a fan favourite for me because price point it is just so enjoyable and bang for your buck. The oysters and sliders are pretty good to fill you up and don't hurt the wallet. Also, the table bread is delicious. I just wish there was more of it like the Keg would refill it. the tomahawk was so pricey and truly seemed small for what it was to be and since sides are all a la carte - your bill adds up big time. The brussels sprouts were good, but also super salty and tangy with their balsamic glaze. I don't know if the syrup for their soft drinks were a little off, but we found that our drinks were a bit bland when we brought this to the waitresses attention, we asked for a different soda and she was quick to give arrange that for us. Unfortunately, it does seem like all the drinks were affected by the syrup and we just didn't want to have to hassle her again for another one so we just left it as is with out water. I will say the full Seabass dish was pretty good and while it is a bit pricey again, there aren't many restaurants that do this. The table side features are cool for the experience because it is a lost form for a lot of restaurants to have to prepare your food table side, but you do pay for it. I will say I am a bit of a sucker for presentation so I did enjoy it and I think it is quite a novelty experience. If you're lucky, you can also enjoy some lovely piano music in the lounge, which was a nice mood setter. all in all if you're there for the happy hour, I think it is a great date night or a girls night out and if you have a family occasion, I think people will be impressed, but just be willing to pay big dollars. And as for the tomahawk steak... you can totally skip it - was a bit subpar in my opinion. read more

We could have spent way more but I wasn't that hungry I just wanted to experience this place and I would go again. We stayed overnight at the Coast hotel, so our two dinner options were here and the public house next door. We wanted a nice steak dinner and this place did not disappoint. Our server, Tracy, was attentive, kind, and never rushed us. We happened to stumble upon happy hour where they had an excellent deal on oysters. Not only were they affordable, they were also fresh and tasty as well. Lobster bisque was nicely done with a pan-seared scallop in the center. The bread they offer is a nice addition to the bisque. Our steak was cooked to perfection. The mac n cheese was delicious. Sadly no room for dessert. Thank you Tracy for a lovely service. I went to Atlas Langley for my birthday. Unfortunately the food was lacking excitement. I ordered the sea bass. It was too salty and chard. Actually salt was the only seasoning used. It was a very bland meal. My husband ordered the salmon and I could swear that it was chum. Once again too salty. Even the dinner rolls had an unnecessary amount of salt and butter lathered on it. They did bring me a creme brûlée dessert which looked pretty, but was a slight bit grainy and lacking the subtle sweetness. Unfortunately there was a lots of food left on the plate. The service was lacking. It took a long time for servers to remove our plates. Although our server was nice. Three years ago I ate at Atlas and thought it was good that is why I went back there for my birthday. I left there as a disappointment customer. We were lucky enough to receive an invite to this new establishment prior to it's grand opening on the 16th of this month. Their dry run to work out the kinks left us quite impressed with the decor, the service and the food, even though it's obvious there is some training that needs to be completed. We were sat at a beautifully set table with the banquettes smelling of lovely leather. The cutlery, glassware and plates were of obvious quality. As this was a dry run we were given the menu that was predetermined, so no real choices were made. The bread they brought us with a light Stilton butter was so incredibly good, but what was to come was was over the top. We felt spoiled to be offered the Oysters Rockefeller, the Atlas chilled seafood tower as starters, along with tasty beverages. Our entrees included Crispy Confit Duck leg with seared Foie Gras, Double R Ranch Tomahawk 48 ounce steak with a Green Peppercorn sauce prepared table-side. Linguine Vongole, Grilled Atlantic Lobster Tail, Pan Seared Sea Scallops, Blue Cheese Gnocchi and Jasper Roasted Vegetables. Our dessert of Baked Alaska was also flamed table-side and was a perfect way to end a delicious meal. Our server Tracy was tremendous, especially given how early it is in the restaurant's establishment. She was knowledgeable about the menu, very engaging and obviously a pro at what she does. We stopped by over the weekend for a birthday. We had made reservations in advance. I highly recommend making a reservation as the restaurant was packed. Complimentary bread was dropped off with a side of regular and blue cheese butter after we placed our orders. We ordered a number of appetizers to share. I ordered lobster bisque to share with my husband and it was very good - full of lobster flavour. The scallop and caviar were a nice addition. Steak tartare was tasty. I wish there were more gaufrettes to scoop up the steak tartare. The calamari had a nice grilled flavour. The mussels and clams were okay. All the clam meat fell out of their shells by the time this appetizer arrived to the table. I ordered lamb sirloin as my main entree and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. There were a few potatoes underneath the lamb. We had ordered roasted veggies, whipped brie mashed potatoes and charred asparagus to share for sides. The sides were very tasty and necessary to make the meal more complete. For dessert, I shared a baked Alaska. It was flambéed table side. I found the lemon sorbet to be very tart. I enjoyed the raspberry coconut ice cream more. There was a generous amount of meringue. The birthday girl received a complimentary vanilla cheesecake. Service was mostly good for a busy restaurant. Unfortunately, we had to ask our server to refill water a couple times. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are on the higher side. Overall, 4.5 stars experience. read more

