Unbelievable. I was returning a sandals but didn't have the barcode anymore since my husband was the one who removed it but have the receipt. The sandals were two different sizes (6 & 7 1/2) attached together and that's the reason why I am returning it (unused). The lady told me they cannot accept it because there is no barcode. I told her just give me the other size correct so that I can at least be able to use them but she refused. It's crazy because if there's no barcode, you cannot return , what's the point of having good customer service. Just sad that I have to throw them away now. Such a waste of time and money ... will definitely not come back here anymore. read more

Make sure you check that you received all your purchased items before leaving! Alma didn't give me one of my bags and I didn't realize until I got home. Called and they told me they had it and because I live 30 mins away I told them I will come back the next day. Came back the next day and it's no where to be found. read more

Came in around 930 because I needed to return a t-shirt. Usually I take a lap around in case I need anything. I gathered my items and went to the checkout line. The customer ahead of me had given the man at the register some attitude so I wanted to approach with a smile and how are you... unfortunately, I still received an attitude. I had taken the tags off the tshirt but had included them and everything was in pristine condition. The man rudely says no tag on, no return. I say 'Okay, I understand policy.' and proceed to pull items out to purchase. He then rudely tells me 'No, we don't take personal item (bra set) returns' in a very rude way. I was already feeling anxious and I was taken aback. So, I say 'I'm trying to purchase these'. He them goes to say 'Oh, okay'. I am patiently waiting for him to ring them up and bag the items. He then starts saying how I should come back in the morning when we have a 'Nice' manager who would probably accept the return. I have worked retail over 10 years and I know how easy it is to tag an item with a tagging gun. I don't understand why he was so standoffish and then 'tried' to backtrack. That was ridiculous and I hated the way I felt when I left. Even the 'security' girl had an attitude. Your standards are very low. Do better. read more

BUSINESS OWNER PLEASE I REPEAT TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEE WITH DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MANNERS. I UNDERSTAND NIGHT CREW WANTS TO LEAVE BUT COME ON !! Rushing your guests is not the way to go. Corporate needs to handle this stores employees and the manager Daria or whatever (she mumbled her name) doesn't even correct her employees. Common courtesy should be a requirement when hiring these clowns. This isn't the first time either, so I gave them many opportunities to meet my expectations and it gets worst and worst. Honestly just close your stores at 9 since they're rushing everyone out, threatening to close the registers at 10:30 when they close at 11pm. Worst customer service ever! Get a whole new crew or retrain your managers to manage these uneducated people!!! They treat us customers like we're asking for free stuff. They told me the store was closed. I ran up with my stuff to the front. They all knew I was in the store, I had maybe $100 so things were to buy. The guy's already counting his register at 11:00 on the dot. So that means they lied when they told me the store was closed because they wanted to actually lock the doors at 11:00 instead of serve customers until 11:00. And they're smart asses about it too. I make more than they do in 2 hours then then in a week, yet they're the snobs. Go figure read more

It's been ten long years since my last review. The store name has changed dropping the "Coat Factory" portion that made this store famous for being a great place for coats. They still sell coats, along with almost anything else you can think of at a discount. OK, so at my house, I have one of those puck vacumes that runs all over the house picking up whatever lands on the floor. This version of the machine is non-discriminate when it comes to where it vacumes. We catch it in all sorts of odd places crying because it got stuck. I have to make sure all of the wires and soft throw rugs are picked up before a cleaning session starts. We even had to set the cat's food and water dishes on a cookie baking sheet so the vacume bumps against the sheet instead of messing up the cat food bowl. And this week we noticed that cookie baking sheet was getting pretty shabby looking, so I thought maybe I could pick up a cheap one Burlington. Upon entering the store there was a greeter, and things have changed a bit in department their organization, but still, it's a great place to shop. I found a cookie baking sheet and looking around I also found a Kingart Pro Twin-Tip 24 for $4.99 which is a total steal because on their website this boxset is listed at $29.99, so I got that, too. All in all, it was a pleasant shopping trip. read more

The Santa Ana location on Bristol treats customers like they're CRIMINALS the moment you walk in the door with a Security Guard who stops all customers at the entrance & has you look at the camera before letting you in. Who wants to shop & spend your hard earned money in a store who treats you this way?! It's offensive & demeaning! They say "It's store policy" but other Burlington locations don't do this and Ive been to many. They have lost my business as I won't shop there again! I can go to Ross, Marshall's, Target or Walmart to buy my items. read more

Yelp needs to allow for negative and zero stars for places like Burlington, especially this one! It's pretty extreme to momentarily detain a potential customer all because you can't handle your loss prevention spikes. Instead of making normal people feel like criminals you should just close stores or take your two bit operation to an online only marketplace. I have never been treated like this anywhere and this ugly, pathetic store has nothing of value anyway, workers included. Burlington Santa Ana is nicely spread out with a lot of room and stuff. I come here for the clearance stuff but mainly for food. I can usually find sugar free syrups (for coffee), chia seeds, monkfruit sugar, etc. for much cheaper here. I try not to browse as I know I'll probably buy the whole store. I'm a TJ Maxx/Marshalls fan and Burlington is basically the same stuff but more variety since they have all that space. It's great if you're looking for a gift for someone (everything from toys, shoes, clothes electronics, home decor and gift bags and tissue). This location isn't as crowded so if you want to shop in peace then this is your store. There's plenty of parking and if you get hungry there's an Aldi grocery store next door and a Burger King and Taco Bell in the same lot. read more

