Pretty decent hotpot place! The prices are relatively cheaper than other hotpot restaurants and they have some nice snacks and dessert (like ice cream and tanghulu) at the self service bar. They also have a good food and broth selection.

For our last meal in Flushing we saved the best for last. It was recommended by a local. The hot pot is excellent. The broths are very tasty. Generous portions of fresh meats and vegetables. Somehow, one shrimp snuck into our hot pot, thank you very much. The pistachio shaved ice dessert was a very tasty end to our last meal in Flushing. The dining room is spacious and allows customers and staff to move about without difficulty. The dining room and restrooms are very clean. The staff is numerous and very attentive and I overheard them speaking Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Will I return? Yes! I wish I lived closer than 618 miles away.

This place replaced Dolar Hotpot which used to be in the same spot. It's a competitive area in flushing. Wanted to try it out since I saw some good reviews and some pretty cool looking dessert. Their popular items were good, we kept it pretty standard and enjoyed the meat, veggies and appetizer selection we got. Their popular items soup bases were quite good. The dessert we got was the watermelon which is served in half a watermelon and it was okay. The watermelon balls we're sweet but the sorbet itself and the white bubbles didn't have much flavor. It was pretty but I wouldn't get it again. Nan Hotpot is a pretty standard hot pot, and has free membership. Not sure of all the benefits of the membership.

We've been here twice, everything is fine, but the service is slow a bit. Foods are fresh even the quantity is too small. However, the vibe is cute, like the cutie pandas were decorated.

Loved this place! The broth was super tasty, everything was really fresh, and the staff were so nice. Great spot to hang out with friends over hotpot. Definitely coming back!

Best hotpot ever, I have been here many times, the soup base, the chicken fingers, the meat, and the services, and of course much better than chongqing hotpot and Haidilao. Oh I love it!

Nan hot pot delivers a dining experience that is both cozy and modern. The multi flavor pot option was on point. We got the spicy broth and tomato broth . the ingredients were freshly made and the sauce bar was user friendly.

Not only was this place accommodating but they were so friendly. After being put on the waitlist for Coco Hotpot and taking too long, we decided to try out Nan and it was not a disappointment. As a foodie, I always value treatment over quality but I got best of both here. Liucheng was our server and he was exceptional! I was happy with the prices and the amounts of food served at a time. You can clearly see that the food is cut fresh and they are very generous. If you are looking for a nice experience and delicious food, go to Nan Hotpot, you will not regret it.

The hot pot itself I think was average but the real standout for me was the appetizers. Seating in a booth tucked away in a corner on the first floor was a bit awkward to navigate. The sauce station downstairs was not well maintained and several items were out of stock, but that may have been because it was around 9PM. Second floor seating and sauce station are better. Food 4.5/5: Main complaint is that their menu is really confusing, despite this being my second visit. There are 4 pricing tiers. Everyone in a party has to choose the same one, so it can get pricey fast. Higher tiers include seafood and more premium wagyu cuts. You still get unlimited wagyu in the lowest tier but seafood is not included. I think this setup is fine because premium seafood items like lobster and crab tend to clutter the pot and are difficult to deshell while hot but also taste worse after cooled. Although the premium wagyu cuts do taste richer and "melt in your mouth," most of the fat is renders into the broth. Therefore, I don't think hot pot is the best way to enjoy wagyu, so the higher tiers didn't feel worth the price. The best part of the meal was definitely the appetizers and specialty dishes. The wagyu bone marrow was amazing and a must-try but only available to the second tier or up. Ambiance 3.5/5: I think being tucked away in a corner booth made the experience less enjoyable. The table was small for a party of 6, so we constantly had to rearrange dishes whenever new food arrived. It was inconvenient that everyone had to get up whenever I needed to refill my drink or sauce. Service 4/5: The first floor sauce station wasn't restocked throughout our stay so options were limited. Otherwise no real complaints regarding service to our table.

Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

The mushroom was my favorite and loaded with fresh mushrooms. -beef tongue rattan pepper: at first the pepper was not overwhelming but with time it was numbing my tongue which was a bit uncomfortable -sliced beef tendon: delicious -prime beef slices: they weren't that soft and not super well marbled. The bowl that our mushrooms came in was rusted... kind of ruined my whole experience. At least server was super nice and attentive. Wouldn't come back though.

I don't care about the pandas, like it doesn't make the place cute or anything, it just makes me think these stuff pandas are collecting mad dust from hanging all around this restaurant. No one is cleaning that mess - these poor stuffies just smelling like hot pot and collecting dust. The floors here are crazy slippery - I am sure someone have already slipped and slide here. The menu was super limited and a lot of things were combo and you couldn't order them individually. Got the whatever Beef Broth that you can pick the level of spice and I picked mild, since not trying to do spicy anymore, and I am sorry, but it was spicy, not even medium okay. The sauce bar was a joke - the garlic, and chili appears to be store bought that's already minced and cut not freshly done at the restaurant. The offerings at the bar was also very limited and not good. The dessert bar - too many things that were overly sweet. We didn't even get any serving utensils, when we finally asked, we only got a ladle not even the slotted spoons. But the waitress had two spoons and she gave us the ladle and the slotted one to the other table but we actually wanted the slotted and that other party wanted the ladle. But I heard her tell the other party they ran out - like this place is not even that big and they ran out of serving utensils? WHAT? Yeah, not coming back here, since one, not trying to bust my ass on their wonky ass floor and two, the food is just too limited for me. I did appreciate the basket they offered to put in your belongings and that was it!

