Where are you going to eat after a Bakersfield Blaze game which seems to have no end? It was 11:45 and after a loss, it was time to find a 24/7 chain which was open. IHOP was the perfect idea! We went to this IHOP which was clean and the service was great. The menu has been re-done since my last IHOP trip (long, long time), and I was impressed with the options. I went Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and between us we had chicken fired steak and a breakast. Everyone enjoys their food and the coffee pot was never empty. Given the other choices, Denny's, Coco's, Run for the bathroom, etc, this IHOP's is a great late night call! read more

I have been here several times, the place seems to generate plenty of money, the food is good, service is ok. But man, I hop the fix those bathrooms soon. : ) Went to wash my hands before my meal and felt like I came out a little dirtier. read more

I'm not sure why all the bad reviews. We have always had decent service and the food is typical for the IHOP chain. They says let me order the eggs Benedict off menu (typical for IHOP), my kids love the food, the adults are always pleased. I have even eaten a healthy chicken sandwich and it was very good for a chain restaurant like this. My only complaint is that there is a long wait and it's super super busy during prime time. But so is Denny's across the street and Zingo's up a couple blocks. When you want breakfast prime time in this area. You have to wait, period. I have never had a rude server and we have been here 6 or 7 times. If there are any issues they are always addressed quickly with no attitude. Typical IHOP! read more

I came here for a birthday breakfast with my parents. I think it took us longer to get seated than it did for us to eat. The woman at the front was playing hostess and cashier at the same time. The thing that annoyed me is that she kept ringing people up that would line up AFTER people entered to be seated. At the rate people were entering (there were a good 15 people waiting to be seated), she would have been better off switching every so often between ringing people up and seating people. Or there could be two people at the front, one for each responsibility. Finally someone else came up to seat us just as the hostess/cashier was relieved of the cash register. Literaly waited 45 minutes to only be told they lost our ticket. Waitress never came during that wholetime. Finally went and grabbed the manager and asked when our food was coming out. This is qhem we learned our ticket was "lost". Asked for coffee, 20 more minutes went by. Went and asked the manager for coffee. Then the waitress came bAck and re took.our order. Another 10 minutes so i went to the kitchen and asked for coffee. They finally brought it out. After an hour and a half our food arrived and we never once got our refills on any drinks other then coffee. Crappy servicw by "taetae" is what she was reffered to as. Never once apologized. We will never go back to this spot. Our meal was comped but that still doesmt make up for the lousy service. read more

Love this place! They have the best pancakes and right now they have some blackberry peach cobbler pancakes with icecream! Can't get enough of this place. What's surprises me most is dinner is really good for a breakfast place. read more

Not very good. More than half the tables were dirty when we arrived and even more when we left. Employees doing much of nothing. An ex-employee when on a rant f-ing the manager. BTW our grandkids were with us. One asked, " Why was he using bad language?" I told him that he wasn't raised properly. The food was mediocre at best. read more

Original restaurant plan was closed, went here for a change. Food was overly sweet. Wrong coco served, i am willing to try it out, food was NOT pleasant. After meal an adult roach ran across window seal by syurp south to pop out window. I tried to kill it with table pop up menu, but too quick. Manager said exterminator was recently there, but must follow up and apply added measures such as self treatment. Not a great 41st b-day dinner. We are hole in the wall kindA family, but bugs shouldn't be by guest locations as they're afraid of us. Was here for a breakfast for 3 and were seated quickly. We were told we were going to be served soon and saw waitress after waitress pass by our table helping the tables all around us. Made multiple attempts to call them over and were ignored. I figured it was maybe because they were busy? Even with only a few people there. Worst Service Ever. Stopped in for a late night bite tonight and I'm sorry to say that the service lacked friendliness and efficiency. It was busy and it was only 2 of us. Coffee & pancakes were ordered. The food was brought our rather quickly but when we asked for syrup to be warned the waitress forgot to bring it back to our table. My daughter and I drove from Los Angles to Fresno to pick up my goddaughter, who had been in a terrible crash with her Dad. Her mom stayed in the hospital and I drove her back home with a broken foot. After such a long horrible day, we wanted comfort food last night so we chose IHOP, which, quite frankly, I have not been to in decades. The girls had breakfast, and I had the turkey dinner. The meal was excellent. But, what made the dinner the best part of the experience was Robin, the server. Robin was kind, engaging, attentive, informed us about specials with the waffle, an unexpected delight. There were not a lot of customers in the room, but Robin treated each and everyone with kindness, like she knew them. So often good people are working in little restaurants like this on a Saturday night and go un-noticed. We were lucky Robin took care of us last night. read more

