Pretty decent ayce spot! Butter chicken and naan was good! Fish pakora as well they tries to upsell drinks and whatnot which is something that an ayce place shouldn't???? All the other Asian places that we went for ayce was super chill but this was left a bad taste in our mouth?

Had a great lunch at Tandoori Flame on Labour Day! We were greeted by a kind server who was very attentive and cleared our plates frequently. The buffet itself had a large selection of different Indian dishes, with street food like pani puri and specialties like goat curry and fish pakora. There was also a fresh salad bar, some pizza and pasta, as well as a large range of sweets and ice cream. I really loved that they were making so much fresh throughout service.. so nice to see them making the dosa and naan in front of you, and to see the cooks chopping up veggies behind the counter for all the different curries. I found the buffet to be clean and well stocked with fresh and delicious offerings. It got quite busy but I was still able to try everything I wanted to. It was a great lunch and I'm looking forward to returning!

Didn't get many photos as I was soo hungry lol.. have been here a number of times over the years.. I always enjoy the experience.. the interiors are so nice and sleek.. perfect for group dining.. a large variety of appie, mains and desserts.. I like that they have sectioned areas for regular dishes, vegetarian dishes and halal dishes.. large variety of cocktails and mocktails as well.. there is a 12% "facility charge" for groups of 5+.. service from our server was lovely - I noticed service is always lovely here .. one major negative was that I saw the chefs in the open kitchen preparing the curries today using a variety of store bought instant boxed curry mixes - that was disappointing and surprising

3.5 stars kinda place. Wide selection of items at mediocre taste. Appetizers are good. Tandoori chicken and chicken tikkas were good. Chaat was good. Curries and entrées were very average. Desserts were good. They make Jalebi and malpua in front of you, but there is a line for it as the fryer capacity is relatively small. I loved their hot jamun, badam halwa and moong dal halwa. The restaurant and good ambiance and plenty parking. Service was quick as well. We did not order any drinks or bottled water. But based on other reviews be mindful of the prices of the drinks before you order. Definitely worth going atleast once.

Nice looking place with plenty of different dishes to choose from. Never seen an Indian cuisine buffet before so it was pretty awesome for those of us who never know what to order beyond Tikka masala and butter chicken from a regular sit-down Indian restaurant. We got to try new dishes and will hopefully be able to remember the names of the ones we really liked so we can order them again. So many dishes to choose from. I read this guy's review just now and wish I had read it before going there: https://yelp.to/hNrjxbBkkv Basically, the water in the bottles in front of you are not free. Ask for tap water if you don't want to be paying $6 for bottled water. They don't warn you ahead of time but have little QR code for beverage prices on them. Saw them way after we already got the upsell on alcohol. Live and learn. Saw a sign that kids before 11 are free to eat there every Wednesday.

A lot of great reviews about this place from many of my associates. This was one of the must visit place if someone ever cross the border from Washington side. It's a very large buffet place with wide selection items. You have to wait to be seated. Interiors are so cool. Well organized. You can see the chefs making different dishes. Plenty of starters - chicken, fish, paneer - in tandoori section. They have a chaat section and dosa corner along with that. Around 6-7 chicken or meat curries. Vegetarian section also have a handful of curries. You can either take rice, biryani or freshly made rotis. They do have Indo-Chinese options like Fried rice, noodles and manchurians. So many salad options and variety of chutneys. So many flavors of ice creams, cakes and other dessert options as well. Kids corner offers some lights snacks, mostly nuggets, fries etc. It is an impossible task for anyone to try all these items. We pick and choose the one we felt the good options. Very impressed with the appetizer options. The Tandoori Paneer and the chicken malai tikka were outstanding. The grilled/tandoori fish was very decent as well. Dosa corner wasn't very impressive so as chaat section. Most the chicken and goat curries were ok. But the vegetable/paneer curries were not up to the mark. Same applies to the Indo-Chinese options - below par. Really enjoyed the salad bar and the dessert section. Kids had a field day! Service is good. Very courteous and always attentive. Positive part of the experience - there were a lot of food; if you don't like one, just try different ones. Apart from a few dishes, felt most of the options were mediocre. I tried this place twice - once during a weekday and then a weekend as well. Experience was more or less the same! Solid 3.5 place!

