Never been to this location even though it is closer to me than the one in Tustin, and I will keep going to the Tustin location. Not too crowded and definitely no long line to check out unlike Tustin location, but item selection here is incompatible. Actually this location is more updated than the Lake Forest one, but still items are not really up to date. I like shopping at Homegoods to find varieties in good deal clothing,(especially for hubby), and all kinds of little things for needs in all around the house, sometimes I can find a very expensive cook wear for 70% off of regular price! Always loving to buy towels, when they get thin, I get new towels again because they are very cheaper here than any other places. Because Homegoods fast paced restocking, I can always find something new here, that's what I love about Homegoods. But in this location items are not stocked fast enough, nothing really interesting. Customer service sucks. I went there after work to buy mirrors for the house and I had to carry all the mirrors with no one asking me for help. There was a guy that worked there that was very rude to me. He was annoyed that I was messing the order of mirrors and when I went to pay. The mirror was scratched so I asked if I can go get a different one. I went with my receipt and the same guy seems me and says didn't you pay?! We are closing in 5 mins. Seriously!! Instead of asking me for help. I had to sort out the mirrors again and carry this huge mirror across the store to my car without anyone offering the help even after I asked. This location is on the smaller size in my opinion, thus not as much items compared to other locations, so I don't think I'll come back here. I'd rather drive further to a larger location to get the best options and where they actually enforce covid precautions. A concern about this location is that It's good that they're enforcing masks for customers during covid, but honestly, what's the point if you're not enforcing it as strictly with your employees? I came in today and noticed an employee named sabah not have her mask on, I mean seriously? It was tucked under her chin thus exposing her nose and mouth. She was literally in the middle of where customers were passing by too with NO mask on! How is this considered safe?! Weird thing is, other employees did have their mask on BUT her, and I'm sure they saw her without it on, but still chose not say anything. I wish people would just understand that wearing a mask isn't about you, it's about everyone else and protecting the others around you, it's a really selfish act to choose not to wear it just because you "don't care" read more

This is the absolute best home goods I've been too. So clean and organized and the shelves we stocked (unlike other home goods Iv been too). The staff was so friendly as well.... Especially Julie!! Not helpful. You're on your own here and hopefully you won't have questions. I believe only once I have ever actually had help finding an item. Other than that single time, the answer has always been "check the floor" or "everything is on the floor." I recognize the employees so I know they're not new to the store, therefore should know their inventory. Stopped by this store, looking for that wood carved night stand that I found in Downey. This store is very organized. Every department I walked through was nicely organized. The dishes were so easy to find by size and color. The lamp selection was very limited.There wasn't a long line for checkout that made it easy to checkout. This store is in the Tustin District surrounded by: Whole Foods, Target, Lowes, Costco, Michaels, In&Out, Chickfila, and many more stores. read more

Hit and miss at this location as far as the merchandise is concerned. You can find great deals and unique items for your home, just like any other HomeGoods. The issue I have with this location is the quality of customer service, or lack thereof. Specifically, beware of a cashier named Cathy. I just witnessed Cathy treat another customer with an unimaginable amount of disrespect, belittling her in public with the intent of broadcasting it to the entire store. It was completely uncalled for, and it made other customers in the store very uncomfortable. Nobody should be treated so poorly, especially a customer at the hands of an employee. Absolutely unacceptable and in poor taste. If I ever see Cathy in the store again, I'll turn around and exit the property. It's a shame when the store manager/employees violates company policy by purchasing highly sought after merchandise then resells it for inflated prices online. It's no wonder none of the product can be found in this store at any time when the employees are up to these shenanigans. I'm sure after enough complaints there will be an investigation. Hope it was worth your job! We are seeing people from this 3 store chain being fired for this exact reason. I hope you're next! Friendly service and sometimes good finds. But please stop asking me to sign up for the store card. Some associates ask me several times, and it's extremely off-putting and discourages me to go inside when I otherwise would. Not everyone is in the market to just open new credit cards willy nilly, and companies should absolutely respect that. I would respect this company more if they were more socially responsible and respected customers' wishes about that, rather than trying to push their own goals. read more

