    Hot wings extra ranch

I kept hearing about this place and finally made it in to check it out! We were searching for the best patio in South Surrey. This place is huge! They have multiple patios and a large inside seating area and bar. Make sure to check out the bookshelf wall in the back near the bathrooms if you're a book lover! We had hot wings to start, and then for the main course we had the Steak with Caesar salad and the Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza, adding wild mushrooms. Everything was great! It's one of the best restaurant Caesar salads I've had in a while. My companion and I shared the steak and salad and they split it up so nicely for us. Great service! Our server was friendly and attentive. Patio was lovely. I wish they had blue cheese dip for the wings! But everything was wonderful and we will be back to try more menu items and enjoy the patio again.

I had come to this restaurant with my family for lunch. The only qualm that I had with our daddy experience is that they put us at a booth that was still dirty. we asked to get a cloth to clean it up and then all was fine. We had a trainee server who was nice, but could use some refinement and that will come with time and exposure of the menu and getting orders from customers. The one thing that I really want to highlight is that we were sharing meals as we had a lot of seniors in my group - and they very kindly had the kitchen split the plate already instead of us having to ask for an extra plate and halving it ourselves. That was great and the portions were perfect for my party. The downside of this restaurant is that it is located upstairs, but there are stairs or elevator that you can take. And the booths are all one step up so if you do have some mobility issues, it can be difficult to get into. They do have tables that are on the ground, but in terms of booth sizing it's a step up. The restaurant itself is quite huge as it expands into the back with what looks like a semi private area decorated kind of like a book nook. The bathrooms are nice, spacious and clean.

Not a great experience! Not a fan of their staff at this location. But their food was okay. Giving two stars for the food only. ZERO stars to the servers. We went and it was extremely crowded inside. We asked for a table. They told us they were full because of the games. The patio had tons of empty tables. I said I see lots of tables available. Three wait staff started whispering something to each other, smirked and said "OK, we'll give you a table". We followed the waiter to the patio and she put us right in the corner, which was literally behind the doors and where the sun could've blinded us. I said it was too sunny and it was hurting my eyes. She replied "if you don't take it you'll have to wait 2-3 hours". We are both working professionals and had a long week and were both hungry, so we decided to just sit down, eat and get out! And that's exactly what we did. There was no sense of community or belonging; just a plain transactional experience. What a weird place to expect a nice dining experience LOL We'll never go back to this location. We've been to others and they've been pretty good! The servers are unfriendly and stare at you when you're paying your bill. I actually said to my husband a tip wasn't necessary but he did anyways.

We stopped by for brunch over the weekend. We were the first to arrive at 10am. The restaurant was quiet and we were seated quickly. We ordered the croque madame, the double bacon benny with tots, a side of sourdough and bacon and a spicy tropical spritz. Everything arrived fairly quickly as we were the only customers. Drink was refreshing with the pineapple, lime, passion fruit and soda mix. The croque madame was carb overload. I did not realize it was going to be a sandwich with an egg on top. I would have gotten a side salad instead of the Yukon gold potatoes. The potatoes were alright. I found it a bit on the greasy side. The sandwich was great. I would reorder again as bread soaked with sauce and egg are a tasty combination. The benny was made well. Egg was medium poached and there was a good amount of hollandaise sauce. The tots were more enjoyable than the Yukon gold potatoes. Service was fantastic as we were the only customers. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant itself. The outside view of power lines could be better. However, that is out of the location's control.

First time visiting this place. Lovely room, friendly staff. Menu is interesting. One of our party couldn't get even one slice of the Spicy Calabrese Pizza down - over the top on the heat meter. We enjoyed the poke bowl. The Tap & Barrel will merit a place in our lunch rotation.

The layout of the interior, lighting, tables & bar are what restaurants should look like - amazing vibe & style. I was impressed. Sat out on the patio, which was closed due to the overcast sky. Nonetheless, it actually felt comfortable sitting there. Tried a new menu item - Scallop + Prawn Ceviche. It was excellent. Also went for the always reliable - Szechuan Lettuce Wraps. Both these items were stellar in taste & presentation. I had just enough room for dessert - the Chocolate Lava Cake. So good I wanted another one! The hosts & servers were warm & very pleasant. I'll definitely be coming back here again to this particular location. Ps I noticed on their website - locations in Boston & Miami will be opening up.