They kept surprising us with little extras throughout the meal, which didn't feel gimmicky, just generous and attentive in a way that's rare. What really stood out, though, was something that happened before we even sat down. My family and I were outside juggling a bunch of stuff, and one of the workers noticed. She wasn't even actively assigned to us, but she came over, held the door open, and insisted on helping carry everything in. She didn't just drop it off either--she walked with us all the way until we were seated. That kind of effort, especially when it's not "required," says a lot about the culture there. Beyond the service, the value is just strong. The quality, portions, and overall experience easily justify the price. It's one of those places where you leave feeling taken care of, not just fed.

I was shocked since she is not a fan of Shabu Shabu but she recently gave it a try and now she loves it. I'm like OMG, all those years of missing out. I have read a lot of amazing things about Haidiloa. There are 7 locations in L.A./SF and one in Flushing. I asked the waitress if she knows if one will be opening up in Jersey. She was sweet enough to take the time to ask her manager and inform me that yes, they are planning to in the next 2-3 years. Now that is incredible customer service. We went for the lunch combo $19.99. Seems like everyone else around us was going for this deal as well. You get a platter of veggies and one protein choice and rice or noodles. My sister chose the sliced fish and I got the pork belly slices. We also shared a few à la carte dishes...sliced Angus Beef, shrimp, corn, and tofu. I will say that these items were pricey and can add up. Ooh, make sure you leave a little room for the desserts at the bar. Lots to choose from. I was beyond excited for their drink menu. I got the Seven-Infused Jasmine Milk Tea. For all you Molly Tea fans, this one tasted just like one of their jasmine drinks. And it's only $4.95. Service is a solid 10/10. Waitress wore gloves to take the shell off the shrimps for us. She constantly came by to make sure everything was good. You will surely be well taken care of. We left a very generous tip. Overall it was an epic hot pot experience. Love love love all the little details like the cute aprons, bag for your jackets, little snack treats to bring home, hair ties for the ladies so you can tie your hair up and eat. Lol. There are even toothbrushes and toothpaste in the restrooms. Reservations are a must unless you like to wait 1-2 hours. I cannot wait until they open one in New Jersey!

The restaurant environment is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere is pleasant. As someone from Sichuan, I found the flavors to be quite authentic. The beef tripe (qian ceng du) was reasonably priced with a generous portion, and the spicy broth was excellent -- flavorful and well-balanced. Service was also attentive and friendly throughout the meal. However, there was a small but concerning incident toward the end of our meal. While eating, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on the roof of my mouth. I then realized that the chopsticks had cracked in the middle, creating a sharp splinter that caused a minor injury and bleeding. This was quite unexpected, as I have never experienced anything like this before. The manager responded promptly, provided ice water, and asked if I needed medical assistance or an ambulance, which I appreciated. A discount was also offered. Since the injury was not serious, I chose not to escalate the situation further. Overall, I still think this is a good restaurant in terms of food and service, and I would consider coming back. However, I strongly suggest that the restaurant improve quality control of their utensils to ensure customer safety. This could be much more serious if it happened to a child. Hope to see improvements in the future.

Having traveled from Pennsylvania based on positive experiences Ive been here few times before, I expected a much better experience. The service felt off from the start due to I was speaking Thai and waiter/waitress likely judged that I do not speak English. My husband heard the whole conversation and it bothered him at the moment led him to feel unwelcome, but I told my husband that I don't care what they think so we can enjoy our meal. The overall atmosphere was rather strange for an all-you-can-eat buffet. The total bill for two adults came to ~$74 We ordered two sets of pendant bread () for takeout, and we left a $10 cash tip on the table. Almost immediately after placing the cash down, the waitress approached and asked if it was a TIP making a VISIBLY DISPLEASED expression before walking away. As we were leaving, I was confronted by the owner or head manager (me and him spoke Thai) inquired what was wrong with the service. He stated that the waitress had complained about the TIP amount less than 10%. We explained that we had not included the approximately $30 takeout order in our tip calculation, especially considering it was a buffet restaurant. A quick calculation would have shown that the $10 TIP represented roughly 15% on the dining portion alone, and the waitress's primary contribution during our visit was simply providing water and choice of 'appetizers'. I gave them 5 stars on google and yelp 6 years ago (going to delete it) I have always recommended this place to my boss and colleagues from NY, NJ to PA But I will have to retract my recommendation to them after this. I REPEAT 'DO NOT COME HERE' We will NOT be returning. While the food itself was decent but the UNGRATEFUL ATTITUDE and handling of the situation completely ruined what had otherwise been a pleasant meal. I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE!
