We love Daiso! I was so thrilled when they opened one in Flushing, NY. Sadly that is gone. So one of our must dos when we are out west is to go to Daiso. We found this Daiso and stopped in. We were there for 15 minutes when we realized we needed more time to shop because it is the largest we have seen in the States. They even carry items from their sister store Threeppy which I visited in Tokyo. We returned the next day and roamed the store to our hearts content. Such a wonderful selection of items, things you think you didn't need or wat. We picked up several items which would definitely cost more elsewhere. The base price for Daiso items is $2.25 unless otherwise marked and according to the conversion table so prices do range. Shelves are well stocked. It is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. Service is friendly and efficient. All purchases are final sale so no refunds. Happy shopping! read more

It used to be hands down the cheapest place to buy certain things like cotton pads and little Knick knacks...but now you might find some of these items cheaper elsewhere. I love that Daiso is a mix of all sorts of affordable Japanese goodies. After grabbing dinner at a nearby restaurant, my partner and I walked over here to search for a rice holder. Everything in this store is well-organized, and there's literally everything you could think of in here. Right now, it also looks like they have holiday-themed decorations for purchase. We were able to find exactly what we were looking for, and paid about $16 for two rice holders. My favorite section at Daiso is there snacks section. They have everything from chips, crackers, sweet treats, and even instant ramens, curries, and dipping sauces. There's not a whole lot of people working here, but they're really efficient. read more

Daiso is an amazing place that has everything you never knew you needed! They have amazing items that look like they're straight from Japan. Lots of kawaii stuff, Sanrio, Disney, Dragon Ball Z, and more! It's like the dollar store, but cuter! They have tons of cool Japanese snacks, candy and drinks. They also have great beauty products, wallets, stickers, crafts and more. It's a place you can spend a lot of time in. The few areas they could work on is it would be nice if the prices were color coated, because they're a bit hard to understand for me. Also, the staff aren't too helpful or friendly. The cashier I had today was personable and barely said anything without me initiating. I'm always pro customer service. Ultimately though, if you're looking for a gift or random cute item, this is your spot. Also, the prices start at $1.75 and go up. What can you say about Daiso? Pretty much every one in the SoCal area is pretty much the same. What they offer is similar, and their layouts are generally much the same, as well. This one is no different. The space for this store is fairly large. Thus, their aisles are not cramped, as is the case with some of their other locations. In fact, there's a lot of room in the store. What Daiso also offers is what Daiso offers. Those unique items, that are offered for a very good price. Overall, if you need what Daiso has to offer, and you're in Irvine, this is your place to go. read more

I love visiting all the Daisos whenever I'm visiting from out of my boring town on the East Coast and this Daiso has always been great! It's always so fully stocked and organized. I stopped by this Daiso before my lunch reservation at NEP Cafe and was amazed at how big the store was. They have many cool items that other stores don't carry. Everything is neatly organized and well put together. I ended up buying some things I'd never seen in my local store. Most items are priced at $1.75, although some are higher, but there is a chart to help you figure out the cost. The staff was very nice and helpful. Always great value and good quality at Daiso. It's located in a large strip mall close to Mitsuwa Marketplace. Highly recommend checking it out of you are in the area. read more

Always enjoy shopping at Daiso! Today I brought three friends that had never shopped at a Daiso and they each found things they had to have. Of course~ I always take home stickers, papers, bags, plastic containers, and snacks. There were Easter bunnies and other cute spring things but I didn't need that today. Everything I bought today was $1.75 which was good. The good thing about Daiso is that there are price charts all over the store and items that are not $1.75 are marked well. There were two people working registers at check out so I did have to wait a few minutes before checking out. read more

Enjoy shopping at this store a lot. So many cute Japanese items to choose from! I love how this store is stocked with a variety of items ranging from Kitchenware to garden supplies. This review is long overdue. I frequent this Daiso location in Irvine and used to leave with something in my hands every time I visit. In the last three years, I have finally learned some self control and don't always walk out with another THING to add to my life. This Daiso location is sizeable compared to other locations in the surrounding cities. While not as large as some of the locations in LA county, they still offer a lot of the same items as the larger stores. They sell a variety of things for your everyday needs such as household, kitchen, stationary, food, pets, etc. Daiso items used to be priced at $1.50 when they first opened, but items now range from $1.50 - $5.00. Still very affordable, but don't assume everything is the same price. I love almost everything about Daiso, but the one thing that I find disappointing is that their product inventory is very inconsistent. Often times, I will buy something and the next time I go back to buy more there is none left. I will check back every week and nothing. Suddenly, half a year or several months later the item is restocked! I asked the sales associate about this before to check and see when/if they will be getting a particular product back and they said that they don't have that information. So if you really like something from here, I would go back quick to buy more before they run out. read more