2 employees I talked to Shawna and the guy that lets people inside....they were nice, friendly and helpful. However, This location is awful. Low low selection, the racks look like leftovers from a closing sale. AND .....THEY HAVE TO HAVE SPECIAL PROTOCOL due to the homeless. Each person is allowed in one at a time because they have to have a barrier at the front door to keep the homeless out. The fitting room was closed at 11am because the person who covers it "called out". I was told they have no one to cover the fitting room shift. People were trying on there item in the area. In fact, I went to another aisle to try on what I could. I spent my time shopping and now I am unable to try on anything. That's not acceptable. A manager needs to cover the fitting room even if it is for short periods of time or when a customer approaches with the need to try their items on. For me I didn't want to have to bring anything back and be subject to another unhappy experience in this store. When leaving I was approached by a very tall guy in the parking lot who said excuse me, excuse me you have a sec...I said no and shook my head no and he started saying "woolly woolly woolly at me. Scary! They need real security in the front of the door outside to assist in keeping the homeless away and at least be available if a customer needs assistance from being approached just trying to get to their vehicle. Someone needs to be able to witness and report any possible incidents. I only went to Burlington because someone gave me a gift card 2 years ago I decided to use it. Maybe I chose the wrong location but I will never do it again, I'll regift next time. read more

There is really nothing nice or fancy about Burlington, but you can find really great deals. While I don't buy much for myself here, I always find brand name and high quality items for way below retail for my kids as well as items for the home and my husband. Service is ok, the line at check out can get really long, but they try to handle it quickly. The selection is endless, we always spend way too much time here. Best to focus on what you are looking for or just comb the clearance as we do. Best prices for clothing around keeps us coming back here. read more

this place has really good deals when it comes to purchasing items. I came here because I wanted to buy some fresh outfits that seem really nice for the winter time. I also bought some stuff for the upcoming summer as well. I did a little shopping for my little brother and also my little sister also. They had really good pricing on tops and pants. I was even to purchase some shoes from them about 6 months ago and the shoes are still holding up nicely. They have not broken down. I also found a really nice backpack that they had for sale also. All the clothes here are quality and I will be returning as soon as I get my next paycheck read more

It's actually pretty difficult trying to find a warm jacket in the middle of April. I tried the mall, Nordstrom Rack, Loehmanns, Marshall's. Finally, my friend and I decided to hit up Burlington Coat Factory. We even called to ask if they sold coats when all the other stores around the area didn't. Yes, they sold coats. The interior of the store felt a little institutionalized and cold, but I didn't care since I was on a mission. There were at least two long racks of women's jackets. YES! Way better than the 1 circular rack at Nordstorms and the non-existant racks at Loehmann's and Marshall's. I ended up finding a very warm, very stylish black jacket for $30. TOTAL SCORE! I love my new jacket. The ladies at the check out were pretty rude and looked like they wanted to shoot themselves, so that killed the elation a bit. read more

We went there today ( first and last time ever) from the beginning they were harassing us and stalked us every time we went somewhere they called over the loudspeaker "security scan section 1 clearly meant on to us ( no customer in the store) after the 10th time I went to complain to the manager and she gave me the racial slur: if you don't like it go back to your country! I told her she should study the law and we went out even than the manager and employees harassed and followed us the whole time! Avoid this place like the plague! I like shopping at Burlington. However this location lacks variety. I went this past weekend and had a bad experience. My cashier TOBI was so RUDE!! HEe was laughing and talking and as soon as it was my turn to go pay he ROLLED his eyes at me. And didnt greet me, mind you i said "hi, hows it going?" I made another attempt to be polite. And said "pretty slow today?" And got IGNORED! As soon as i was done paying he turned and starts laughing with a coworker. Quick trip in to get some cologne as I ran out, easily found on a table upon entering with a bunch of gift sets. I didn't get a chance to roam the rest of the store due to being in a hurry on my lunch hour, but the store looked really clean and inviting. I wish I could say the same for the cashiers up front. Two young men who were far from nice and seemed to be bothered by all the guests in line (I was fortunate enough to have been #4). The cashier who helped me did not even greet me, nor thank me for my purchase, and seemed to be more interested in chatting with the other cashier. I highly prefer this location to the one much closer to my house in Garden Grove. It just seems more large, clean, and organized. Burlington is NOT just for coats though they do have them in abundance. When you go to places like this, Ross, and others, you have to be prepared to bargain hunt and to pick out the damaged and undesirables. Let's face it, the merchandise here is not always in pristine condition but you can spot some diamonds in the rough if you're willing to look around. Their items are very ecclectic at times but you never know when you'll find something you like. My advice: keep an open mind and try to enjoy the low prices. read more
