Surrey has too many "indianized" food joints and I was reluctant to go to another one. But this place was way better! Even though we were not greeted immediately, we were helped with our seats within a minute. The booths are spacious and not crammed which I really liked. Waitresses are very young and you can see they have been asked to dress in a particular way which is well fine but feels like they have been ASKED to wear short clothes. Anyway, that wasn't an issue just an observation. We ordered our food and the waitress recommended drinks. We had paneer paratha, pav bhaji, chicken Kadhai, naan, chicken nuggets with Kit Kat shake. All of our food was delicious! It was delivered by a robot and my kid was super excited. Paneer paratha was huge and very tasty. Pav bhaji was good and came with 3 pavs. Chicken kadhai was perfect spice level and my kids shake was very good. Overall, good food, good ambience. Their reception area needs to work on greetings though. We were literally looked through when we came in and left.

Went their for brunch and it was the only place in Surrey which open early. They have lot of food options. Fascination part was robot who deliver food and make you seated. Food is decent ..... server was nice . Ambiance was little dark side guess this place is more meant for dinner and not brunch . Service was slow but taste of food was good. Kulcha were great and momos were nice

The food never disappoints. This is my 4th coming here in the past 2 months. The food is full of flavours, the service is quick and friendly and the robots that deliver our food are super cool!

The customer service was just ordinary. Didn't feel a good greeting was offered. After a long wait of 30 minutes, a fun minimalist robot delivered the food and all the items were delicious. Ordered Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhature, Paneer paratha and Pink tea. All of the plates were clean sweep. The ambience was elegant and restrooms were very clean. Will definitely visit again.

"Mild" butter chicken farfalle.

Took 45 minutes for the food to come out and it tasted mediocre. Staff was nice but Just sat around. Asked for mild butter chicken but tasted like spicy marinara sauce. It was Christmas, so another night might not be the same. In my opinion, the fusion experiment didn't really work. But it was reasonably priced.

I stopped by this restaurant for a lunch date with some friends. There was a large menu selection so I found it difficult to decide what to order. Also, the menu needed more photos or item descriptions to better explain the menu items for people not familiar with Indian cuisine. I asked a server about a particular menu item and she was not able to explain it clearly to me. I was able to make my decision after my friend explained some of the menu items to me. I ordered a few items. The chicken nuggets and fries were average. The fries had some seasoning on it, but my child still enjoyed the meal. I really enjoyed the amritsari kulcha with paneer. It was the highlight of the meal with freshly made bread stuffed with paneer. The chickpea was tasty with a spicy kick. The yogurt was just regular plain yogurt. There was a side of butter to make the meal more buttery if that is what you wanted. The pickled mango and onion silvers cut the heaviness of the meal. It was interesting getting served by a robot. My child really loved the experience. I thought it would have been faster to have an actual person dropping off the food. I found food service to be a bit on the slower side. Food arrived at different times. So we had to wait a bit before everyone received their order. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. I found the prices to be reasonable too.

Solid Spot in the Mall, But Some Temperature Issues…read more This was my first time at this particular Ustaad G location, though I'm familiar with the chain. It's situated inside a shopping mall and was pleasantly clean and not too crowded when I visited. I was seated right away, and the waitress was excellent--attentive and checked on me multiple times to ensure everything was good. I ordered my all-time favourite, the Amritsari Kulcha. The bread itself was fantastic and arrived piping hot, just as it should. However, the dish was a bit inconsistent. While the kulcha was hot, the accompanying chickpeas and condiments were only lukewarm. As a former restaurant owner myself, I'm a stickler for this: hot food should be served hot across the board. The portion size was okay, but the garnish was surprisingly minimal--just a few sparse pieces of carrot that looked a bit sad in the tray (see my photo). Despite that, the core flavours were enjoyable. It's not the same as what you'd find in Amritsar, but it's a satisfying dish. Pricewise, well this is Canada and in line with the economy. My Ratings: Ambience: 4/5 - Clean and modern. Service: 5/5 - Prompt and very attentive. Food & Value: 3.5/5 - Tasty, but the temperature issue and skimpy garnish hold it back. A good meal, but with a little more attention to detail on the kitchen line, it could be a great one.

Both were very tasty (authentic, not watered down to cater to the masses/non-Indians). And very filling. I actually ordered a second Choley + Puri because it was so good, but then I had to take it to go because I was full...but I wanted to keep eating because the food was so tasty! Very friendly dude in the front, and he was happy to help identify the dishes that were already vegan or could easily be made vegan. 10/10 would recommend. We'll definitely be going back for more. FYI, for any vegans reading this review - this place (Namdhari) makes the food from scratch, unlike a lot of other Indian places we called in the area. The other places told us that they pre-make the bases (i.e. tarka) which include dairy (butter, ghee), so they aren't able to veganize their dishes.

It wasn't oily and didn't feel super deep fried compares to most Indian restaurants I've been to. The portion was just the right amount, and left me satisfied. If you're in Surrey, this is a must stop for vegetarian food! The customer service was amazing, the family is very humble and sweet.

The venue is quite large, and it was packed. There is also a covered N facing patio, which I am sure is nice in the summer evenings. The interior decor is definitely on the fancier side. Staff were scrambling all over. Place sure was busy. The selection is definitely quite remarkable. There are dozens of curries (most I've seen anywhere), and stations for salad, meat, and dessert. The lineups are honestly a bit chaotic, and some lines moved much faster than others for some reason. The trick is to pace oneself and hit each station individually. Also helps to carry 2 plates. Food quality was honestly average. It is a buffet after all. With that said, I definitely got my fill. Be sure to leave some room at the end for ice cream. The place is definitely worth trying once for the experience.

There are 2 locations - this location can walk in to order any kind of samosa, while the other location will require preorder 1 day notice for samosas that are not the potato & peas original one. I went here on a Saturday 11am and there was a good amount of people picking up bulk orders, but since we wanted to try the quality of the samosas, we ordered by the piece. Each piece is around 1-2 CAD each which is very good price. We got 1 of each (potato & peas (original), garden mix vegetables, beef, chicken, paneer, and butter chicken). We got a small tamarind chutney sauce for 0.50CAD extra. Total was around 9 CAD which is quite a solid price for a meal for 1 person (snack for 2 people). I liked their potato & peas (original) the most and all their vegetarian options are solid. The meat options are more ground meat so I'm not that big of a fan, but they're still good. It's just the value lies in the vegetarian samosas. Next time I bring a cooler and order in bulk, to enjoy at the comfort of my home for multiple meals!