The…read morebirthday boy's love for meat is legendary--think T-Rex at a steakhouse--while I'm a reluctant vegetarian, more out of necessity than choice (thanks, digestive system). Service? Always top-notch. I've never met a server here who wasn't excellent. The birthday boy stuck to his tried-and-true favourite, while I set out on a culinary adventure and ordered the vegetarian Golden Harvest Bowl. Turns out, this bowl should've been taste-tested by Gordon Ramsay first--he'd have launched it across the room, where it would have landed on the wall in a glorious Jackson Pollock tribute. The falafels? More like "fail-afels"--they were so dark and mushy, I'm convinced they were science experiments gone wrong. The taste was like someone spilled a cauldron full of salty brown gravy mix into the batter, and then shrunk them to the size of a hedgehog chocolate (adorable, but only if you're not planning to eat them). I couldn't even choke down one--my taste buds staged a mutiny. The rice, masquerading as "pilaf," was really just yellow rice impersonating something more exotic, while desperately dreaming of spices and salt. The side? Two halved cherry tomatoes (bless their hearts) and about three tablespoons of angrily chopped raw red cabbage. No seasoning on those either, unless "disappointment" counts. Beneath the rice lay a mysterious yellow mush, possibly sauce, possibly another science experiment. All of it was served at less-than-room temperature--so cold it could've auditioned for a role as the iceberg in Titanic. I ate the cherry tomatoes and red cabbage, and left the rest as a modern art installation on my plate. Meanwhile, the birthday boy was happily tucking into his main, but his beloved Mushrooms Neptune appetizer had fallen from grace. He remembered the glorious old days--big, juicy mushroom caps, with real seafood bits swimming in cream cheese and mozzarella. Now? Just a couple of mushroom scraps, zero seafood, and the cream cheese had the consistency of existential dread. COVID changed a lot: portion sizes shrank, quality dove off a cliff, and prices soared like a Vancouver Condo rent. But come on - this is The Keg! The bill for our alcohol-free meal? A cool $140.00. For that price, we could've hit the Indian place on Scott Road and dined like royalty, with both of our bellies full - and not of regret either! Moral of the story? Never expect a decent ethnic-vegetarian dish at a restaurant where the mascot is a ribeye. If you're a vegetarian tagging along, eat before, and just show up for the laughs. You'll have more fun, and your stomach will thank you. As for the Golden Harvest Bowl at The Keg? I recommend it only if you're looking for a new way to start a Riot of Disappointment. Sorry, no photos. I was so stunned I forgot to take pictures.

This was my first visit to this location but I've eaten at many Keg locations across Canada. I've always recommended the Keg as the best place to get a great steak due to the consistency in the quality of their food as well as the overall experience in dining out at their restaurants. On this particular visit, the service was excellent. Our party was quite large but absolutely everyone felt taken care of and our server was truly wonderful. It was quite loud in the restaurant because it was really busy and everyone was having a great time, but she managed to get everyone's order correct and did a fantastic job. The downside on this visit was the food. I ordered a steak with lobster, which is not something I would usually order. My go-to meal choice has almost always been the Filet Classic dinner, which has never disappointed me before. As it was a special occasion, I splurged and added a lobster tail. I was actually very surprised when my plate arrived to see a dried up, almost mangled-looking, and quite small, lobster tail. I did bring it to the server's attention and she immediately brought a replacement; however that one wasn't much better. It did not taste very good and had a rubbery consistency. I honestly didn't want to make a big deal about it as I didn't want to upset my friend (the guest of honour) who was sitting beside me. I did ask for a box to take the rest of my meal home, but a couple of other things I noticed were the green beans had not been properly trimmed and still had the stems connecting several beans together, which told me the kitchen staff was not prepping the food with much care. The vegetables were not well seasoned, again, very unusual for a Keg meal. I will say that the steak was well cooked to mid-rare as I requested, but the rest of the meal just fell flat for me this visit. The Keg has always been a place I recommend to anyone looking for a great night out but when people are spending upwards of $100 per person on a meal, they hope every part of that experience is worth their hard-earned money. I hope the kitchen staff pays more attention to their food prep going forward as I know the Keg is definitely capable of providing a five-star experience.

