We ended up getting a couple more rounds of skewers. They have a seemingly cheaper set of skewers (lamb + beef deal), but the quantity of meat was lower - would recommend just getting the normal skewers. First of all you NEED to be outdoors. Don't come to this place if you're trying to eat indoors. Get different skewers and drinks, they're most likely not gonna taste like how theyve been prepared elsewhere. Come with a group of 3-4 people. That's the ideal size to try everything. Came on a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded. It's a block or two away from the main area of Flushing but still very close by to the 7 train (5 min walk). We came with 8 people and had a nice big table to accommodate all of us. Skewers and food came pretty quick after we ordered but definitely count and make sure you know how much because sometimes there would be a skewer or two missing. I preferred the non-spicy because it had a better flavor to me. Probably wouldn't come back since it was kind of expensive and not very filling. Went to Camp Camp for a weekend dinner, and they were very accommodating! We had made a reservation earlier in the week, and had to make last minute adjustments since our party size increased. The restaurant had a very nice ambiance, gives glamping vibes with the design, lights and furniture. We were seated by the edge of the restaurant which offered nice privacy for our large party of 8. We ordered a variety of skewers and shared dishes. Overall, food was generally tasty (3.5/5). I do think the skewers can get pricey especially as it's not a lot of meat per order, and I wasn't really as full compared to some other meals you can get in Flushing. Made a spontaneous decision to come here to watch the Knicks game (spoiler alert - they won!) and I had a great time! It was all booked up and honestly, I was really grateful they let us stay so long. They definitely knew people would stay long because of the game so props to them. I enjoyed the food a lot! We ordered quite a lot of dishes for a party of 5 including: Grilled Eggplant, Grilled Garlic Oysters, Garlic Pea Shoots, Tinfoil Clam Vermicelli Noodles, Tinfoil Corn, Squid Tentacles, Lamb Skewers, Chicken Cartilage, Chicken Gizzard, Quail, Grilled Rice Cakes, Beef Skewers, Pork Belly and Enoki Mushroom, Grilled Garlic Scallops, Bean Curd Skin, and Chive Skewers. The seasoning is a little spicy and really tasty, but it does need something to break up the taste. The sweet & sour vegetables (basically a mixed salad of carrots, potatoes, wood ear mushrooms, cilantro) was the perfect dish for it. Flavors were balanced perfectly, and it was so refreshing! I would skip the grilled scallop and chives. The chives were tasty, but the seasoning sauce on it smelled AWFUL. Would also skip the bone marrow too. A roach crawled onto my body whilst waiting for food. The food arrived we ask for mild if wasn't no big deal. My friend found this place, and was a pleasant surprise for me! Going in the front there was no hint of what was in the back, with a few people hanging at the bar, and as well looked to be waiting on the comfy couches in the spacious room. We checked in, and had a few minutes to wait for a table so got a "tower" of beer at the bar to share. That was cool, although coming from Canada, their idea of beer is somewhat different, oh well. It's a bit further out than the typical downtown restaurants but it is worth the trek up Roosevelt Ave. They have a very cute indoor and outdoor camping dining area and can accommodate large parties. They have a huge waiting area, a bar table, and plenty of tables and camping chairs! The concept is very cute and they seem to have brought the idea from China. My friend and I shared everything so we get to try more variety. Since they are known for their skewers, we got an order of beef, chicken, and fish tofu. Each order came with about 5-7 small skewers which was the perfect size. They were very flavorful and spiced. My favorite thing was the clam Vermicelli noodles with a hint of spicy to it. I would definitely go back for it! As for drinks, we each ordered a cocktail. She got the bahamama on the fruitier end and I got a mojito which had a lot of ice and felt watered down. When I heard the trend had made it as far as flushing, I knew I had to come sample the skewers at Camp Camp. The vegetarian skewer offerings are surprisingly plentiful. We loved the eggplant, tofu skin, and cauliflower in particular. The enoki mushroom was visually pleasing, but not that flavorful, and the chive was simply too intense. Came to Camp Camp twice within two weeks and enjoyed both times. The skewers have good & addictive seasoning, and spiciness can also be adjusted. Everything I tried was good, but especially loved the juiciness of the chicken and beef skewers. For appetizers, I love the sweet and sour vegetables. It comes with a delicious sauce that refreshes the palate from all the other skewer seasonings, and contains wood ear mushrooms, cilantro, and peanuts on top of the the veggies containing cucumber, carrots, etc. I could eat the entire order by myself! The wasabi arctic surf clam was also good with ample wasabi flavor. For other dishes, the vermicelli clam foil pot was pretty good. I wish they had more foil pot options, like one containing just fatty beef with vermicelli noodles. The sausage fried rice and instant noodle were satisfying, but wish they had a little more flavor.
