I moved in June and I now have the time to leave a review. This was my first time obtaining the services of a moving company so I was really anxious about it. Courtney was so understanding, patient and reassuring. She addressed my concerns and there were no issues with rescheduling my move. The movers were on time, professional and very polite. They were supposed to be a 4-person team but 1 was unavailable so they discounted the rate. They carefully wrapped everything before loading. I have a delicate mirrored vanity table that had mirrors on the entire front, even on its 13 drawers. Even with all the careful wrapping, 2 mirrored drawers got cracked. All the rest of the furniture from a 3 bedroom home were undamaged. I called Courtney and emailed their Claims Department. Dennis went to my house to assess and to get the mirrored drawers for repair. I got the drawers back after 2 weeks and they were perfectly repaired, good as new. Jalen even helped me put the mirrored drawers back in the vanity table. I am so happy with the service I obtained. All the staff I talked to were very polite and accommodating. Jalen also always answered calls promptly and it was always nice to talk to a person and not a recording. He always answered even when I called too early before business hours at one time. My move started on 10/02/2021 scheduled for 8am started 8:15am. The truck pulled up at the apartment building I was finishing up last minute details. I was scheduled for 8am, 2 guys and a truck however, my search for the right company started before 10/02/2021. First off my move was I was trying to scheduled 2 days before I wanted to move, I left many messages on different moving companies answering machines. I got a call from a 1 800 number and after I explained what I was moving and to where. I then asked which company was I talking with, because I never called a 800 number. The lady on the other end then told me the company's name, which should have been said when she called and I answered. So, she told me that she would call me back after she spoke with the movers to get a quote. I called a 808 number got a reply from a 800 number and then I received a text message not from either but, a 858 number. Explaining the my move quote/ cost would be $380.00 a flat rate. Now, am wondering who thus is and of course its the previous one. Text message? Not calling to give a quote but text message. So, 3 different numbers and a text message...right. So, I'm thinking to many red flags and just stopped texting and made more calls to other moving companies. I got a reply back and and I explained what, when and where. Again, I was told that they would call me back with a quote. I was called about 1 hour later and given a would be higher and highest quote $607.00. Wow!! I was shocked and in awe of the price, I told him in noway that I was going to pay them that much money. I then received a email from the company of the high price movers. The email explained that I would be paying $145.00 for the truck and the rest was from the move. I ignored the email as I had already told them no to the quote. I then called up Honolulu Movers and from the first phone call to the end of my move was "Professionally Managed". I was given quote that was a little high than the first and definitely lower than the second. My quote was for 2 guys and a minimum of 2 hours move from start to finish being to end destination. I received a call from them about 2 hours later with a request if I could change the time of my move from 12 noon to 8am. I asked why, and he explained to me and stated that it was only a request. I understood the request and the amount of respect he put into asking me. I told him I would call the security of the building I was to move into and see if they could honor that request. So, they did and I called the Honolulu movers and said yes to the change of time. He then explained that I would be getting 3 guys for my move and the quote was the same as before. So, the day of my move came, the truck arrived at 8:15am (scheduled at 8am).. I flagged them up as I wax on the 3rd floor and could see the truck and they me. They came up to the apartment and a young male came over an introduced himself as "Cody", I introduced myself and as the introductions was being made I notice 3 other young males already starting to work, taking small boxes first and wrapping the large furniture items. They only interrupted by Cody as he introduced them by name and they all greeted me with eye contact and right back to work. After "Cody" showed the contract to me and read it off and explained that I now have 4 guys and still the quote stayed at the price for 2 guys. I agree that it was the same and signed. They had me moved out of old and into the new place start to finish, wrapped, bundled and handled with care from start to finish 8:15am to 9:03am. They never stopped moving and as to what I seen and witnessed anyone of those young men could have taking the lead. Because, all of them worked without instructions and just did what seems to come with training and knowingly Professional development. I did not mention the other guys names but they know who they are, when I introduced my self as "Tiny" they all said in unison that " You are Not Tiny" and laughed it off. Very professional, pleasant and warm attitudes they all displayed. I would definitely give them more Stars if it were allowed. And, will use them again and recommend them in the near future. Due to unexpected circumstances we had to move out of our old apartment within a week. Found a place on a Sunday, applied on Monday, signed our new lease on Tuesday to move in the next Sunday. Weekends were better for move in the building manager said because they could not guarantee use of the freight elevator on weekdays. With less than a weeks notice, I started searching for moving companies, first through family recommendations then on Yelp. Started to get desperate because several don't provide moving services on Sunday or they were already booked. Then I reached Honolulu Movers through Yelp. After messaging their Yelp their rep Courtney called me. After listening to what we needed help moving - aforementioned heavy dresser, bed, desk, a couple of armchairs, several wooden tables, and large mirrors, Courtney recommended two-men movers at a reasonable hourly rate, 2-hour minimum to arrive at 11am Sunday. Moving day arrived. My husband and I started moving small stuff early that morning and then waited at our old place for the movers to arrive. They called at 10:40am saying they were on their way but didn't arrive until 11:40am. We were worried. But when they finally arrived, THREE guys from Honolulu Movers showed up. They were friendly, professional and efficient - expertly disassembled our bed, wrapped our dresser and desk in protective plastic, carried out all the heavy furniture out and down the stairs into the truck. We followed their moving truck to our new condo. The movers knew all the tricks of our tricky new condo. We were competing with three other tenants (moving in or out) for the freight elevator. Honolulu Movers "staged" all our furniture outside the elevator in two trips to minimize the time waiting for our turn to use the elevator (remember, time is $$$ on an hourly rate!). They moved all our earthly treasures and reassembled our bed into our new home within two hours! And they only charged us for the quoted 2-man movers rate even though three guys showed up!
