I just moved across town, leaving my beloved Akai Hana behind. I had hopes of finding a tolerable substitute... and Iron Chef blew me away! The outside seating is cute and will be in high demand in a few weeks when its not 115 out. The inside is as Covid-ready as it can be with plastic separating the tables and sanitation stations available. But forget all that, lets talk sushi. Fresh, tight rolls, good portion sizes, interesting twists in old favorites... i got a rainbow, a Tokyo (!!!!) and... i forget what the other one was, the Tokyo blew me away. I used to love coming here, not anymore!!!! The service was terrible, when we arrived she asked how many and to sit wherever so we sat outside, waited about 15 minutes. Keep in mind there were probably about 3 tables that are occupied. Still not getting any service so then we decided to move inside, waited even more before anyone came. She gave us water mine was half filled and the other was barely filled and she ran off. We got handed a menu and not the one with sushi on it so I asked for that and she grabbed a used paper menu that had writing on it and it was wet from a cup. We have gone to several places for sushi around the valley and this is the best place around hands down! The sushi and sashimi are so fresh and the presentation is beautiful. In the mood for sushi and this place is pretty good. We ordered a special meal that comes with miso soup, egg rolls, edamame, pickled cucumbers a regular roll and a special roll and beverages included. For the regular roll, we choose a spicy scallop. The special roll was salmon and tuna with a mango sauce on top. The mango sauce is a bit overwhelming. The staff kept bringing plates to the table which was a challenge since the tables are small. At one point, she was carrying so many plates that she asked me for help. The food was good and ample. We didn't finish everything so had a snack for later. Good eats. Back at Iron Chef for some sushi. Got a Groupon and seriously I thought this was another sushi house. My mistake but the food was solid. Service was pleasant and quick. Started with our miso soup full of tofu. It was salty (as expected) but good. Next was the cucumber salad. The flavor was good but the cukes were swimming in all the rice vi. It could have been better if the cukes were julienned rather than sliced. Our sushi came out before the edamame. We got the salmon roll and our special roll was salmon, tuna, & white fish. Tasty and fresh. The way they broke down the bill was odd. Usually they show what you owe but in this case, they had all the prices of the sushi along with the total. It was confusing leading my husband to question what the tip should be. Just the bottom line total would be better folks. Plenty of parking. I've been wanting to try iron chef for a while drop in for some lunch ordeed chicken katsu they give you a lot my in opinion it was really crispy but the chicken was slimy not very good I only half of it but do a all you can eat sushi which sounded pretty good I like their options for it I might have to come back and try that and the server said that's the same sushi that use in there regular but not going cheap on it at least I think that's worth a try chicken katsu definitely want to skip that definitely going to go back to try the all you can eat sushi for 30 bucks if it good you can't beat that read more

We came during lunch and was surprised at their extensive menu of Chinese and Japanese items. The restaurant is small and welcoming. We sat close to the back of the restaurant and was given a menu with lunch special items and a paper with sushi items - tons of different sushi items at 40% off. We decided to order the Sunshine roll, Phoenix roll and Tempura Shrimp roll and everything was fresh and tasty. Our server was really friendly and our bill came to around $25- pretty inexpensive compared to other sushi spots. Overall, we liked the sushi, the service, the restaurant and the prices so we will be back. They are also open during the holidays too - even on Christmas! read more

Delicious sushi in this land locked state! The staff is so welcoming. If you go more than once they'll actually recognize you too! Even though this is a small business they are fast with their service. Every roll is on special so there is an automatic discount applied. I haven't been here in awhile ever since we have been going to Jasmine Tokyo but my friend and I were in the neighborhood so we stopped in for lunch. Happy to write that cozy, friendly feel is still there and the hour and a half we were there for lunch there was a lot of foot traffic of people coming and going for lunch. They still have their Chinese menu, 40-50% off different rolls and all you can eat sushi for $24.95. Still a great neighborhood spot and great for a quick lunch. Of course . . . the only sushi place my son will ask for by name is Jasmine Tokyo . . . but I still like this place! read more

Went here on a late night whim craving AYCE sushi. It was a weeknight so not too busy. I've been here before when it was crazy busy and had to sit outside in the way too hot summer of Phoenix. Sushi doesn't sit well in those conditions. Inside, it was nice and quiet. Service was great. AYCE priced a bit high but given that they include Sashimi, I think it's reasonable. They limit you to 12 pieces of sashimi so if you are a fan and want your money's worth, start with that. Nigiri was also good. Quality of the fish and thickness of the sashimi was on point. Nothing fishy or smelly. I also got a Dynamite roll as I'm a sucker for the baked scallops in mayo. The roll underneath was quite heavy and unfortunately took up a lot of stomach space, so I'd go with someone and share it if you can. Finished with dessert- green tea ice cream. I'm expecting a tiny scoop of ice cream and they come up with like 3 gigantic scoops. It was amazing but struggled to fit it all in. I think I calculated the price of my meal to be over $60, so I think I ate my money's worth. Would definitely go again. read more

While waiting in line, the staff cut in front of m several times to receive, put away menus or grab pencils from that area without as much as an excuse me. Then some guy came behind me with a cart came behind me, bumped me with it and insisted on leaving it right next to where I was standing. This place is my second favorite sushi spot. The sushi is always fresh and most of the rolls are pretty delicious. I really like the yummy yummy roll and the rainbow roll. The ice tea is pretty refreshing and tasty too. The service is pretty spot on. We go here often and rarely do we have bad service. One of the guys that works there knows us and if I go with just my son, he asks where my husband is and if I go with my husband he will always ask where my son is. This is my go to All You Can Eat sushi place. I've been here three times, and I won't go anywhere else if I'm craving sushi on a budget. The price is about $31 per person, and it includes soda and dessert. The first time we came here we were iffy about it because many AYCE sushi restaurants tend to have serve very thin, subpar quality fish and pack nigiris with a lot of rice, but this place isn't one of them. You can also order sashimi, but there is a limit to how much you can order per person but it's a sufficient amount. Besides the usual sashimi and nigiri, I like to order their spicy tuna/salmon hand rolls, and Las Vegas roll. So good. I will definitely be back as long as they stay this way. read more