Happy hour Buck a shuck oysters: They were small but for $1, it hit the spot. Limit of 24 per table, but that was plenty for the two of us! Happy hour Meatballs: $4. They were huge and juicy. The sauce it came with was so good. I could just eat those and be fine. Happy hour prime rib sandwich: $4. A bit dry but the meat was juicy and tender. Happy hour scallop and prawn: $4. This was amazing. A coconut curry sauce with 1 scallop and 1 prawn. Definitely not for sharing! New York striploin: my wife and I both had this and were both kind of disappointed. I ordered mine rare and my wife medium rare. Both came cooked medium and both were a bit tough and chewy. Not something you expect from a $54 steak. I've bought 3 striploins from save on for $20 and it was miles better. Sides: Blue cheese Gnocchi: I love blue cheese. This was amazing to me. My wife wasn't as convinced as she isn't a huge blue cheese fan. Order only if you like blue cheese! Truffle Parmesan fries: these were pretty good. Just some fries with Parmesan and truffle on them. Roasted wild mushrooms: these were amazing! We are these before anything else because they were so good! Dessert: Baked Alaska: this was amazing. They bring it out table side and set it on fire to get that amazing campfire marshmallow meringue outside. This is big enough for 4-6 people. We couldn't finish it. Overall the food was 3 stars because of the steak. But the service and atmosphere bumped it up to 4 stars. Maybe we will try something else next time. read more

Came here with my girlfriends for a girl's night and had a pretty decent experience. Given the atmosphere and setting is actually super nice and definitely great for a date night, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. To start, we had the Parmesan truffle fries and oysters rockerfeller. The truffle fries were just regular fries with an aoli/sauce on top with a slight taste of truffle oil and just a bit of parm at the bottom of the plate. The oysters rockerfeller were overpowered by the spinach so that itself wasn't great either. My girlfriend and I had the linguine vingole and that was actually very good. The sauce was perfect, not too overpowering, and had just the right amount of clams. My other girlfriend had the mushroom risotto and I though that was quite nice as well. Overall, the food was okay, service was great, but whether or not I'd return, possibly if I wanted to try something else or for a couple drinks. read more

Booked a family birthday celebration dinner here after recommendations from friends. Upon arrival, ambiance is nice, service is great, but I am sadly to say that the food was disappointing, especially my chilli rubbed cowboy ribeye. I normally order this cut whenever it is available, and have lots of experience dining at a vast array of steakhouses around the world. I found this steak to be very tough and chewy, and not flavourful not properly seasoned . Frankly this is probably the worst rib steak that I have ever had, which came as a real disappointment given the hype and since it was my actual birthday being celebrated. Everything else seemed fine, but for my upscale steakhouse experience, it was a fail. Sad as I was really hopeful for it to be a great local find, sadly not to be. read more

It's definitely over the top for cost in comparison for what you get. There are many other choices where flavour and entree portions are much better. The Brie mashed potatoes didn't have much flavour for anything other than standard mashed potatoes, they were very creamy though. The chimichiri was over the top in garlic and the portion size you get for lamb is extremely little for what you pay. The shared asparagus was enough only for one person. The bread they start you with was very very good. The deserts weren't anything special for paying so much for such a small portion. At the end of the day it wasn't a restaurant that my wife and I would probably go to again for what you pay, the lack in flavour profiles and portion amounts. read more

