Their undercover security was taking photos of me and my children while we were just trying on shoes. When my husband approached him, he claimed they could do so and when we spoke to his manager, he acted as though it was okay for them to do so. We told them we understand they have a job to do but following me and my young children and taking pictures is HIGHLY unprofessional. Stay away from this location. I had a very frustrating experience at this Nordstrom Rack. The checkout line was almost out the door, yet only two cashiers were actively checking out customers. There were two additional staff members at the front registers, but instead of helping with the long line, they were putting away clothes while customers continued to wait. I ended up standing in line for 45 minutes, and there was no sense of urgency from the staff despite how long the line had become. This level of service is unacceptable, especially during busy times. I LOVE the Nordstrom Rack! There is a huge selection of clothing and all at reasonable prices. Your mileage may vary when it comes to quality since some brands are made specifically for the Nordstrom Rack, but sometimes you can find some really great stuff that didn't sell well in the main stores. Be mindful of the labels and whether or not you feel like the price is worth it. Personally if I need to buy something like a suit that'll last for years or whatever, I'd spend a little more money elsewhere with knowledgeable associates who can help me. If I just want something really cute and at a great price I'd just spend an hour in-store at the Rack! Went in specifically for shoes and a belt. Their shoes are sorted by size, so it's very easy to see what your options are. I hate shoe shopping, ESPECIALLY when you love a shoe style and they have it in every size except yours, so I love that all the shoes in your size are organized in this way. Couldn't find shoelaces though. Not entirely sure if they even sell shoelaces, so I regret asking while I was there. There is a Boot Barn in the same plaza, so even if the Nordstrom Rack doesn't carry any you could probably get shoelaces there without having to drive. Prices for their belts are good too. That's all I got to say about the belt selection. I know Volcom and Quiksilver are currently closing, so I guess if I wanna try clothes from those brands I'll have to do it here. Dropped in real quick to check out the ladies hats they had - struck out in the ladies department, but then scored a fun sparkly cap that I can use on the 4th of July! Tried to find something for my hubby - either a new shirt or shorts - and struck out there. Since it's a mish-mash of a bunch of stuff, it's tough to find similar items in different sizes. So he would find a shirt he liked in a size too small for him, but then couldn't find another like it in his size. That was the case for shoes too --- actually, shoes seemed worse. It's just a bunch of of designs, but usually just one - so if you need a bigger or smaller size of a show you try on, chances are you won't find another one like it. But if you do find something you like in your size, consider it a WIN since you can get some nice shoes at a very reasonable price. I do have to add that I was surprised to see the larger sized shoes, which can be extremely hard to find. My boys all have big feet - the largest being 16 1/2 - and we always had a heck of a time finding shoes for them. Some of the paths are super tight and it just feels so cramped in the store - just so much stuff! I don't have a lot of patience going through the ladies clothes - but I do like to look at the purses, sunglasses, jewelry, and shoes. And you can't forget about all the cool stuff to look at for that last impulse purchase while waiting in line at the register. Sometimes I wish the cashiers weren't so fast so that I can have more time to look at all the 'impulse' stuff! I am a Nordstrom Rack LOVER, but every time I visit this location I leave upset. The marking on prices are incorrect, and staff members do not take the time to find the correct items to scan nor do they care. This has happened many times to me, and sometimes I don't notice until I get home. It's really annoying. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!!!! They will take your money and not let you return an item because they have scanned the wrong items. Example(s): - Got a candle that said $8, had a red sticker that said $10. No big deal.. got home and saw they charged me $20 for the WRONG item! Mine was $10! - Grabbed a blanket that said $10, was charged $18 for an item that WASN'T even the blanket. I got charged for a VASE?? Compared it to my Nordstrom app, and saw I was charged for a completely different item. - Grabbed a pan with a lid, they were taped together. Was told that the lid didn't go with the pan? That is fine, but I am mad that they're more careful about losing money than OVER CHARGING ME for WRONG ITEMS. - Earrings said $19.. got charged $25. Nice selection and can usually find a good deal. Problem is the super slow cashiers not sure why it takes so long to get through these lines 20+ minutes waiting for checkout. Then I see 2 registers backed up with a client who has been there for over 15-20 minutes each. I just needed an active sweater and an Asian employee stopped me midway into the dressing room and almost touched me to see how many items I had which were ONLY TWO items. I would like to add that the other employee who was also working in the dressing room had already checked how many items I had and gave me a #2 slip for my items. I do not like being touched or be checked as if I am going to steal something when they had already verified how many items I had. This comment is about buying from the Nordstrom Rack website....DO NOT DO IT! I got sent a damaged item (it came with a 4" slice as if from a boxcutter, probably from the warehouse). Website does not offer ability to do an exchange and be sent an undamaged item, you have to return and repurchase. To send it back you need to pay return shipping... even for a damaged item they sent! I brought it to a store near me (this store) and they refunded me the purchase price less the $8 shipping charge! I was told it was policy not to refund shipping even on damaged items. So I'm out $8 for buying a damaged item from them. read more

