Japanese store with a large variety of products ranging from kitchenware, to housewares, to plush, to crafts, to cosmetics, to food. The prices have really increased over the years. It used to be hands down the cheapest place to buy certain things like cotton pads and little Knick knacks...but now you might find some of these items cheaper elsewhere. Regardless nothing here will break the bank so come and buy fun little things to make you happy.

The pricing is a little hard to understand.

Daiso is an amazing place that has everything you never knew you needed! They have amazing items that look like they're straight from Japan. Lots of kawaii stuff, Sanrio, Disney, Dragon Ball Z, and more! It's like the dollar store, but cuter! They have tons of cool Japanese snacks, candy and drinks. They also have great beauty products, wallets, stickers, crafts and more. It's a place you can spend a lot of time in. The few areas they could work on is it would be nice if the prices were color coated, because they're a bit hard to understand for me. Also, the staff aren't too helpful or friendly. The cashier I had today was personable and barely said anything without me initiating. I'm always pro customer service. Ultimately though, if you're looking for a gift or random cute item, this is your spot. Also, the prices start at $1.75 and go up. It's a great deal for most items, but for other things they should be less money, in my opinion. Overall though, I will always be a fan of Daiso!

I was excited to find the store today in Irvine and walked around and looked at all the art supplies. Everything is so inexpensive and cute! I love all the stationary and stickers and it's so reasonably priced. I will be back.

I stopped by this Daiso before my lunch reservation at NEP Cafe and was amazed at how big the store was. They have many cool items that other stores don't carry. Everything is neatly organized and well put together. I ended up buying some things I'd never seen in my local store. Most items are priced at $1.75, although some are higher, but there is a chart to help you figure out the cost. The staff was very nice and helpful. Always great value and good quality at Daiso. It's located in a large strip mall close to Mitsuwa Marketplace. Highly recommend checking it out of you are in the area.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this store!!! I'm SOOOO excited that they FINALLY have an ENTIRE Alice in Wonderland COLLECTION! Usually I can only find a couple Alice items here and there throughout their Disney section, but they FINALLY got an ENTIRE Alice collection in! I will post photos that I found online of all the different items. They were out of some of the items that I wanted, so I will have to go check out another location. But my favorite thing about this store is the fact that they have items from Disney Japan! And other Disney items that they don't sell at American Disney Parks. And they are NOT expensive either, HOWEVER, I DID realize they went up from $1.75 to like $2.25/$2.50 on items that have no price on them. But still, not bad at all!

Enjoy shopping at this store a lot. So many cute Japanese items to choose from! I love how this store is stocked with a variety of items ranging from Kitchenware to garden supplies. There's also snacks, drinks like calpico with many flavors, and lots of beauty products and toys to choose from. I always find cute stationery here and there's always unique pens, stickers. I do miss their original pricing of $1.50 but now prices have increased and some items range from $1.50 up to $8!!!

    No returns/exchanges or $100 bill/checks

Okay selection but I personally prefer the Irvine location to this one in Costa Mesa. It's very small and focuses more on snacks.

The Good - Overall lower prices than supers on most items…read more- Great selection of wines and beer at discounted prices - Good selection of organic/healthy items - Breads, milk, and house brand items are really good deals The bad - Many items have short best buy and expiration dates - Small in size and variety compared to their larger stores i.e. Irvine and Costa Mesa I've always thought this was the Marshall's of the grocery business. Many of the items that he supers don't want end up here. Nothing wrong with that but it means that there is not the consistency of items You can't count on some of the items you're buying today will be there tomorrow. On the good part is that it's often at a great prices. For example, I just bought a bottle of antibacterial Dawn Dish liquid for $3.99 bit is $6.99 at the supers. They had an extra large bag (1.5#) of Lindt Dark Chocolate truffles for $9.99, retail is $17.99 but I first noticed it in on the shelves 30 days before the best buy date. So I ended up at Costco and bought the same product for $12.99 with a BB date over a year later. (But it's a major hassle to shop at Costco unless you're buying other items!). Their Simply products are new and great, I've had their pasta and sauces and eggs. Their bread selection is fairly fresh, and the Sourdough Bread fro San Luis is $5.00, over a dollar more at the supers. I like their Orowheat Keto bread, and artisan breads for much cheaper than supers. Milk products which include lactose free milk are all fresh but some of the yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese may have short (less than 1 week) expiration dates. Fruits and vegetables are hit and miss. While plantain bananas are a cheap 99 cents a pound, many of their produce items are not so fresh. But some deals are great, like $2.00 for a cantaloupe or mini watermelon when in season. They have the usual veggies including bagged salads which are fresh and a little cheaper than supers. Meats are also hit and miss but many items are cheaper than supers. However, most of their steaks are not graded (i.s. Choice cuts) and marbling on the steaks are rarely good except for the tougher cuts like tri tip steaks. (brine these in salt overnight and they're good the next day). Lots of chicken, including whole chicken and pork. One thing you'll notice is that it's a rarity that their cashiers - who are mostly young - have the happy chatty cashiers like at Trader Joe's. That's a minor detail They had a management change earlier this year and overall the stocks are much better filled and the store is cleaner.
