Julio's is one of the best deals in Old Town. Food is always good, fast, and consistent. There are a lot of people who work in Old Town and you can always see them eating before their shifts in the night clubs. Ordered the green chile burrito enchilada style. Pork was tender and green chile was super flavorful. The rice needs a little moisture as it feels a little dry. Wife ordered the carne asada chimichanga. Food very flavorful and we added more hot sals. Chips and salsa comes with every meal. Great place to stop by and get delicious food fast.

Kinda low end, with relatively inexpensive, relatively flavorless food and a vaguely icky room and patio that didn't really do much for me. Inexpensive drinks and great HH pricing are a plus. The service was just lovely, though: our counterwoman was a charming delight. I don't want to discourage anyone from coming: Julios, Too may be just what you want. Don't hope for a knock-you-down/revelatory foodie experience, though. It's a hole-in-the-wall, but it's not THAT hole-in-the-wall that you sometimes dream about.

I've been coming here for years. Small parking lot and 1 handicap parking space. Cute patio and small indoor seating. This is counter service. Staff is always kind and helpful. I have tried most items all food. Great lunch specials. Today I got the chicken mini chimis. This is a off menu item. It comes with delicious dip of cream cheese with green chilis. Plus they give you fresh chip and salsa They will give extra if you ask. I get 2 meals out of it. $13.51 with tax. Good value.

The staff was extremely friendly. You order at the bar then find your seat. I ordered the enchiladas, tasty! The salsa for the chips is pretty spicy so be careful. It's a cool diner vibe inside, very vibrant colors.

Absolutely fantastic Mexican food. Truly authentic and such a great value. My wife and I were in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area visiting our daughter for the weekend. She recommended we go here. Did not disappoint!!

Been awhile, but stopped here for a $13 lunch special. I tried the pollo ranchero which was oddly like a Mexican chicken parmesan. The sauce wasn't too bad and the cutlets were easy to cut with a a plastic knife and fork. The bad things were a giant bucket of not si fresh chips sitting on the counter and the rice was not good at all. Still no white meat unless you order what got or fajitas.

I stopped by Julio's Too for lunch and was authentic Mexican food! They have some great lunch specials that are definitely worth checking out. I ordered the chili relleno and my friend got the two crispy chicken tacos. We both enjoyed our food! We also had the pomegranate and watermelon margaritas which were good! What really stood out to me was the rice--it was SO good! Perfectly seasoned with peas and carrots. It was a great compliment to the meal. The service was friendly and quick, and the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes.

Great Phoenix staple taco shop. Don't pass on this place. Their salsa's amazing. They're margaritas are great and they're chicken tacos and Pollo Fundido are the best in town

Coming here was a real treat for me. My girlfriend in high school and I ate at Julio's former full-service restaurant on Indian School Road all the time back in the day (called Julio G's). It was our favorite place to eat at. Julio G's opened in the late 80's and was pretty popular back then. This location is their second restaurant down the street and is a quick-serve version of Julio G's (hence the name Julio's Too). The full-service restaurant eventually closed and I haven't been back since. I was driving down Camelback Rd and was surprised to see that this take-out location was still open. I thought for the longest time that all of the Julio's locations had closed up. Julio's Too is still mostly take-out, but does has a small area with tables for dining in. Julio's Too serves traditional Mexican food and does it in large portions. I love Mexican food that blends all together. I grabbed some food to-go and enjoyed my stroll down memory lane. Everything was wonderful and I'm looking forward to a return visit next time I'm in Scottsdale.

Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. There's literally something for everyone, and definitely check out the Frybread Lounge for some great Native American fusion cuisine Chee

The restaurant is trendy, stylish, and undeniably cute. I especially got a kick out of the little lamps on the tables that turn red when you want a tableside martini. We aren't drinkers, but I thought it was a fun and clever touch. One thing that surprised me right away was that bread wasn't included. Instead, we were served some crunchy snacks to munch on. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I'd much rather have warm bread. It feels simpler, tastier, and more welcoming. For appetizers, we ordered the burrata and calamari. Both were tasty, but the peppers in the calamari packed a serious punch. I wish there had been a little warning about the spice level because it definitely caught me off guard. Then again, I suppose anything called "Sexy Roman" has to bring a little heat. For dinner, we shared the chicken parm and the lobster pasta. The chicken parm was decent, though I found the chicken a bit tough. The lobster pasta was flavorful and well prepared, but once again, quite spicy. At least that time we knew what we were getting into. Service was fine, but not exceptional. I was inhaling water to cool down from all the spice and had to ask for refills multiple times, which felt like an easy thing to stay ahead of. In the end, there wasn't anything terrible about the experience. The food was good, the atmosphere was fun, and the concept is unique. But between the high prices, smaller portions, and service that didn't quite match the upscale vibe, I don't think we'll be rushing back.

We sat outside in the evening shade for a nice gathering. We shared the Cuban Caesar salad with romaine, manchego cheese, sliced pears, toasted pepitas, masa croutons, avocado, fried plantain chips and Aji amarillo Caesar. The salad was crisp, well dressed and delicious with the fried / curled plantain chips. The shrimp cerviche with fried plantains, blue corn tortilla chips, lime, cilantro and cucumber pico de gallo was ok but not remarkable. Our final selection was the Gaucho spiced skirt steak with chimichurri, and masa potato cakes. The steak was overcooked, not medium rare, bland taste and tough. The potato cake was tasteless. Overall, the ambience and service was good, however, the food lacks any hint of Cuban flare except for the fried plantains. When I think of Cuban food, I salivate for the unique taste profiles with a hint of sweetness from the fruits. At The canal Club, I found it non-existing. The name, setting, and environment is good but the kitchen needs to let in on the theme being Cuban.

I've been here twice, but I have very little complaints with the food. My favorites are the chicken skewers which are so tender and juicy and I love the lentil rice that comes with it. The shareable hummusiya platter is really fun. I usually like to get one hummus, the baba ghanoush and the pistachio labneh if they have it. The lobster salad is also really refreshing and delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and they let us bring in a cake and were so on top of bringing us extra cutlery and dishes and even keeping the box for us in case we had leftovers. Lowlights: It's definitely a spendier meal than usual - I would come for celebrations and not just a casual dinner. I think the least worth it items are the patatas bravas because you only get six, the chicken schnitzel because it's a very small portion, the shashuka was overwhelmingly salty. Sadly, our oysters did have sand and some shell pieces in them.