Just an A+ experience all around. All I can say is WOW!!! I'm a huge fan of Indian cuisine, so I've tried a bunch of Indian restaurants, but this is one of the top! I've never had Indian food this good. The chef knows his stuff. I think the reason why the food is so good is how much heart and soul they put into their cooking. You can taste the passion in every mouthful, and it makes the whole experience even more special. Forget about the ordinary Indian places you've been to; Clove takes things to a whole new level. The flavours here are unlike anything you've ever tasted. Actually talking about it is making me hungry for them again. You can tell there's real thought, real skill, real flavour behind everything. Food of course speaks for itself, nothing I could beat anywhere else! Clove is one of those rare places that gets everything right -- atmosphere, service, mocktails, and food. The ambiance is stunning, and you're immediately greeted by warm, welcoming staff. And if you want the full experience, ask for Simran. She's the star of the show. Perfect recommendations, amazing service, and just genuinely makes you feel welcomed. She deserves all the praise! All the flavours hit the right notes in a perfect symphony. Every dish is packed with flavour, and you can really tell how much thought goes into the ingredients and cooking. The flavours are bold but well balanced, and nothing feels overdone. Each course stands out on its own, and everything tastes consistently excellent. For the main course, we had the butter chicken and wow -- it was incredible. The quality, spice, and flavour were off the charts. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with flavour, easily the best we've had around here. The butter naans, cheese naans and garlic naans were the perfect sides -- soft, warm, and just the right amount of indulgent. And the presentation speaks for itself in the pictures. The food quality is nothing short of exceptional--each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and presented with an artistic flair. Every dish is a testament to the chef's mastery and passion for Indian cuisine. One bite of the Amritsari Cod Pakora and you'll be hooked! You won't be able to stop eating them! When the mocktails (Lycheenis, Blue Caribbean, Pineapple Mango Margarita) are looking this good, you know they taste even better. The Berry-licious Gajrela was the best fix for my sweet tooth! Every dish was expertly prepared, and the flavours were spot on. The entire team works together seamlessly to create an unforgettable atmosphere. This place is the epitome of customer service. The seamless teamwork between them, coupled with impeccable professionalism, added a personal touch to our visit. What truly sets Clove apart is its unwavering commitment to providing impeccable service. The service is outstanding; the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, ensuring that every detail is perfect and that you feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout your meal. Textures, flavours, spice, presentation - it was all outstanding. We honestly wanted to order every item on the menu...that's how great everything tasted. There's so much love in every dish and you can taste it immediately. I cannot speak highly enough of the service, especially Simran. The only thing better than the delicious food and the beautiful ambience, is the lovely staff that treats everyone like family. Highly recommend if you're craving Indian comfort food done right. A general rule I have is never go to a restaurant that has no one eating in it and when we came here we thought it might be closed because there were so few people only two tables occupied. Despite the place being empty the surly older women who greeted us made us do go to the front desk and do a reservation. We had two mocktails that were huge but bland (a complaint also made by another table), a appitizer that was pretty but rather than bland and that despite being cold and there literally be no other tables at that point it took 25 minutes to get and then we were served after almost an hour two of the most over salted dishes I have ever been served in a restaurant. I don't know if the cook didn't taste the dish or there is something deeply wrong with their palate but after a few bites neither of us could continue to it. We told both our younger server and the surly women that it was inedible and the surly woman just laughed which was nuts and the younger woman offered to have them "fix" it which I don't know how you fix an OVER SALTED dish with remaking it completely. While we aren't Indian, I have lived in Indian and have been adopted by aunties and ammas from both the north and the south and there is no way my Keralian dish nor my spouse's Punjabi dish should have tasted the way it did. Even after sending both dishes back barely eaten they still tried to make us pay for them only giving us 15 percent off a meal where again we could not eat our entrees. To top it off half way through our meal the surly women decided to spray airfresher right behind us which felt extremely rude and smelled disgusting. The other server claimed they had a "water leak" from the roof and the sole other table complained of a smell. I have no idea what these people's issue is but you can't have food that bad and be that rude even if you are in the heart of a large Indian population that will support you no matter how bad you are.

Our group came to the restaurant during Happy Hour time, so upon walking in and checked in, we were seated pretty quickly. We sat at the booth section versus the bar area and the booths are really spacious to where even sitting with 3 people on one side, you still have a bit of wiggle room. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very eccentric, positive vibes but the lighting was pretry dim that we had to use our flash light every so often. Service-wise, our waitress was professional, positive, efficient and seemed like she was pretty new to this but was doing great! She provided us water and took our drink order a couple minutes after. Upon bringing our drinks, we were ready to order and she quickly took our order. After ordering, it was not long before our food came out, within 5-10 minutes and the waitress frequently checking up on how we were doing. Really great service in the end! The food that was provided to us was really good! The Chicken Gyoza was bomb, very flavorful and was not dry, as you might think. When biting in, the juices of the chicken melts in your mouth and wanting more. The Hot wings was definitely way too hot for me, as I am not a spicy food person, but my family loved the hot wings a lot. The Sweet Thai Chili wings was very good itself and surprisingly not that spicy but just that sweet kick and VERY juicy in texture and flavor. Lastly, the Snacker Nachos was very cheesy, not dry in flavor and adding the Tandoori Chicken in, made it even better to where me and my family just wanted more of the tandoori chicken! Overall experience for us was great, especially for first impressions, the service was exceptional and food was fulfilling! Would recommend this restaurant for casual and party gathering, if wanting to having a relaxed and fun time.