My boyfriend and I went to tandoori flame on our way back from Vancouver back to the states! Best pit stop made! I've seen this place on multiple social media influencers and was itching to try it! There is ample parking, tons of tables, and a general pristine, clean buffet! For the wide variety of food, this place is affordable. Imagine having to order over 50 different dishes in takeout, versus just arriving to try anything and everything. My top favorite was the chili fish, chicken tikka masala, and the gulag jamun (with soft serve on top). I was so happy to see a place routinely replace their food and workers who wiped off any splatters or spills. I can tell this place has a large wait staff to ensure if anything is needing a customer can ask. Everything was so flavorful which is something that is hard to maintain when cooking food in bulk. The place is clean, open tables, and hands down one of the best buffets I have been too

When you're hungry this place is a good place to fill up. The large selection of items in this buffet will blow your mind. The meat items and spices are so many. Even the dessert options are many with soft serve, cakes, fruits etc. I wish I could eat more and didn't want to leave but they have a 1.5 hour seating likit which flies by fast. Come hungry!

Stark contrast in reviews from Yelp to Google but I came for the buffet. Interiors looked beautiful and clean. Staff were super friendly. It was kind of obvious it was our first time there but they went out of the way to make sure everything was good. One staff member (Kashies) even brought over pani puri to us and showed us how to assemble it. Overall, lots of items to satisfy any type of eater!

Lost its charm. Food was ok, only the sweets were good. Not worth the price. Luckily they don't charge for water now.

Solid Spot in the Mall, But Some Temperature Issues…read more This was my first time at this particular Ustaad G location, though I'm familiar with the chain. It's situated inside a shopping mall and was pleasantly clean and not too crowded when I visited. I was seated right away, and the waitress was excellent--attentive and checked on me multiple times to ensure everything was good. I ordered my all-time favourite, the Amritsari Kulcha. The bread itself was fantastic and arrived piping hot, just as it should. However, the dish was a bit inconsistent. While the kulcha was hot, the accompanying chickpeas and condiments were only lukewarm. As a former restaurant owner myself, I'm a stickler for this: hot food should be served hot across the board. The portion size was okay, but the garnish was surprisingly minimal--just a few sparse pieces of carrot that looked a bit sad in the tray (see my photo). Despite that, the core flavours were enjoyable. It's not the same as what you'd find in Amritsar, but it's a satisfying dish. Pricewise, well this is Canada and in line with the economy. My Ratings: Ambience: 4/5 - Clean and modern. Service: 5/5 - Prompt and very attentive. Food & Value: 3.5/5 - Tasty, but the temperature issue and skimpy garnish hold it back. A good meal, but with a little more attention to detail on the kitchen line, it could be a great one.

Both were very tasty (authentic, not watered down to cater to the masses/non-Indians). And very filling. Very friendly dude in the front, and he was happy to help identify the dishes that were already vegan or could easily be made vegan. 10/10 would recommend. We'll definitely be going back for more. FYI, for any vegans reading this review - this place (Namdhari) makes the food from scratch, unlike a lot of other Indian places we called in the area. The other places told us that they pre-make the bases (i.e. tarka) which include dairy (butter, ghee), so they aren't able to veganize their dishes.

There are 2 locations - this location can walk in to order any kind of samosa, while the other location will require preorder 1 day notice for samosas that are not the potato & peas original one. I went here on a Saturday 11am and there was a good amount of people picking up bulk orders, but since we wanted to try the quality of the samosas, we ordered by the piece. Each piece is around 1-2 CAD each which is very good price. We got 1 of each (potato & peas (original), garden mix vegetables, beef, chicken, paneer, and butter chicken). We got a small tamarind chutney sauce for 0.50CAD extra. Total was around 9 CAD which is quite a solid price for a meal for 1 person (snack for 2 people). I liked their potato & peas (original) the most and all their vegetarian options are solid. The meat options are more ground meat so I'm not that big of a fan, but they're still good. It's just the value lies in the vegetarian samosas. Next time I bring a cooler and order in bulk, to enjoy at the comfort of my home for multiple meals!

The price of the samosa is also decent, starting from $1.10 or so, much cheaper than in the Indian restaurants. I don't like that the sauce is not included and you have to pay extra for that.
