Had a good time exploring this TJ Maxx/HomeGoods location after a nearby hike with my friend. This was my first time seeing a dedicated designer dress rack immediately upon entering, along with overstock Valentino and Marc Jacobs handbags. Definitely a location to come to if you're looking to snag a deal on name brands! Being the bookworm I am, I really enjoyed the many choices of Lifelines gel pens, craft kits, and reads in store. That said, someone had managed to spill something sticky over the stationery section, which made it a bit of a pain to handle items there. I was able to ask for a discount on a boxed set since components listed on the packaging were missing. There is a sizable fitness section towards the middle of the store, if you're looking to bulk up your home gym or practice (pun intended). Generally speaking, TJ Maxx/clothes/beauty is on the left when you enter and HomeGoods/decor/furniture is on the right. It's a combined line though, and I don't know why but it's the most brightly lit I've ever seen a checkout. Overall would give 4 for selection, but would rank a 3 on condition based on what I mentioned before. read more

There is a lot of mixed reviews for this place but you do need to understand how to shop at discount stores to get good deals and avoid bad distractions. This place is massive, TJ Maxx and home goods combined with some high end designer clothes. It's crowded, the lines are long, and parking sucks at lunch times and probably after work, be prepared. Know what the numbers mean on the tags to avoid clothes made for TJ max and find the discounts on real brand deals. This place does have some great deals if you can avoid the distractions. They have a ton of purses and luggage too if you have time to dig. The home goods section is huge too! It is over filled so you do have to be cautious and avoid breaking stuff. Make sure all items are in tact before leaving. Overall same as any other location. The line can get long. Even when they have a lot of staff you'll wait 15-30 minutes to check out, avoid lunch time to shop if you're in a rush. I've found some good stuff here, I like to shop for little gifts for people and I'll definitely be back. read more

This location is HUGE! It was a Thursday afternoon and the check-out line was LONG. I ended up just leaving because it was crowded and long line! There were so many items on display and overflow with stuff. Customers walking around with shopping carts filled with stuff on every aisle. I thought it was Black Friday! lol Parking: another nightmare. It was hard to find parking becuase it was full! It's located inside a shopping plaza with Whole Foods and Michael's. I don't know if I want to come back here but if I do, it has to be at Open first thing in the morning to avoid crowds! read more

Still one of my favorite Homegoods/TJ Maxx locations! Firstly, it's massive, with tons of inventory. Considering how heavy their traffic is throughout the day, it's pretty well maintained and clean. They have a ton of items on sale. Their Homegoods section is always packed with tons of cute merch. They have some great sale items within both their homegoods and clothing sections. Their employees are all super friendly, especially their cashiers (which is a big plus given they are notorious for having super long lines at all times) so kudos to their cashiers for being able o keep a good attitude! read more

TJ Maxx is probably my favorite out of the retailers like Ross, Burlington, and Marshall's. The store that I have frequented mostly has been a standalone one without a HomeGoods within it. This combo store is at the District in Tustin. Lots of parking available shared with other retailers. Depending what you are looking for, there are great deals! I like the snacks section within HomeGoods as well as the Bath and Body section. When the hubby and I visited, it was a Sunday morning shortly after opening. So the store was clean and organized. We did not need any assistance on sales floor. The line to get to the counter was a just a few minutes or so of waiting. Cashier was efficient and kind. Easy 4 stars. We would be back whenever in this area again. read more

I've been to combo TJMs and homegoods all over the country and honestly this is one of my favorite locations. I found so many cool items during my last visit and a lot of things I was actually looking for. I think the best way to shop here is have an idea of what you are looking for but also let the store tell you what you want. Overall I had a great gift haul for the holidays and upcoming birthdays for family/friends. Lines will look long but usually go quite quickly. Now listen... I have been to more TJ Maxx/Home Goods/Marshalls than I can even count. I am a super fan. And they are known for having big checkout lines- but I have NEVER seen one like this before. It wrapped quite literally throughout the store. It was hard to even get around the aisles with the line in the way. My sister was with me and she warned me about the line (so this is a regular thing), but I thought there was no way it could be that bad. They do have a big selection so if you're able to wait.... November's here, which means it's time to switch out the pumpkin decorations and replace it with Christmas ones! When you first walk in, you'll be greeted with the TJ Maxx side, but if you walk over towards the back or the right side, you'll enter the HomeGoods side. They had a lot of Christmas stuff out already, so it was really fun to peruse through and look at everything. Surprisingly, there was a lot of space in this location, for it being a combo of two stores. I ended up getting a Christmas blanket, some jars, and Christmas dinner mats. The prices felt reasonable here, although there were some things that were a bit more on the pricey side. While the combo store is pretty neat to check out, I think I prefer the standalone HomeGoods store a bit more for the variety. read more

This store has the worst customer service. Even the managers lack any type of training. BEWARE they are really strict with their return/exchange policy, even with a receipt and within the time frame. They will NOT take back any seasonal or holiday items. Don't waste your time here and go to a different store nearby. read more

They always have such a wide selection of home décor, kitchenware, and seasonal items, and everything feels fresh and up to date with new arrivals all the time. You can easily find something unique for every room. The only downside is parking, it's often packed, and getting a spot can be a challenge. I frequent tj maxx a lot and I can say this is the worst tj maxi i've ever been to. So many registers and not enough staff to fill them. The line always extends back to the kitchen supplies and seasonal decorations but yet they still only have like 3 or 4 registers going. It's like that every single time i visit this location and nothing ever changes. It's important to assess the line and determine whether or not more back up is needed at the register. I get it they might not have enough staff, but hiring more sales associates is not a bad idea. read more