Usually I can only find a couple Alice items here and there throughout their Disney section, but they FINALLY got an ENTIRE Alice collection in! I will post photos that I found online of all the different items. They were out of some of the items that I wanted, so I will have to go check out another location. But my favorite thing about this store is the fact that they have items from Disney Japan! And other Disney items that they don't sell at American Disney Parks. And they are NOT expensive either, HOWEVER, I DID realize they went up from $1.75 to like $2.25/$2.50 on items that have no price on them. But still, not bad at all! read more

Daiso is one of those places where I feel compelled to wander around just looking for something that I might not necessarily need, but at least it's not terribly expensive. Then, there are times when there's something essential to replace, and Daiso is the only place to go for it. This was one of our missions as we meandered through Irvine's Asian markets one Saturday, finding a replacement plastic laundry basket that's compact, flexible, round, and nests. We lucked out this time because we scored two of the last three they had. Oh happy day, so easily amused. We browsed a bit, but nothing nonessential jumped out, so we left with the two baskets, nicely nested. read more

The store manager here needs to take a class on customer service 101, because treating customers like crap won't get them to come back. My friend's grandma accidentally knocked over a cup that shattered. When the worker and store manager came, they kept reiterating that they need to pay $1.75 ASAP. This was mentioned multiple times by the way. My friend immediately agreed to pay but wanted to purchase some other things in the store too. So then the store manager promptly asked to keep their credit card at the register. FOR WHAT? You think an Asian grandma with a walker is gonna run out and rob you of your $1.75????? Do you genuinely think telling all your Daiso workers to watch my friend and her grandma like they're some criminals is going to get you returning customers? To the store manager who was on duty on 12/28/2022, I suggest you get some more training on customer service. Your short-sighted resolution cost the store several returning customers. This Daiso is one of the better one's I go too. They usually have what I'm looking for. Due to Covid 19, some Daiso's don't have the things they used to have. I come to this one because they also have a bigger selection. Daiso is always a fun place to be. It's like Disneyland to me. I love looking in this Daiso and seeing what they have new and available. I normally get my stationary here, my make up cotton balls here, new kitchen items, house cleaning products like duster and stuff. They have a lot available at this location. I also like to get my Japanese snacks here. If you are a new home owner or just got a new apartment, and you don't have a lot of money leftover to spend for household stuff... this is the place to be. When I first moved into my 3rd apartment, I came here almost every other week to buy stuff for my place. They have dusters, cleaning agents, bathroom cleaner tools, alot of kitchen tools and household tools for cheap price. Most of their items cost no more than $1.50. Some of the more top notch items might cost you a little more. I also got some cute decorations for the apartment window display. I've gotten cute socks here, ice warm gloves here for the winter, some cute beanies for the cold winter days and many more. They also have gardening tools here. It really is a good place to buy things when you don't have a lot of monthly budget to spare. Even when I moved into our new home, I would still come here for many needs. Don't let the $1.50 and up price tag fool you, I've bought items that lasted me for awhile. Their chopsticks that come in a pack of 4 or more lasted me years. I didn't have to buy chopsticks until I moved in me and my fiancé home. Just because the price seems cheap, it doesn't mean the items are cheap. I bought plenty of items that were put to good use until it was down to its last feet. Parking is not a hassle here at all. It's a big plaza home to other small businesses and more. We do come here on the weekends though, and sometime it might take a few minutes before we can find parking. It's a busy plaza during the weekend, not sure about the weekdays though. I was here on Monday the 6th afternoon. I used to shop here around 2 or 3 times per month, but not any more. The cashiers here are hardly welcome or thanks guests, but on the last time I was here the young male cashier was so rude and he showed that Daiso does not need the guests. I bought 8 long sticks for garden used and asked if he could give me some scotch tape to tape around, I asked if he could please hold those sticks so I could put the tape around, he said If I want to do it myself then go ahead do it and he walked away with a very rude look. Management needs to look at the attitude of some of their front staffs, if they don't like people and think that people who comes to Daiso because they don't have money to go somewhere else then those cashiers should not be there at all. I like having some old skool scratch paper on hand so I picked up two 200 packs of ruled index cards. I use them for jotting down notes on story ideas or important things like how to tips for treating a current injury. Having it nearby on the sofa makes it harder to forget versus saving it in the notes feature of my cellphone can easily be forgotten. We also picked up a double layer strainer for washing fruits and veggies. And I got a second old skool brown wooden or faux wood clipboard for taking notes on a firm writing surface while watching TV. read more

