Excellent food and service. We would recommend bringing your own wine and paying a corkage fee because their wine cost per bottle is $38-$40 and is fairly mediocre. Certainly not top brand wine with a few exceptions but wonderful food and the cost for sushi rolls averages $13-$15 versus what we normally see is 18 and $20 per roll. The dining area was clean and nicely organized with a nice bar and sushi bar. Brittany was our server, she was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Regarding our orders, the sashimi was fresh and the Tempura was very good, and the Dragon Roll was delicious. Plenty of free parking and access is excellent. When someone mentions Sushi Ko, I get nostalgic. This used to be one of the main sushi places my friends and I would go to, back when we were still in middle school and high school and it's still here over fifteen years later. Someone recently suggested going there for lunch and I said, why not? After looking over the lunch menu, we ordered pan fried gyoza to share, an order of Sushi set B, nabeyaki udon, and tempura udon. The gyoza, a classic one can't go wrong with, was cooked to perfection; crispy on one side. The nigiri part of sushi set B was okay. The fish was of average quality. Unfortunately, neither of us were fans of their California roll. Now for their udon, the noodles themselves had a nice texture, bounce, and chew to them. However, the broth of both of our soups were overly salty for our liking. Overall, the nostalgia was nice but there wasn't anything outstanding about our meal that would make me go out of my way to return any time soon. Not much has changed about this place ambiance wise. The waitress was super helpful and sweet and I could tell she enjoyed making sure people had a good experience. The food was incredible! I was there for a meeting so the food was ordered for me. Worst Sushi I've ever had. Made two lunch orders on 1/22/26 for $177 and the next one was for $34. The dragon rolls looked nothing like they should have. The eel on top was like rubber. I thought I was chewing on a giant rubber band. The spicy scallop Nigiri / hand roll had no resemblance of scallops. It was like mush. Ordered two pieces of yellowtail Nigiri and it tasted old and fishy. What a disappointment. I will not be returning to Sushi Ko. read more

We've been going here for years. There have been some staffing changes lately, which is common, but the amount of change in food quality is shocking. The gyoza which has always been our go to starter is either no longer made in house, or has been swapped out with a much lower quality product. :( we've noticed a drop in the fish quality also , which is what good sushi is all about. We'll give it one more try , but after the last 2 visits, our hopes aren't held that high. read more

The chefs are masters and make the experience even more enjoyable when seated at the bar. Their skill is as great as their friendliness. Onto the reason for the low star part: While going there for lunch yesterday with my friend, her 1 year old and my newborn, a cockroach climbed from our booth and onto my child's cart seat that was on my side in the booth... luckily I was holding my son but we all jumped up from the table. They took my car seat and shook the roach into the trash. There was no real recognition of what just happened and no apology. While the food is really good and price was great I don't think I can go back there again... the roach was 1.5 to 2 inches long First time for everything I guess. read more

On this particular time, I came here for dinner and had tempura and sashimi dinner. The meal comes with miso soup and cucumber sunomono salad. They put generous amount of tofu, I like miso soup as they helps me feel relaxed. Tempura was cooked perfectly. It always did whenever I had tempura here. Perhaps they still have the same chef in the back? Sashimi was good too. They have nabe (hot pot) on the menu, something they always had from the beginning. When it gets colder outside, it will be a perfect season to enjoy hot pot and I should come back here to try. read more

It used to be our Go-To for Sushi, and close to home was a big plus .. but now they seem to want to use the old reputation instead of performing up to or near par and gain their own. it seems they've changed owners and the staff as well. Low grade quality sushi and extremely overpriced. This is my first and last visit. If you are looking for an authentic tasting sushi restaurant, do not bother coming here. I ordered the dragon roll to go and it was $15.75 + tax, so I ended up paying about $20 including tip for 8 pieces of sushi. The tempura wasn't that crispy and the roll in general didn't taste like anything! The most flavorful thing in the roll was the unagi sauce and it only stood out because it was too sweet. Sauces are supposed to complement, not overpower the dish. I usually order unagi sauce on the side and I'm so glad I forgot because it would have just thrown it away. I'm rating this 2/5 stars because the service was quick and the cashier/hostess was very nice. Plus the roll wasn't extremely horrible but for the price, I definitely expected a bit more. read more

Very disappointed considering they had a reasonable rating. Place was clean and were not that busy. We ordered appetizers, which didn't come until we were almost done with our meal. The 2 women that were going back and forth seem a bit lost and unsure of our order. Salad dressing was just a glob of who knows what. Good thing our Las Vegas Roll and Katsu Dinner were tasty. You would think they would of comped us for the late appetizer, but to no avail, they even charged us for the spicy mayo, a simple condiment. I would not recommend this place. Yes, hidden. This petite Japanese restaurant (that also has some great Korean dishes) sits out of sight, but it is worth searching for. We were excited to find another sushi restaurant in the area... this one has more appealing noodle, rice, and meat dishes that appeal to the kids. They even have Shabu Shabu!! A good number of sake choices are available, but I haven't seen a happy hour offered at all. One of our favorite locations will do $1 sake on a happy hour, so maybe just a suggestion for something to add in the future? This was my parents favorite sushi restaurant so I decided to take my mom back for a special treat. We arrived just as they opened and were seated right away but after that things went down hill. The server/hostess was distracted and actually walked away from us as we were ordering to seat another customer! Then our food came out at different times. In fact my mom finished her food by the time I got mine and I was finished when our third guest received his food. This is inexcusable! When asked about the problem we were told online orders caused the issue. Again, inexcusable! The order was taken and should have received the same care assembling it as the online order. Surely they didn't have to come back three times to get their three meals! My mom enjoyed her meal, mine was gross, and the third meal was good but they served his soup and soba noodles together (and after we were finished) so half was cold.