While in Irvine, my SIL wanted to stop by HomeGoods and we made our drive here to see what was good for the home and I was so disappointed. It was really the first time I walked out empty handed. The Bad: * It was nearly 5:00pm on a Sunday but the checkout line was a thousand miles long. The last time I saw a line that long was during the holidays. I saw the people and was already wondering if anything I end up finding would be worth the wait in line. * The store was a mess. It was very unorganized. I wanted to find a mug but I couldn't figure out exactly where to look because there was literally a few mugs in every other aisle. It was pretty much all over the place so I just stopped looking. * Products - or the lack of. There really wasn't much selections of anything. Most of things on display were either Easter items or Clearance / damaged items most likely from the holiday customer returns. The Good: * If you're into Korean cosmetics or skin care, they have plenty to choose from here. Their cosmetics and skin care section is bigger than the sleepwear department. My daughters would've loved shopping here. *My SIL bought a side table she loved on clearance for $99. She left as one happy shopper. My shopping experience was a 5/10 - will probably skip coming here next time. read more

We've been loyal TJ Maxx customers for many years. Yesterday, my friend was waiting for a younger couple to leave the skincare section so she could browse. After they left, an older Vietnamese lady with short white hair was rearranging things. My friend started to browse and the lady said in a loud voice "PUT THEM IN ORDER!" Friend goes "Excuse me, are you talking to me? I only just got here". Older lady replies "YES! YOU'VE BEEN HERE 10 MINUTES!". Older lady wouldn't show her name tag and refused to despite that we were gong to report her to the manager. We did anyway but manager was on her side. Seems to be definitely a systemic problem with management at this store. On the way out, another customer commented "She does this all the time, she's terrible! You should report her". read more

Day manager on 10/2 at 11am should be better scheduling and organizing their employees. Workers were slow and lazy. I'm sure they are nice and good people but just beyond lax with getting a long line moving. Talking and joking behind the counter. 3 people on register with the line wrapped around the store once I finally got to the front. Trapped in line for 30 min (which I'd gladly have left if I could get out) with a cart and a crying baby who needed a diaper change for one return. An Asian gal was helping me with no name tag. I very kindly mentioned it was a longer wait than usual and was surprised to see only 3 people on register. I was probably more flustered because I had a screaming child but everyone in line was very frustrated and confused. But she just asked me to take my receipt and go. It was apparent she didn't really care and said "it's just the way it is". Please have a return line at this store. read more

4 people behind the counter, all of the women was having conversations with one another, not paying attention to the customers in line, so I walked up to the ONLY cashier (16) that was lit and was told that she can't help me but someone else can... meanwhile, the cashier couldn't login... two other ladies, said we needed to be called up in order for them to help... well shit, pay attention to customers in line, be ready and waiting to help. The HomeGoods stores are pretty much my furniture & carpet needs first hits. They have the largest section for the home compared to the regular TJMAXX. Lots of very unique finds at crazy cheap prices, but you can also shop bath & body, clothing, shoes, electronics, art, and delicious snacks all under one roof. Today I came across organic marmalade's in 3 flavors. I had to get me one of those! read more

We found way more things that we had hoped for and walked out spending way more than we were expecting, but it was ok. It was well worth it. This store is a 45+ minutes drive for me, so I only come here when I have other errands nearby. During my first visit here, I loved the selection, line wasnt too long and bought a cart full. I told all my friends that it was worth the drive. Every visit thereafter though, the store has been disorganized, only found 1-2 things and the checkout line went all the way to the back of the store and then some, during the middle of the weekday! I can't imagine this place on a weekend. On 2-3 occasions, I've just walked in & walked right out because I don't have time to wait 30+ minutes to check out. read more

Could have been an easy fix if they just talked to the cashier, but no, they decided to humiliate us for over an hour hoping to force us to leave. Today I brought a product that was bought at another branch and it was broken. The first question was, how come you didn't notice it right away? They said that they wouldn't accept anything and that I had to go to the location where the product was bought. But that's not the question. Then a senior employee came up to me and started talking to me very assertively, didn't show any sympathy with this problem at all, I had a feeling that they just wanted to kick me out. Teach your employees to communicate correctly with customers and convey their opinion correctly without aggression. Or at least pretend that you want to help and not put pressure on the client. read more

I'm leaving this review because I was at TJ Maxx today and at check out as I was returning some stuff I had to dig through like 30 receipts and I couldn't find the one that pertained to my return. This nice Asian man I believe his name was Alexandre asked to help me find it and he did! Has an interior designer I'm constantly shopping here for my clients and I have to say Alex did not need to offer his help and he did and I'm truly grateful! I received a gift but couldn't exchange it for a similar item because the tag said "TJ Maxx." They wouldn't accept the return because their system doesn't allow it, even though the signage throughout the store clearly states "TJ Maxx" and "HomeGoods." I was able to return a TJ Maxx item with a receipt, which also didn't make sense. The management agreed that the policy was ridiculous but wouldn't provide any further assistance. read more

TJ Maxx/Homegoods is the kind of place suburban adults would call Disneyland. The place is well stocked with seasonal clothing, decorations, furniture, glassware, stationary, toys, etc. it's the perfect one stop shop for cute items to buy for yourself or offer as a gift. Lines can get long but they move quickly due to the diligent employees. Now with every type of department store there is a little bit of a mess but this location is well organized and often clean. I don't get the cluttered feeling like when I visit other department stores like Ross, Marshall's, etc. The gigantic size of this place helps but be prepared to be there for a while. It's worth it. In terms of the value, the price point is similar to Marshall's and is often cheaper if not the same price as Target but with more options to choose from. Stop by and take a look! read more
