This is really simple yes but something I've not seen outside restaurants in Kerala or the Middle East. Went to their buffet on Sunday and tried every one of the items I mentioned above and more. Absolutely delicious and reminded me of food cooked at home in Kerala. If you are a Malayali you know what I'm talking about, this place is legit. She apologized for the wait and that they were so busy. But their email system should not say 30 minutes if it will be one hour. She said she couldn't change the email. Well she could have emailed or called to tell me it will be 60 minutes so that way I'm not waiting at the restaurant for 30 additional minutes. Also, don't lie and tell me 5-10 minutes to give me false hope. Tell me the truth so I can at least go sit in my car or get my phone or do errands instead of wasting my time. This does seem to be a highly recommended place to eat Indian food in Surrey. I had the Non-Veg Thali, which isn't on the menu, but the waitress helpfully let us know about. It's very customizable - and I went with garlic naan, rice, two tandoori chicken pieces, lamb vindaloo, and shahi paneer - all in a single plate! Pretty much everything was excellent. I'm not even sure where to start. The garlic naan was fantastic. Soft, buttery, with just a slight hint of garlic and lightly charred on the outside. I could honestly eat this by itself and be satisfied. Garlic naan is a staple of what I order whenever eating Indian food, and this might be the best one I've had. The shahi paneer was also great; tomato-forward, creamy, and the paneer was super soft. The lamb vindaloo was a real standout. It was immensely flavorful - not lacking for spice at all - but you don't just taste capsaicin - you taste all the cumin, cardamom, and garam mixed in with the curry. But the lamb itself is the best part of the curry; it's so tender and juicy. The absolute peak, though, was the tandoori chicken. These were two large dark meat pieces, which were cooked to absolute perfection - retaining so much juice and fat. The skin was a perfect deep orange, seasoned with a ton more spices. It's like eating fried chicken but without the breading, but this was arguably even better. The masala fries were the only thing kind of a miss - as they lacked any masala. The price of the thali was only 23 CAD. That's a pretty insane deal for how much food you get - I was unable to finish everything on my plate despite being very hungry. Honestly two people could share this and be satisfied. When you consider how much sharing and new orders for bread, rice, and curries goes on at your typical Indian restaurant, this is crazy good value. Overall, I would classify this as the best Indian food I've had outside of Asia. 9.5/10

The Owners apparently are from Hyderabad (India) & the Tamil Cook was experienced in preparing Hyderabad style dishes. I ordered the Veg Dum biryani & requested it to be made very spicy -Andhra Style. The Biryani came in fair sized copper post with vegetables (hard to see). I had requested No Mushrooms, Paneer, Tofu, Soya (as these do not constitute a proper Hyderabadi Veg Biryani. Salan Gravy was given which was mildly spicy. Raita was given in a small cup & very bland, poorly made & a total flop! Raita's served with Biryani's have onions, tomatoes cucumber pieces & plenty of green cut chillies to give a strong spicy taste. But it seems Raita's made in Vancouver are catered for the N.Indian customers who can't handle any spice except their mediocre stereotyped " garam masala" with the result the raita's are bland, tasteless & some may have a bit of mint powder as seasoning. No Papad also was given. (Usually a salient feature of Biryani's). Due to these omissions & bland tasteless accompaniments, the average quality & taste of the food falls low in Standard! I trust the Owners take note of above & make Spicy Raitas & serve them in large portions & further offer papads to enhance the taste & experience in future. This will truly reflect a proper Biryani Meal.