Mainly reviewing for order pick up, but the store does have a pretty good selection and might feel kind of hectic during the weekends especially with the crowds of people. Really impressed with all the representatives that approached me to ask if I needed help when I was waiting at the front, as there was a person at the door that initially took down my name for my order pick up followed by two other associates that asked if I had been helped. Some of the hectic-ness comes from the fact that there's only one line open to feed into all the registers and the same line is used for returns, even though there's clearly a return section of the store. I saw a good amount of frustrated customers approach the return section only to be turned away and asked to line up in the regular customer line, which would frustrate me as well. However, as far as pick ups go, it's real simple and the lady who helped me at the entrance pulled my order and another customers order in about 5 minutes. I give props to have enough staff but the organization of the store in terms of operations may leave people annoyed, as I personally did not even want to try on the shoes I had ordered for pick up because there was no way I would wait in the enormous return line. Not a bad store, just could have better signs for returns and more organized lines for customers. read more

This location has a smaller selection of shoes (female&male) than their metro point location. However, less people shop here. I've chanced on some nice shoes. I usually shop for my RVCA stuff here. As for infant/toddler (male), the selection is lacking. Wish this location carried more merchandise. Best thing is lots of parking here. read more

I saw in another review that this location is understaffed and that would explain why it took a painfully long time for us to check out last night... but also, it was excruciating to watch a woman at one of the two available registers literally shop WHILE she was checking out, holding up the entire line for about 10-15 minutes, as the cashier looked on. During this process, another cash register opened up, but each one was entirely too slow. I don't know if it's training or fatigue, but it was too bad that the check out process took so long. I wouldn't recommend it for holiday shopping for this reason alone. At the very least, the cashier could have told the woman to step aside so she could check other people out. On the plus side, you can still find somewhat of a deal at The Rack if you're willing to spend the time searching. I found a cute faux suede jacket for under $30. But if you're looking for larger sizes, you're out of luck. There are hardly any to be seen throughout the entire store. read more

I've never left a review for a department store, but I've got to say the customer service and selection is terrible. The employees (specifically Dax I believe his name is with the curly turquoise hair) seem miserable every single time. I understand we all have our days, which is why I never wrote this sooner, but it's very apparent he must hate his job because every time I approach his line there's no greeting, speaks so fast I can barely understand what he's saying, and god forbid I ask any questions. Always has a poor attitude, and I am not a Karen by any means and I'm always polite to service/retail workers. I dread even going because of the lines no matter what time a day (I usually come midweek, too) and the unfriendly staff. Clothing selection is subpar and I will drive out of my way from here on out to avoid this rack. I have low standards for retail so it says a lot I'm even leaving this review. read more

4/13/22 Tustin, CA store location I needed new work clothes for a meeting, normally I work from home but was asked to come in. Due to a back injury and inactivity nothing fits so I went to the Rack. Pretty crappy when you shop for 40 minutes picking out clothes then get to the 10 feet from thr dressing room at 8:47pm only to be shouted at that they closed the dressing room early because the store closes at 9pm. No apology either. I literally could have tried on the 3 items I'd picked in 5 min or less. I dropped the items at the front desk and explained and all they said was... ok so these are go backs? Complete waste of my time and terrible way to treat a customer. I will never shop this location again! If this is indeed your policy, you should do yourselves a favor and tell your customers as they walk in and announce it like other stores do as a courtesy. read more

I was looking for sandals to wear outdoors but didn't find what I wanted. I bought a pair of cole Haan shoes and I wore them for less then 4 times, the shoes ripped the (detached) from the left side and went to the store to see what they can do for me, they told me can't do anything because i wore them. How can you justify paying $80 dollars for shoes and they get ripped in a few days of used. I did not abused the shoes or anything. I always hope that the next time would better than the last. But this location partially is so depressing after. Your supposed to feel great after some retail therapy but this location will leave you sadder than when you walked in. I think it's time for me to call it quits on shopping with them. As a former retail manager, I can confidently say the management of this location sets the overall negativity this store often reflects. Amongst the several bad moments I've experienced in this location, last Friday took the cake. Mind you, I continuously chose to shop here because it's closest to my home and I value my TIME. The associates here are miserable, the lines are ridiculously long and last Friday I overheard a manager verbally gaslighting her employees. She clearly saw there was a long line, rudely interrupted my conversation with the person assisting me and proceeded to wander off and micro manage every employee - INSTEAD OF ATTENDING TO ACTUAL BUSINESS (IE HOP ON THE DAMN REGISTER and bring down the line to properly ASSIST YOUR CUSTOMERS). It shouldn't take a negative customer review for your management to understand BASIC customer service etiquette. The fact that I'm even writing this reflects how poorly this business is run. Which directly affects the reputation that Nordstrom blindly claims about having the "best customer service". Nordstrom - you do NOT reflect your company mantra because you have an endless pool of tainted management and employee who don't do their job. Don't bother inserting how sorry you are under my review. Use that time to be proactive, because your business won't thrive on fluffy yelp apologies. Take these reviews and actually DO something to BE BETTER. After all, your customers (that are waiting average 30 minutes in line each visit) are the backbone of your payroll. read more
