We had bottomless brunch for Mother's Day 5/9/26 PROS- A good amount of food & variety of shared plates for the table. Great music with live dj. Plenty of seating including an enclosed patio. Bottomless drinks were replenished quickly. Food was pretty decent overall. Eric brought out a complimentary desert for my mom. CONS- There's no valet service on the weekend, parking is limited. I asked if I can bring a small cake and was told they can't hold it in the kitchen only behind the host stand. You only get one flavor of the bottomless margaritas you can't switch flavors. The bathroom stalls have frosted doors with only about 85% privacy, check out my pic for reference. We loved everything but the pomegranate guacamole needed some salt. The Açaí was liquidity. I ordered Ribeye tacos. When I received my order I couldn't believe they would sell that as an entree and not an appetizer ! The corn tortilla was so small and on top was a layer of ribeye meat. Topped with pickled onion. That's all ! It came with two small tacos. Small enough to fit in a woman's palm. Crazy. There was no option for rice or beans. The sauce itself was not very good and overall I left hungry. I do not recommend this as your entree and is not really even good for sharing as an appetizer. The street corn here was delicious. We had a taco trio (it was mediocre ). The edamame is well flavored with a little bit of spice and we had a sushi roll. The Margarita was pretty tasty. She offered us "SAMPLES" of every starter--when you hear the word "sample" you think smaller portions. We said--sure let's do it. Well... We both don't like to waste food so we did our best to not leave too much over and we had to tap out missing a few plates of starters and desserts. We did at least take bites of our entrees but had so much regret trying to keep up with the starters. Best starter for the fiancé was the sumo rangoons and for me it was the pancake street tacos. I'm gonna start with the pro tip for Sumomaya: when you enter, the hostess station is right in front of you. The bathroom is to the left of the hostess station. We had a dinner reservation at Sumomaya and were seated at the first booth on the right, in the main restaurant space. Great corner view of the entire restaurant, which I took a lovely tour of while looking for the bathroom. Its not obvious that it's back towards the entrance. Despite this being a QR Code menu restaurant (I am not a slave to my phone, I detest this), we had fantastic service and the food was good. Happiest Ending roll was meh, guacamole and round chips were ok, but the surprise hit was the okonomiyaki style peppers. The Mexican street corn off the cob was also quite good. The service was top notch. Thoughtful, observant, and food was brought out quickly. There was a live DJ Saturday night curating vibes. Just went to SumoMaya for a late night bite with a friend and it was such a cool spot. For context, we went on a Tuesday night at 8:30pm and there was hardly anyone here which is wild because I've come here on a Saturday morning and it was jam packed from front to back. We were day immediately and our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. We ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and a the Korean Beef Tacos. Both played were packed with flavors and were so fresh. I just don't understand the hype around this place. I've been here multiple times for brunch and dinner and it's just not my thing. I've tried almost everything on their brunch menu and I have never been able to find something I like. Yes, I eat it but never finish the dish because the combinations are just weird in my opinion. Part of a large group and was not expecting how high quality the experience was seated quickly, had great, attentive service and all of the appetizers were perfectly cooked and flavorful but the real treat was my choice for entree. This is one of the best places in town for bottomless brunch. For $45, your group gets unlimited appetizers and unlimited desserts and one entrée per person. For an additional $35, each person can opt in for bottomless drinks (once you pick one, you can't switch to another, but each person can pick their desired drink - for example, only mimosas or only bloody Mary's, etc.). They do give you a time limit, but it's more than enough time to get your fill. While I'm not a huge fan of the food, I do enjoy their pomegranate guacamole, sumo rangoons, and liquid cheesecake. Which includes a series of small plates & items that are unlimited, with a choice of an entree-- unlimited shared plates and desserts plus one entree per guest for $45. This amount does not include any drinks and they do have additional items for a charge so the brunch price can rack up pretty quickly if you add to the base $45. I opted for the Wagyu steak and eggs. And although this was tasty, it was a fairly small portion of meat. My other friend had the enchiladas suizas and we shared our food. This was pretty good. From the small plates I liked BOURBON TOFFEE PLANTAINS, POMEGRANATE GUACAMOLE (not yelling lol, just copied & pasted), gauc was very good, Sumo Rangoons & mini churros. I didn't notice at the time but the bottomless plates also included "chef's assorted sushi rolls". I would have tried if I saw that. Note that all people at the table have to do the bottomless brunch and they do not allow for any food to be taken as leftovers. Glad I went to celebrate with my friend and her family, however due to costs with cocktails and brunch, it's definitely something I wouldn't do just anytime for breakfast. While visiting Scottsdale, my friends recommended this spot for brunch and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was so fun, and their bottomless brunch option instantly sold us. We all went for the bottomless food + bottomless drinks, and there was more than enough for all four of us to sample everything. The vibes were great thanks to the DJ, and the food was honestly so much better than your typical "bottomless brunch" expectations. Every dish tasted freshly made and had its own unique twist. Plus, each plate came out beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is gorgeous inside, too. Our server was amazing. Super attentive, kept our drinks full, and made sure our table (which was packed with food) had everything we needed. My partner and I recently tried SumoMaya for the first time and decided to go all in with their brunch deal: "unlimited shared plates and desserts plus one entrée per guest for $45." With 13 shared plates and 15 entrée options, it made for such a fun, interactive dining experience that's perfect for food lovers who like to sample a bit of everything! We ended up trying all 13 shared plates, and it was a great way to get a full feel for the menu. My favorite part of the meal, though, wasn't even the food, it was the Green Magic Mojito Cocktail, which was hands down one of the best cocktails I've had all year. Refreshing, slightly creamy, and perfectly balanced, I loved it so much I ordered a second! The atmosphere is another huge highlight. The interior is absolutely stunning: vibrant, unique, and full of life. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, too, from the plating to the unique serving vessels. As for the food, my partner's favorite dishes were the edamame hummus shared plate and the Vampiros entrée, while I especially loved the egg roll and pancake taco, both flavorful and well executed. This brunch is ideal if you come hungry, as you'll definitely leave full and satisfied. That said, there were a few misses. Some items came out a bit cold, especially my Korean spiced fried chicken sandwich and the churros were unfortunately hard and cold. I've been here three times and really tried to give this place a fair chance--even though I don't live in Arizona. Each time I visited, I hoped for a better experience, but after three tries, I don't think I'll be coming back or recommending it, unfortunately. The first time was a few years ago when I came with a large party. I told them I wanted to pay for everything, so I asked what the total was after we ordered. They told me it was around $300, which I was fine with--but when I went to pay, it was literally double that. I still don't understand how the number could be so far off. I probably wouldn't have told everyone I was going to pay if I had known it would be double what the waiter told me. We also ordered the yakisoba for the table, and it tasted extremely burnt--no one could eat it. The second time I came, they never brought out one of our appetizers. It was also impossible to get ahold of anyone, and everyone's food came out at very different times. The third time, the staff was just rude. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, but we were told I had booked a high-top (which I didn't realize). We were then moved to the bar since it was more comfortable, but they insisted the restaurant was completely booked and were very rude about it. After being there for an hour and leaving, half the tables were still open, so we easily could have had a dining table. That same night, I was ordering with my mom, and she clearly told them she doesn't like anything spicy. The waiter suggested mushroom tacos that sounded delicious, so we ordered them--but they came with jalapeños. The Pad Thai was delicious but I would say the sushi wasn't great. While the aesthetics are gorgeous and they have great cocktails (and I do think most of the food itself is delicious), it's just not worth it when we've had a frustrating experience with the staff every single time. I came to SumoMaya on a Bachelorette trip. When in Scottsdale... am I right? It's definitely more of a vibey spot, with dim lighting and fun decor. They were able to accommodate our 15+ person group, but we did have to hit a minimum spend. The drinks were hit or miss, so I'd stick to the classics. We had a set menu, so I didn't get to order the food I probably would have otherwise, but I really enjoyed the Rainbow Ceviche. Most of the other dishes I tried were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. This place is so beautiful. I hadn't been back in a few years and it is as pretty as ever. Music is a bit loud but energy is great among guests. Lots of beautiful at the bar and in the dining room. Service was good, professional. I had the Thai noodle salad. I found it initially a tad bland but once I added salt, pepper and lime juice it was delish! Loved the generous chunks of avocado and what I think was pine nuts. The tomatoes were a tad soft for my taste. Would have liked firmer but perhaps personal taste. Prices are also a bit high across the board but not unexpected. I'd still give it a 5 star for all around good choice. read more

There was 2 of us and we got sat at a high top that was in the corner of the restaurant. It was a tight area and I didn't like that we were just stuck facing the corner of the glass. You get to have limitless appetizers and one entree is included. The food was really good. My friends and I decided to do a brunch special for $45 each and everyone got one entrée and then we had unlimited shared apps and then everyone had one dessert. Unfortunately my French toast came out raw so I had to send it back and they gave me a new one but most of the girls were done with their meal by the time I got mine. I was not comped or offered to be comped in any way. The ambience at the restaurant is fantastic with a really awesome modern look and a giant beautiful tree in the middle of the restaurant. I had a single mimosa for $12 but the girls all ordered unlimited mimosas for $35 a person. The service was OK however, the waitress skipped me and another girl for drinks a couple of times so everyone had their drinks at the table before we even ordered ours. Parking here was extremely limited so try to drive together. Overall, the ambiance was cool and the brunch special was a really unique and cool way to do it but I think the overall experience was just okay. It's definitely more of a nicer restaurant than a casual one. There's also convenient parking right out in front. The food - spectacular. I seriously have no complaints. It's a fusion of Mexican and Asian foods which I've never experienced before. Their traditional guacamole, tuna tropical ceviche, and al pastor pad Thai was to-die for. I can't decide if the tune ceviche or pad Thai were my favorite. Their Maya roll was very refreshing as well, a great sushi roll. The food is delicious! I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised that the flavors of each dish were unique and pleasing.