My friend informed me of some discount consumables here so I decided to check out the clearance consumables area to see what was in there. They were immediately to tne left of the entrance and there was a whole shelf of them. The checkout process is that a number is shown on a screen and one is directed to that location, like a Marshalls. There was a short wait but the transaction was processed properly. read more

A smaller Home Goods but conveniently located for me and still has a lot of things I like going to these stores for (serving platters and other things for entertaining, lighting, a holiday decoration here or there, etc). The staff that I've experienced have been friendly. I once bought a mirror for my entryway. There were a few scratches on a side that you wouldn't see when it was hung up. They were willing to give me a discount and the employee was very nice about helping me to the car in the rain. read more

I really liked this HomeGoods. Love that it's relatively new and a stand alone HomeGoods (not combined with a TJ Maxx). It's conveniently off Irvine Blvd. within a good shopping center with a Trader Joe's right next store and a huge Ralph's at the far end. They had everything Christmas and seasonal when I was in this week. I loved digging through the candles, cookware, etc. Helpful, active staff constantly re-stocking and working the cashiers. I found the store to be well organized and clean especially for this time of year. Bathrooms are very clean as well. The Clearance section is smaller than other HomeGoods I've been to but that's probably just because it's a new store. Over time i'm sure it will grow, as with every section within the store. read more

Lots to look at. Some of the aisles are a little tight if you're strolling around with a basket so be prepared to exercise patience...something I have little of these days. I would say that if you're looking for really good selection, spread out over more square footage, go to the one at the District - TJ Maxx/Home Goods. The only problem with that store, not to it's fault, is the dumb parking lot. read more

This is the worst home goods store I have ever been to because they gave me my first racist experience from shopping there. I was returning two items today: $12.99 +$22 (total is $34.99 before the tax), and then I bought two new items at the same time: $5.99+$24.99 (total is $30.99 before the tax). The short hair cashier said she can just exchange for me but I have to pay extra $4 for the difference...I thought to myself ehm...no? That's not the right math. So I said $34.99 credit -$30.99 debit I should get $4 back! The cashier didn't even listen to me. She wasn't even wiling to calculate the actual difference between the return and the new purchase. Instead she just starring at me and insisted that the "computer shows that you owe me $4" and that she didn't do anything wrong. Then, she spoke slowly, as if I didn't know how to speak English: "DO.......YOU......UNDERSTAND..........ME?!?" Are you serious? She was obviously not born in the US from her strong accent and she had the audacity to slow her speech pattern to stereotype my ethnicity? I just want to leave so I paid "$4", but thank goodness the transaction didn't go through. She finally realized her mistake that she was wrong and refunded my money back... This new location, between Home Depot and Trader Joe's, is finally open! It's smaller than the one at the District even after accounting for the TJMaxx extension. I came on opening day (10/18/15) and it was extremely crowded. The shelves are very organized (but could also be because it was the first day). I found many great products! read more