Top notch! The wait staff was attentive, personable without smothering us. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Everyone at the table raved about their steaks. My lamb was slightly on the dry side but still quite good. Next time I'll get a steak. Dessert was excellent (cheese cake) and artfully presented. Popped in here for a quick happy hour on Friday, absolutely stellar experience. They have a wonderful patio with comfy booths, linen napkins, and very well appointed tableware and glasses. Prices are quite reasonable, We had the artisanal cocktail of the day; a splendid concoction with fresh lemon, crown royal, and basil, and a few other delicious ingredients I can't remember :-) Oysters are a dollar apiece and delicious with a champagne mignonette. Also tried the warm prime rib slider as well as scallops and tiger prawns in a coconut curry cream. The service was excellent, they were very knowledgeable about the food and wine and extremely pleasant. I had the cream of potato soup and the Confit Duck Leg. Both were delicious. My table was next to the open kitchen and got to see most of the other dishes, they all looked amazing. Images of day old buffet food and cigarette smoke wafting from the peeling bar flood the imagination. 1960's Vegas couldn't be further away in time or atmosphere at this "on point" establishment. We ended our evening, 3.5 hours that passed in a blink, feeling like we had escaped the dreary rain and enjoyed a cosmopolitan adventure. The services was spectacular, the presentation of each of 3 courses appetizing to the eye and watering to the mouth. The actual food was excellent- several grades above The Keg or Cactus Club. The price point however competes with them well. This place is an unexpected jewel in the Langley crown, and the greatest compliment I can give: We felt like we weren't in Langley. read more

My only complaint with that was we were seated right beside the piano and it was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation. My boyfriend had the duck and it was really good and juicy. I had the chicken. The vegetables and sauce was good. The chicken itself was very dry. The first piece they gave me was very burned and tasted like burned toast. The waitress noticed I wasn't enjoying the burned pieces and I told her its okay but the manager gave me a different one. The second piece wasn't burned but it was sooo dry. Wow. Where can I start? From when you walk towards the door - you see a beautiful waterfall around the doorway. Live piano music caressed our ears as we were guided to our seats. Our server Devon was incredible. From helping with drink ideas to explaining their special oven to making us feel at ease in such a fancy environment. My first cocktail was quite bitter - thankfully they quickly replaced it and didn't make me feel bad at all for not enjoying my drink. We had prawn appetizers - they were great. We got the salad with the table side experience. So much fun and it was delicious. I got the prime rib and my wife the striploin steak. Mine was delicious - more fat than I would have expected - but delicious. Great sides. My wife's steak was yummy - the unique smoky taste was a great experience. The server picked a great wine to pair with our main course. Dessert was a creme Brûlée - yummy. And came with house-made fresh biscotti. The whole night was fun - we even got to pick the knife by which we ate our main dish! Fun idea. One downside - Parking. Because it shares a venue with a Casino and pub - it was difficult to find nearby parking. read more

Date Night with my Husband. This place was recommend by our family friend so we decided to try it out. Resturant has a time limit of 2Hours and mandatory mask for entry. You can remove your mask at your table, but must wear it when moving around [ ex. going to washroom or bar] . Ambiance and decor was tasteful, the pianist that night created a nice atmosphere. Staff were all nicely dressed, polite, good service overall. Our server was knowledgeable with the food, and really friendly. Happy Hour between 4-6PM for $1 oysters. We started with 24 oysters for our appetizer. Oysters were extremely fresh, one of the best I've had for a long time. I highly recommend it [Rate 5/5] . Entrees I ordered spicy Lobster Spaghettini - It was really good, nice size lobsters but was not really spicy [ Rate 4/5] . Husband ordered - Prime Rib with Mash [ medium Rare ]- Quality was okay, it was a bit burnt and didn't really taste like prime Rib. He rated 3/5. Overall Great Experience and good food. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. I loved the décor. It would probably be really nice for a date night. The ambience is really relaxed. I do feel like the restaurant is geared towards an older crowd though. The service was really nice and attentive - multiple times we had other staff members delivering our food and asking if we wanted more drinks. Our main server was awesome. The food was alright in my opinion. We got the oysters rockefeller and truffle fries to start. The oysters were okay, but the taste of spinach kind of took over. The truffle fries were delicious. I ordered the mushroom risotto and my gf's ordered the linguine. The portions were huge so I had a LOT left over that I took home. My risotto was a bit underwhelming. I'd probably return to try something else or go for drinks but otherwise this wouldn't be my first choice. read more
