OMG this store has quickly become one of my favorite places! They have everything! Most of the store is $5 and below (hence the name) with some items that are a little more expensive like headphones, etc. I have found lots of things for work, my car, really any time I need something random. I'm on the go a lot, so I have found lots of things here I didnt even know I needed. They even have gym equipment and an electronic section. There's also a beauty section full of dupes for more expensive products like perfumes, makeup, skin care, and body care. The food aisle are really fun to browse through. They have lots of rare and hard to find snacks. They also have a lot of seasonal items and things that would be great for a last minute gift. They even have a ton of interesting books to choose from. You do need to keep track of what you're spending though, because even though most items are $5, it can add up quickly. read more

Never been. Thought I would check it out. Lots of young shoppers. Clean place, lots of cheap/affordable make ups and things for students etc. I saw a beautiful handwoven colorful rug for $7 but I didn't need it. It's your own check out process and there was a nice lady who helped the younger shopper. It's not where I would shop but if I need some pool floaties or goodies for a teenager or younger, this is a good spot. read more

I am a public school teacher who has to purchase classroom prizes out of my own pocket, & Five Below generally has a decent selection. However, when I went to purchase four of these foam dart guns, which are very clearly marked $1, they rang up as $2 on the register. I asked the cashier to override it to honor the price & she said she was unable to & called over the shift manager, who also said they were unable to. It seems to me that is very poor customer service & improper business procedure to advertise one price & then not honor it. If Five Below feels that they need to shortchange public servants in order to conduct business, then I suppose they don't really deserve our patronage any longer. read more

I got 3 ear piercings here last weekend! I saw it on tik tok that it was super cheap so I thought I would try it out. I had a great experience. I am usually sensitive to pain but it really didn't hurt at all. The guy who did it was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. He was also very careful and we made sure that the piercing positions were perfect before they were pierced. Highly recommend for ear piercings! They have a great supply of random things from art, school supplies, home, games, candy, books, etc. I went here to buy some christmas gifts and a board game of chess for $5. Everything is around $5 which I love. So helpful for when you have young ones you are baby sitting and need to find cool activities to do. Self checkout here accepts apple pay! Which is a must. Five Below is right next to Northgate Market. We've never been to a store where everything is marked under $5. There are actually some interesting finds here. They have toys, art supplies, Funkos, Mini Food Brands, Squishmellows, board games, beauty products, bags, clothing, just like a 99 cents or Daiso. But everything is just a little bit more upscale due to the $5 price mark. There are products that's over $5 but that's in the electronics section ... something the other discount stores generally don't have. I actually found a few items for under $5 that I normally see for $10 elsewhere. It really is a cool treasure trove of goodies. This store's concept is quite unique and the service was very friendly. I almost walked out with a hoola hoop because I was carrying it on my shoulders. The store clerk quickly helped me use another register to check out so I didn't have to restart my initial transaction. I would definitely return to this store. read more

