Daiso is such a great spot for picking up household essentials, at a pretty affordable price! They have really unique gadgets sometimes that you wouldn't think you need, until you saw it. I came here to look for some shabu sauce plates, the one with the three sections. I ended up finding the perfect ones here, and for the amount I needed. Since this location is located inside of Mitsuwa, it's more limited on items they sell. A stand alone Daiso is usually filled with aisles and aisles of product, while this one only had a few aisles. There's a self checkout at this location, but you can still get helped by someone at the front to wrap any fragile items. The lady who helped us was super sweet, and reminded us of the amazing service from our Japan trip. read more

Maybe after traveling so many times to Japan, I have been missing it so much that I randomly ended up coming to Daiso. This one is located in the city of Costa Mesa and is inside the Mitsuwa Supermarket. Parking can sometimes be a hassle but it is well worth it. There are plenty of things and food to buy in this plaza. This location is quite organized and they also have Hello Kitty items which I ended up buying today. I didn't need anything from the store, I was just browsing but ended up with a handful of items by the end of it! I purchased a Hello Kitty sink holder for your sponges, a Hello Kitty cream pod to store your moisturizers while traveling, a sturdy kitchen sponge, and a pack of 50 straws to have while on the road or traveling. Wow the cutest tucked away daiso! You can only enter from inside the marketplace. I came here with the intention of buying a cute notebook and left with buying so many other things! Other groceries shops and stores offer the products at such an increased rate. I found a rice paddle for $1.75 and yoga mat + yoga block for $11! On Amazon the yoga mats would have been at least $25. I'm so happy I came because the store is so clean and neat. I really want to come back to try the Japanese food offer in their food court. Decent location! Compared to other Daiso locations, they didn't have many of the items that we needed. They also did have certain items that we needed that other Daisos don't. The place itself is pretty small, but the aisles weren't too squished. Prices were aligned with all of the other locations. The workers there were nice and helped us find stuff. Came here after shopping at Mitsuwa Market. Store is smaller than others that I've been to but it's clean and I found a few items that weren't at the other stores. They didn't have the chopstick rest so I just bought the chopsticks with the rest that comes along with them. Still not bad for $1.75 each. The lady employee there was helpful showing me where I could find items and she rung me up as well. She's very friendly. When I go shopping at Mitsuwa, we'll definite come here again. read more

This Daiso is located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. It's a tiny store in comparison to other locations with a much smaller inventory on the shelves. But you'll find the same variety of items at $1.50 (and the cheery sounds of Japanese pop music piped through the sound system) as you would in any of the other locations. And although Daiso seems to carry the same items no matter what store you visit, I am certain I found things here that I hadn't seen elsewhere. The store is very tidy and organized. Located in Mitsuwa marketplace, this place is a little gem filled with hidden treasures at amazing prices! Found way too many things I probably didn't even need, but YOLO! I had so much fun perusing through all the aisles and picking through trinkets and goodies. Their snacks are a little on the pricier side, definitely found them cheaper outside in Mitsuwa. All in all, a fun trip since we don't have one near us so this was a rare treat! read more

Super cute small store located inside the market. Great place to stop by while you're waiting for your food from the food court or after finishing your grocery shopping. They also sell drinks and snacks at lower prices than the market. Be careful, because you will definitely walk out with more than you came in for! (Not a bad thing) but they have a little bit of everything. Ceramic bowls, pans and baking goods, stationery, gardening, tools, sewing, pet items, sandals and lots of other stuff starting at $1.50. Knocked off a star bc this place used to be so stocked with all sorts of awesome stuff, but lately there are a lot of empty spots on the shelves and a lesser variety in general. The staff is friendly and the store is very easy to find inside of the center. Parking can be a bit tough but not impossible. read more

My favorite Daiso in OC! It's located inside the Mitsuwa right next to Mai Do. The store is impeccably clean, well lit, and very organized. It is a little on the smaller side but the amount of products they have certainly makes the store seem so big. The staff is very friendly. It's also located right next to the Mitsuwa food court, and is the perfect stop after eating a meal. read more

This Daiso is located inside the Mitsuwa market. Definitely smaller than other Daiso's that I've been to. They didn't have the kitchen organizers that I wanted along with a few other things that I've gotten from another Daiso. Overall, well organized. 3 stars is because a particular staff working there (asian male with glasses) was rude. Didn't greet us at all. Bags are usually offered at other Daiso locations but this guy didn't even bother asking us if we wanted any and just pushed the stuff at us after we paid. My past experience with Daiso had been all right until what happened today. I bought an alarm o'clock with the price of $4.00 on 6/30/19, and it wasn't working right from the very beginning. To make sure it was not the problems of the batteries, I had replaced several ones and the time ended up more and more off. This Daiso location is far away from where I live, so that I only visit it once in a while, which was today 8/11/19, when I visited again to see if I could do anything about it. Contrary to my expectations, it was quite a humiliating experience. I might not have been at the most righteous position since waiting so long to go back, but please allow me to ask WHO HAS THE ORIGINAL AND INITIAL PROBLEM!! I did not want to spend $4 buying something defected. Nobody would have wanted that, right? I wasn't asking for a refund, only a chance to exchange for another alarm o'clock. Furthermore, I would have accepted the explanation if you could have said it in a nice way that it had passed the point of time for exchanging. Until then, it was not the issue of money anymore. I don't care for the loss of 4 dollars. It is the humiliation, the insult and the disrespect you showed your customers that maddened me the most. Like I said before I stepped out of the store, I will never visit Daiso Japan at Mitsuwa again. The tone of ridicule in the "goodbye" the staff said after me is still ringing in my ear. read more