Don't give me wrong I love HomeGoods but this particular location the aisles are WAY TO SMALL!! I've been to a few locations and never remember it being so hard to navigate the store especially with a basket! When you come to a HomeGoods you know your going to walk out with something you don't even need but the selection is so mesmerizing that you can't help yourself! HG has been my go to spot for King Louie's pet wipes, I used to buy dog bags but they aren't the best quality and tend to remind me of using a produce bag to pick up your pups poo -__- Service was good, there is always a line regardless no matter what time you come, they try to get the line down but I never feel there is enough cashiers on duty but I do see people on the floor so not sure if they aren't scheduling enough cashiers or not. I walked out with a bag but didn't walk out with what I was really looking for :( HG is also a pet-friendly store which is nice to bring your pup with you so you don't feel guilty for leaving them at home! This is a very good HomeGoods store. Yes, it's rather small but it's a stand alone HomeGoods only store and not combined with TJ Maxx. It's also a brand new store so it will take them a while to get it right. I went to the HomeGoods in Tustin and this Irvine store is way better! The items here are newer and better. I just bought this cooking tools last week, and I read the specifications that is saying the maximum temp is 420 F. I just used it for normal cook for a few times, this tool melt. Today I went to store to explain the problem, the store manager said that you cook temp too high to melt the tool. I said just normal cook, and you think the temperature can arrive 420F. WTF how I cook can get 420 F high. She said she cook and did not melt. Fk this stupid. Fking services at this HomeGoods! The manager Jeremy at this location is one of the rudest people I have met. He is never in a good mood, always staring down people and when people ask him for help he is short and snappy with them . One day, I just stood and observed him interact with some customers and his customer service was terrible. It was sad seeing the look on the customers faces when they were treated with horrible customer service. Someone should tell this guy that 'smiles are free' and he should smile and be more friendly especially being in customer service. It is shocking that he is a manager of a store. I hope things change after management sees this review or at least looks into this situation at the store. read more

I bought a blanket here that was defective. The item wasn't marked defective so I was in for an unpleasant surprise when I got home and there was a huge burn mark on it. I called the store and one of the managers said I could bring it back but it was also the last one so I tried the other HomeGoods in Tustin. Unfortunately they didn't have the same blanket either. So I asked for a price adjustment and they said that since I bought it at the Irvine location I'd have to take it back there for any price adjustments or returns because they do not sell defective products. They also mentioned that the blanket I had purchased is out of season so I should receive an additional discount. So I took the item back to the Irvine location and Chris, the manager on duty was very cold. In a stern voice said that the blanket would not be marked down and that he had personally marked the item down already knowing it was defective... and he was pretty rude and not at all working to resolve the issue. Seriously though, I thought HomeGoods isn't supposed to carry defective goods in the first place! What a waste of time shopping here. Lousy customer service and defective products. I had such a bad experience here today. I went to return some stuff. The first lady reprimanded me like a child in front of other customers for returning stuff with a smurk. The Asian manager who was approving the stuff I was returning gave me such a hard time. They are not nice like they used to be. I used to go there to return stuff and the staff were so nice and very helpful and they would return stuff with no problems. As a loyal customer I buy a lot of household items each time I am at the store between $200-$500 each time. I spent a lot of mony at HomeGoods. As customers we literally pay for their wages. They are so ungrateful and mean. I don't return stuff that often. On a rare occasion I will return something. While I was waiting in line, the same two ladies were giving another customer hard time about returning her items and both of the ladies behind the counter were creating a loud scene. Especially the Asian manager was talking so loud and very rude. We spend so much money at their store, we should be allowed to return things we don't like or want without feeling shamed, embarrased, reprimaned in front of other customers. read more

I am extremely forgot my self when I visit Home Goods lots of pretty amazing stuff makes me spending more money. So I decided to apply a new strategy to make a balance among what I need vs avoid spending money. My strategy is when I get into the store I push the trolley & pick what ever I like with out checking the price until the moment I have to decide which I will buy, & which I will not buy. Then I turn to put back all the stuff decided not to buy at the same place I took from. This strategy reduces my appetite to buy so pretty stuff I don't need them indirectly. I recommend this strategy to others it's may help may not but it worth to give a try at least once. ATTENTION remember to put back all unwanted stuff u decided not to buy, it's good & kind to be kind with the employees working there & keep the store organized. This is probably the worst Home Goods I've been into. The store is incredibly small, it's unorganized, the items are pretty much thrown on top of each other and most of what I picked up was damaged. If you are looking for furniture or your typical large selection of home decor forget this place. It seemed like they had more items for pets and seasonal items than anything. The store feels like an afterthought to slam something into a vacant retail space to make money. I'd rather risk my life fighting to get out of the Marketplace's parking lot than come back to this location. Such an incredible let down. read more
