Rather than handling the situation professionally or showing any empathy, she made the entire interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. In the end, I had to settle for store credit because she was unwilling to work with me. A good manager should know how to de-escalate situations, listen to customers, and lead by example. Unfortunately, this manager did the opposite. Her communication, attitude, and overall approach to customer service left a very negative impression. I shop at TJ Maxx often, but after this experience at the Fountain Valley location, I'll think twice before returning.
