Stopped by one evening and it was so good! The food was made within 10 minutes and everything was fresh and hot. I stopped by after visiting the library about a block away. I purchased a Chicken Fried Rice lunch box special to go. It included the entree, steamed rice, pop and 1 egg roll. I got the sweet and sour shrimp and really appreciated that they put the fried shrimp in a sealed container with part of the plastic cut out so they wouldn't get mushy. Hello??? One of the best shrimp and broccoli you will ever taste is from mom in the kitchen hands. This restaurant is my favorite place to eat whenever I feel for delicious Chinese takeout. Their service is pretty quick too, I've ordered, and had my food delivered and they never keep me waiting for long. This is a take out spot even though I stop in to eat every now and then because just I like my food fresh off the stove. The ambiance is pretty much a mom and pops traditional take out look and feel. The egg rolls were very good. A little mushy inside but tasty and crispy. Pork fried rice was wonderful. Pork lo Mein was very good. Husband liked the pork egg foo young a lot. Portions were huge- husband and I ate it the first night and then we shared with our daughter and son in law the next night and there was plenty for all. Total price was about $45 for a boatload of food. Only issue is that they use a lot of onions which were in large pieces. I called in the order as I was driving and was told it would be about 15 minutes. When I got there a young girl and I assume number one son were at the front counter. The girl seemed kind of shy and remained seated behind the counter with her head down. Number One Son was totally immersed in a tv program. He looked up long enough to tell me it was almost ready and went back to his tv show. It looked like Ma & Pa were in the back cooking dishes to go. I ordered 3 dishes hot and sour soup (way too much corn starch creating a gelatinous blob of soup. Shrimp egg foo young once again way too much corn starch creating a gelatinous gravy. I've been cutting my meat intake so I thought I would try the Mongolian chicken in lieu of the beef. Doesn't Mongolian Beef come with noodles? This Mongolian Chicken didn't have any. The food wasn't very good. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

The chicken wings were great. They were fried and seasoned perfectly. The egg rolls were just okay. The orange chicken was good. Not too breaded and not too sweet. The chicken fried rice was different. It wasn't typical Chinese fried rice. The chicken and onions were diced, and the seasoning was yellow in color and it tasted a little bland. So I just let it go figuring how bad can potstickers be. Well, I found out. Worst potsticker I've ever had. The Noodle wrapper was super thick and rubbery, I couldn't believe it. I even weighed the dough versus the filling - wrappers mostly weighed 2.5 ounces versus 1/2 ounce of filling. And BTW, I feeling looked and tasted a little like canned dog food. I had a very good experience here. The woman who helped me was able to make a vegetarian version of the soups (they usually have chicken broth) and tailor it to my selected ingredients. It was invented on the spot but it was very good! The chicken has a nice hearty flavor, it tastes fresh and not too much salt. Not too much corn starch in the sauces. This place is great! It may be the best pork fried rice that I have ever had! Lots of meat and very flavorful. The sesame chicken and General Tsos chicken are also great. The General Tsos has a slight kick and that really makes the dish. They forgot our eggrolls in our take out order yesterday and we didn't notice until we got home. I called them up and the woman who answered the phone was so apologetic and delivered them to us within 15 minutes! Talk about great customer service! It's a hole-in-the-wall place; blink & you'll miss it along the tiny storefronts along that stretch of Broadway. They were friendly, and the food was tasty. The pot stickers were not the best. I asked for fried, but only one had the golden brown crispiness that you'd expect. The rest were steamed. The egg rolls were perfect. The Ma Pow Tofu was bland; why does every Chinese place over saturate the tofu with too much sauce? The best tofu is firm and sauteed before adding to the gunky brown sauce. The tofu cubes here were a little soggy. A clean and tidy, family-run restaurant serving up delicious Chinese food. read more