The food was really good. That's why I gave you a star. The bathrooms were dirty. The whole place smelled like dirty wet carpet, and air freshener. The waitress was nice, but we had to ask for things more than once. If it had been busy I would totally understand. There was only 2 other tables. Our table we sat at was taped up. exceptional service , food was hot, don't care for atmosphere the booths are open almost cafeteria style kind of annoying because the guy on the other side seemed to be in our conversation. Building is old needs a face lift bathrooms old had smell probably just cause the building is older because it was visiblely clean. hi bakersfield,ca. here's a real bad review from the rose dale ihop.. well it's been going on for quite awhile now.. me the wife have been going there maybe once month, from 2021-till 1-14-23...when got there only few people eating in restaurant. it was not busy either,,, so we get a booth and nobody comes to our table till at least close to 15 minutes finally a waitress named monica b comes to our table and says are you ready to order,,, i ask her why it took so long she said oh- i was doing some cleaning in the restaurant.... really when we walk in i noticed her and another employee brent talking and standing around...anyway why would you be cleaning when you should be watching for people as they get a table...that should be a dishwasher or busboy job for cleaning..... so when order arrived to table my eggs looked like they were cooked on a dirty grill or pan and cold and my 2 sausges look like they were cook a hour before i got them and cold....wifes her french toast were luke warm.... my hash browns luke warm also...the only thing was hot that night was the the cofee in the silver container....that's sad.... am not done yet.. now is been going on for awhile now we don't know why this keeps going on..when is management is going do something i contacted manger on duty sunday....finally i was contacted by the general manager he called me back sunday 1-15-23 . and i told him what happened saturday night...and told him is not the first time all this stuff went on in resturant..so he said he was sorry about everything..i told him it's his employees that did this not him. and i told the general manager we are not coming back.... and said to me he will take of it....and if can give no stars....ps to management you need to check your videos of what goes on in your restarant/employees read more

Friend and I had breakfast there 3/7/10. Not only was our breakfast perfect our waitress was one of the best ever. Blueberry pancakes, sausage and perfectly cooked eggs were wonderful not to mention the best hash browns I had had in a long time. I should have heeded the other reviews about poor service. I usually take those with a grain of salt, but today they were dead on. Arrived at 10:15am or so, put on wait list to be seated and got seated in about 15 minutes. So that was ok. However, it took seven minutes for the waitress to come over and take our order. That was only because the hostess noticed we hadn't even gotten drinks yet and graciously got them for us. (We were seated near the front.) She told us she yelled at the server for ignoring us. The waitress came and took our order at about 10:40 after apologizing for focusing on another table. We only saw her once after that when she verified we got the large orange juice/apple juice instead of kids size. We never got our food. I had to be somewhere by noon so I got up at 11:15 because the food hadn't come. Waited at the cashier desk for five minutes and it STILL didn't come. Table got bussed already when I finally got to tell the cashier I just wanted to pay for my drinks and leave. A lady I presume was a manager was called up to the desk. When I told her the situation, she was apologetic and said we didn't have to pay for anything. Yes it was a Sunday, yes they were busy, but I think 40 minutes plus for pancakes and eggs is way too long to wait. I'll be going back to the IHOP on Rosedale exclusively. read more

Service was terrible. As we waited for our table Sat morning we stood by the counter where people paid and a customer was leaving. The cashier asked about their dining experience and the lady commented about the service was horrible and the server never checked on them and offered more coffee. They left and their waitress came up to gossip about other employees in front of us. The cashier told her and she shrugged it off left and returned a few minutes later to gossip about other employees not working and blaming everyone else about why her tips sucked. I don't understand why anyone would would give IHOP 1 star and expect anything more. It's IHOP. They make breakfast and breakfast is fast and easy. We got our food hot and fast. The food was pretty typical for IHOP so i'm not complaining. I'm not paying for a four course meal at a five star restaurant. Waitress was nice and friendly. Took care of us. Ate here after we stayed the night for a graduation in June. The service was very slow... In fact, had to remind the server that we were there, even though she passed us several times. Angie is the absolute worst server ever. She not only took 20min to take our order,but when she brought our order out my mother's lettuce was wilted and completely brown. She acted as if it was bothersome to bring a side of lettuce out.
