Beer good Good good…read morePeople good And the allow dogs. What more can you ask for? Really though, there's a wide selection of beer both local, to micro brewers, to foreign. The food is Korean centric pub food. From fries, to burgers, nachos, pasta, bossam, etc. And the people are all so nice. We always come with our dog and they always bring water for him, and we go enough so they recognize us when we come in. Of course though we stay in the outdoor dining area, which is covered during the colder months. But even then, they turn in heating for us when we are out there while every other patron are dining inside.

The food itself is pretty good. I liked the pasta and the pork belly dish. The fried were ok. I also tried the nachos and really liked the cheese for it's subtle taste however I was not a fan of the rest of it. For the price the portions are pretty small and not filling. Warning it can be pretty loud as I had to yell to talk to my friends. My main con and suggestion for improvement is the tables and chairs. The chairs are really small so it might not be comfortable for most. Also, our table was very wobbly so we moved to another one and that one ended up being wobbly too. I'm hoping they can change them as it will help the comfort of the guests. On a good note, I liked the service! The waitress was nice but I believe there was a busser who was attentive and respectful towards us!

Our server kept checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. The calamari and shrimp ceviche were both delicious - the calamari was well battered and the ceviche was fresh. My entree, chicken baraki, was a large portion (had to take it home) and it was delicious. The drinks looked amazing but we didn't try any this time - definitely on our next visit! The spot is somewhat busy but not super noisy, which I liked. Parking is street parking and it does get busy in this area. Overall, a great spot with cool drinks and good food!

We got the bottomless mimosas. They gave us two glasses and a picture of mimosas. Everything was really good. As an appetizer we ordered the focaccia grilled cheese bites. The vodka sauce dip was so amazing. Honestly, that was hands-down, the best thing. For our main, I ordered the Mediterranean Benedict. They made the Benedict. Perfect, I love the prosciutto with it. It does come on top of a focaccia bread. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the sweet potato fry squares. I'm not crazy about sweet potatoes and I didn't read the menu to see to get something else. Also, the Greek churro was so good with the feta whip. This is definitely a really cute place. Everyone who works there is so kind and polite. It is definitely worth a stop in for brunch.

Sitting at sushi bar, we asked Chef Benny to make whatever he pleased and that we'd simply stop when we were full. We haven't got out as friends in a while, so we all agreed we'd splurge for the night and worry about the bill later. What happened next was extraordinary. Chef Benny served up banger after banger of his favorites. From uni and spicy tuna hand rolls to sashimi and nigiri... we were in sushi heaven. He also kept the banter flowing all night, sharing stories of his own pals and telling us all about his favorite restaurants across Long Island and Queens. What he told us next we couldn't believe.. he said he's in this 60's! He has such a youthful spirit, jolly demeanor, a ton of energy, and franky looks to be in his mid 40's.. I'd never have guessed! We happened to sit next to regulars of his. They were a lovely couple who have followed Chef Benny from restaurant to restaurant over the last 20+ years. That's a testament to not only how great of a chef he is, but also how great of a guy too!

The…read moresigns seem to suggest there's a new addition to the restaurant which features Sushi by Chef Benny. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety offered on the menu and the sushi was really fresh. My Yelp buddy Mike S. and I were both trying this place out for the first time. The menu consisted of classic rolls, a small appetizer section, and a list of signature rolls. Sashimi and Sushi options offered a la carte if you don't want to try the full entree. Or better still, if you have a few favorites and just want to make a custom plate - which is what we opted for. The plan was to try several things and make a full shareable dinner spread. Started with the sesame tuna tataki which was a nice full salad paired with sesame seared tuna, avocado, mandarins and crispy noodles. A sweet dressing provided on the side. It was a very full salad and quite refreshing. And we also had the garlic edamame to start, which looked to be tossed in some chili oil and stir fried garlic. For our dinner, we shared the sashimi entree which came with 15 pieces of sashimi. Then we selected some choice pieces: uni, unagi, scallop sashimi and a classic yellowtail roll. Everything was fresh and enjoyable. Chef Benny cut and plated our order, very presentable. Sadly no sake on the menu to pair with this meal so a draft beer and some Blue Moon was our drink choice. There's a wine list, lots of cocktails and a full menu for the Marco Polo Restaurant which you can order from as well. (Note: the tuna tataki was from that menu). Cross ordering is totally welcomed. Service was good and our waiter was super friendly. He answered questions and offered suggestions on drinks I inquired about. When prompted for a plate change, he did it without hesitation and swapped them out real quick. He checked in on us a few times during our meal and was sure to pace the plates that came out so we were able to enjoy each portion of the dinner. Dessert options were interesting, think s'mores egg rolls, fresh fruit, cheesecake, and cinnamon buns. Cheesecake was plated simply with a drizzle of strawberry syrup and topped with a cherry.

Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

The mushroom was my favorite and loaded with fresh mushrooms. -beef tongue rattan pepper: at first the pepper was not overwhelming but with time it was numbing my tongue which was a bit uncomfortable -sliced beef tendon: delicious -prime beef slices: they weren't that soft and not super well marbled. The bowl that our mushrooms came in was rusted... kind of ruined my whole experience. At least server was super nice and attentive. Wouldn't come back though.