I used to be a 5/5 star customer. I would genuinely enjoy shopping here. But after placing my first pick up online order i will NO longer be shopping here. To start off I got no email confirmation (BUT MY PAYMENT WENT THROUGH AND MONEY WAS TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT) I then after hours decided to go to the store where at first I was received by a lovely young lady who was quickly interrupted by a condescending individual that interrupted us mid conversation. This person should be fired by the way he speaks to his paying customers and coworkers who are actually trying to help. After showing I paid for two items he insisted on that I only paid for one. I stopped in to grab a phone charging cord and 30 minutes later. I was at the checkout and it was $80. Mina and Mike were amazing!! They were friendly and pleasant and very helpful.. I ended up buying my charging cords, along with a bunch of stuff for my dog!! The prices are great and the selection of items is amazing!! Ok prices. It was right next to the Northgate market, which I do love that store. The prices here were ok, but I found a few things to be expired. I felt they had a good selection to choose from, and the service was good. I enjoyed the experience and would come back. Saturday Nov. 2nd just before 11am manager on duty needs to be spoken to. Unfortunately didn't get his name. I was in the store shopping for about 10 minutes before I walked to the back to try and use the restroom. The manager saw me and told me the bathrooms were closed and to go to the next store over to Tj Maxx. I simply walked up to another employee and asked him if customers weren't allowed to use the public restrooms. He replied of course, I'll unlock it for you. I even told him that someone else had just told me I wasn't allowed to use the restroom in case he was going to get in trouble for unlocking it for me and he just looked confused and continued to unlock the door for me. I quickly used the restroom and walked out and to my surprise the manager (the first employee to tell me the bathrooms were closed) was there, appalled, and said "they unlocked the restrooms for you?!" I calmly replied to him and told him yes another employee unlocked the restroom for me...that I thought it was strange he would direct me to a different store that I wasn't shopping at to use their restroom. He told me "well we don't unlock the restrooms at all anymore" I didn't argue I just walked away and went to yet another employee asking if there was someone above the manager on duty I could speak to or contact via phone or email. As he was answering me and telling me there wasn't any way of contacting someone else, the manager hurries up to us and asks me if I had a question. I said I had already asked his employee but thank you. I walked away again. After a moment of walking around I decided I didn't want to give this location my business unfortunately. So I left. But it doesn't end there!!!! Unbelievable. As I'm standing OUTSIDE of the front doors the manager then comes after me and tells me I made him uncomfortable(????) EXCUSE ME? He proceeds to stand outside and make a scene giving me one excuse after another telling me he needed to clean the bathrooms before letting customers in... so I asked him why he told me beforehand that they don't unlock the restrooms at all anymore for customers and he said he just needs to clean it and he's embarrassed I used a dirty restroom. (Wasn't dirty just not fully stocked) he tells me he didn't have enough coverage to clean it yet and he's busy getting the store ready and he's a new manager still learning and I mean just one excuse after another. I told him I'm a business manager myself and the way he approached the situation was completely uncalled for. He then asks me why I come into this five below asking these questions and accusing me of I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT! I said what are you talking about I didn't ask anything but to use your restroom. Then he tries to ask me where I am a manager. I don't need to answer to him. I've been a general manager for years and I told him he has a lot to learn. If you're short staffed you don't use that as an excuse to customers... you come in earlier to take 15 minutes to clean your restrooms for your paying customers to be able to use it during open business hours. You open at 10am and I was there at 11am and you're telling me your restrooms aren't open during your business hours or even clean during business hours for that matter. Example: You don't walk into a restaurant an hour before they close and they tell you "you can order drinks but our kitchen is closed and you can't order food" but they're open for another hour???? SAME ANALOGY! I told him as a person of an important position he should be digressing the situation while he's on the clock no matter how uncomfortable he might be. That's your job as a manager. Not to escalate the problem. And the way he argued with me, gave me lies and excuses, interrupted his other employee and I, THEN FOLLOWED ME OUTSIDE AS I WAS LEAVING TO TRY AND TELL ME I MADE HIM UNCOMFORTABLE?! I'm seriously at a loss for words and would appreciate SOME kind of feedback from the district manager, the area director, HR, the owner, someone. This is seriously unacceptable behavior and totally unprofessional especially for a "manager". P.S. he also had bleached hair. read more

Everything is cheap but that is what makes this place great. They have a lot of stuff, different stuff like shoes, candy and toys. What makes this place better than the crappy 99 Cents store down the street is it is very clean, there are employees that actually want to help you and the stuff they're selling is not total crap because it's not $.99 Most everything here is $5.00 so you actually get stuff thats cheap but is a little better then the stuff you get at the $1.00 store. read more

This place is just okay. It's so small it doesn't have a huge selection. I do have one major issue with the store and that is the fact it sells "smudging/cleansing" kits with white sage in them. White sage is a CLOSED PRACTICE meant for Indigenous people ONLY. (Unless an Indigenous person gifts you said sage, obviously.) There are smudging products that are open such as rosemary. Made black customers hand him and the trainee their items to scan at self checkout but let other customers use the self checkout themselves. Also talked to trainee in a rude manner. Decent selection of items but not worth it to come here because of that behavior. read more
