The potatoes had chopped onion and some cheese that were delicious. Service was quick but there was some miscommunication in our orders. My friend didn't get the right protein for her bowl and another friend had her eggs the wrong way she wanted. She asked the waitress if there was eggs inside the breakfast taco but she said no. We were planning to have breakfast in a nearby, very popular place, but after hearing the queue was closer to 2 hours, we changed our plan and entered Diego Pops without any waiting time. What a great surprise it provided, and made us wanting to come back hete soon again. Very nice ambience with indoor and (mist) patio areas, and the most courteous and professional service. Food was tasty, tex mex style, and there were nice drinks too. Location is fabulous although it might be slightly challenging to find parking slot nearby. Interesting enough this is the second Mexican food restaurant I went to in one week. The shrimp were little and overcooked in my bowl. The six different sauces were good kind of reminds me of Cava with all the sauces you can choose at the end. I have tried Diego Pops a few times before and I didn't really care for it. But the past two times that we have visited have been 10/10 experiences. I think it's because of the time we visited in the past. In the past, we have gone in the evening hours and it was way too packed and because of that, the quality tends to follow the chaos of the guests. Regardless, I'm giving them a 10/10 rating because their tacos are incredible! Their drinks are great and the service ESPECIALLY when you sit at the bar is grade A! The quesadilla was incredible and the chips and salsa were amazing. They also have an assortment of sauces that are definitely worth trying. Everything we sampled there was packed with flavor. Came on a Friday night with a party of 7. It was also the first night of Canal Convergence, so the crowds were bigger in the entire area. Despite this, only had to wait about 20-30 mins for a table. Imagine how much more business can be achieved by seating folks faster? They are not alone in this practice, but when sitting waiting for 20 minutes to get a table whilst seeing empty tables inside and out going empty the whole time, is not a good practice. But the bowl was very good! Great flavors, shrimp was cooked nicely, and the ingredients were all so cohesive. They also have a sauce caddy placed on each table, which was fun. I tried all of them and thought each one was delicious. I added a few different ones to my bowl because I always like extra sauce. The atmosphere at Diego Pops is also something to write home about.