Daiso has always been known to be the japanese version of the dollar store but as prices have increased most things here are typically not a dollar anymore regardless of what the yen to US conversion maybe. Still the store offers a variety of high quality products, some of my favorites are actually the cleaning supplies (brushes, scrubbers, etc.) Some of the food items offered are also a good price, sometimes cheaper than what you find at the adjacent Mitzuwa Market. I also like the gift bags and gift wrapping options which often have cute designs. read more

Shopping in Irvine, California... Every Daiso carries different merchandise. I went to three Daiso stores in Japan and found something unique at each store that the other locations didn't have. It's the same with Daisos in Honolulu, Pearl City, Torrance, Pasadena, and now Irvine! I wasn't even thinking about going to a Daiso, but my friend, Van D., told me that there was a store right across the street from Smart & Final in Irvine, so, after I found Knox gelatin in a container, I went to Daiso. As soon as I walked in, I spotted a Hello Kitty scrub pouch... of course I had to get it! Hello Kitty items aren't as common a find in the USA as compared with Daiso stores in Japan. I also found some Mickey Mouse items that I haven't seen before. I had to get a few as gifts! Thanks to Van D. for this great shopping experience! This store is spacious, clean, and well stocked for the most part. Occasionally, they might be a bit sparse in some areas, but on average, they seem to carry more inventory than other Daisos. They carry some items here that aren't commonly found elsewhere, so it's usually worth a browse if you're near a Daiso. Most items here are generally priced at the $1.75 that Daiso is famous for, but watch out for the specially priced items. For example, an iced tea bottle here was $6, which is priced more than what some markets sell them for. As a note, they list their closing time at 9pm, but the past couple of times I've visited, they have closed an hour earlier than the listed time. read more

Horrible customer service. My grandma accidentally broke a $1.75 glass cup with her walker (she was walking too close to the shelves), the store employee came over and the first thing she said was you gotta pay for this. We said we were sorry and we'll be happy to pay. The employee told us we gotta pay 3 or 4 times. Since we were not done shopping, the employee took the broken cup to the cash register and told us to pay once we were done shopping. All good and fine, we were a little annoyed but thought we resolved this whole thing. And then the employee called over her manager, and her manager also told us we gotta pay and asked us to leave our credit card with them. At this point, we're like what in the world is this, for a $1.75 cup you want us to leave our credit card with you, no way. We said we're not gonna give our credit card, you can give us the broken cup and we'll take it to the cash register ourselves. And the manager was like oh no we can't do that, it's dangerous blah blah blah. But we were firm on this, either give us the cup or you can leave it at the cash register, we're not giving you our credit card. So they found a box and we kept the cup with us until we went to pay. The manager was watching us like a hawk and told all the employees at the cash register to watch us. All this over a $1.75 cup. Great store! There is a little bit of everything here and most items $1.50. If you want food/snacks/drinks, stationary, pens, paper, office stuff to go in your desk and stuff to go on your desk, they have it! There are many household items from cooking utensils to containers to put food in. They have cups and plates,enamel ware and ceramic. Glass and stainless. I found make up, hair products, items to go in your hair and products to keep your hair looking good. Even Baskets to put your hair products in! I love it and it's so different than most dollar stores I have in my home state. Might stop in one more time before we head home! read more

This is the best Daiso! The store is huge and clean, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We have found everything from coffee filters to face masks, from chair stockings to kids' party favors in Daiso's seemingly endless shelves. And everything is extremely affordable. We had an issue with a certain item and the manager was extremely helpful in getting it resolved. I'm being specifically vague on purpose, but just know that the manager went above and beyond in setting things right. read more

A little piece of Japan that everyone can experience, or anyone else looking to find goods ranging from home, garden, kitchen, crafts or Japanese snacks. I often come here to find Japanese snacks, but most recently, have found it as a cheap alternative to build out my garden. I'm limited to a small patio space, but Daiso has provided a nice selection of sized pots, floor coverings and other watering accessories that have been useful in fostering my green thumb. Some favorite snacks I really enjoy here are the Hi-chew, Calbee Jagabee potato sticks, pocky and chips. With most items priced at $1.50, it has the same feeling as Target if you know what I mean. You may walk in with intent to get one item, but often times, you walk out with more than expected. There are a few items that are marked higher, but those are explicitly displayed and ticketed, so you don't get fooled by fine print. read more
