I am a Veteran‍ Today I was shopping for frames, specifically for an important document/certificate. Not only did the Manager Michelle help me out to my vehicle and help me load the frames, but she managed to find me 30 minutes later in a local Panera Bread, because I left those important documents inside the store. I had no idea. I am so great full for people like that. Excellent leadership

Their in-store/curbside pickup service needs serious work. I placed an order of 10 items yesterday at 11:15AM to pick up in store. The confirmation email said the order would be ready within 2 hours and I would receive both a text and an email to notify me when the order was ready. I hadn't heard anything by 3:30, so I tried to call the store and see what was going on. Wouldn't you know, this location either disconnected their number or never set it up in the first place. When I selected the "speak to a team member" option, an automated voice said "goodbye" and the line went dead. Awesome. When I drove to the store at 4PM, the order still wasn't ready and the employee had no idea what was going on. "Are the items in stock?" I asked. "If something is out of stock and that's why it hasn't been fulfilled please tell me while I'm here so I can switch it out for something else." She repeated she didn't know what was delaying my order and wasn't sure when it would be ready. I left and called the corporate number to see if THEY could tell me why the order was taking so long. The woman I spoke to put me on a short hold and when she came back on the line she said it would be ready soon. Sure enough, I got a text 10 minutes later telling me my order was ready. Gee. Thanks. By then I was already home and decided I would pick up the order today instead. At 9AM this morning, more than 12 HOURS after getting a text telling me my order was ready for pick-up, I received an e-mail from Michael's saying 3 items were out of stock and they'd be issuing a refund. So...you told me the order was ready even though items were out of stock? What a complete and utter waste of time. Horrible experience dealing with them online or over the phone...you should shop in-store ONLY, and even that I can't recommend.

Ugh. The girls who used to work here were the absolute WORST! They were SOOOO rude! Thankfully, as of lately, it seems they have replaced the rude girls with some nicer ones. Unfortunately, they still have a bit to learn... I went in to buy a fake pumpkin after Halloween (so they were on clearance already) but the pumpkin I chose (it was the very last one of the one I wanted) had a broken stem, so I asked for an extra discount instead of the clearance discount price of $20. They said that they couldn't do it. The manager certainty can do that! I used to work at Michaels! Lol. But it's ok, I just said, "Oh, then I won't get it, thanks though." Sale lost and I'm sure that pumpkin ended up in the trash. Really unfortunate.

Michaels Store#5141 My name is Patrick. June 2023, I brought a picture back to your store that I had custom framed at your Santa Ana location. I was Not happy with the outcome of the way the frame looked. Salesperson Jen was working in the framing department that day. I explained how unhappy I was and she helped me to work on an alternative that would better fit my needs. What I admire most, is how professional and knowledgeable she was. Jen answered all my questions and took her time to explain quality and cost. As a result, I am pleased and very happy with my picture. I want to thank Jen and your staff for an outstanding job. Thank You Patrick

I came in today Sunday 04/24/22 just going in to buy some essentials for myself and I suddenly seen the Cricut maker and asked how much did it go for blah blah blah etc.... I was helped by JACKIE. She was so good to me. Jackie answered some of my questions as best as she could, from what she knew. I was there for like an hour lol. Jackie, thank you for your help!! You're super nice, and super understanding. Thank you, Jackie.

Clearance, a sale, and 25% off entire purchase? Show me the yarn aisle, honey!

I've had my ups and downs shopping here over the past year. My irritability with their computerized inventory vs. store availability is legendary. Since the reopening in June, though, service at the store level had improved to the point I was happy about shopping here. Until right now. Three weeks ago I purchased a quantity of clearance yarn, most of which came down to 50% off or thereabouts. Pre-pandemic coupon prices, basically. I was quite pleased to find a skein of Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn in the Walnut Tweed color for $1.97. Good deal and perfect for a hat project. I pulled off the band to reveal a used skein; yarn hand-wrapped tightly around the machine-wrapped yarn...and riddled with the prior user's perfume. Not cool, you guys. I'm one of those people with sensory sensitivity. I'd gladly pay the regular price for a fresh, unused skein, which is what I thought they'd sold me. If your management is going to pull this trick, the least you could do would be to create a sticker warning people it's been pre-used and returned. Caveat emptor! I'd planned to stop in this weekend and check the rest of the clearance stock; now I'm skeptical and don't especially want to go.

If you isolate the stationery section of a Kinokuniya Bookstore, then you get Mai Do. There is a two-story Mai Do in Japantown San Francisco and another location in San Jose. [Parking]: Mitsuwa Marketplace has a designated parking lot, but it is one of the more difficult parking lots to navigate in Orange County because Mitsuwa Marketplace also has a food court that draws a huge crowd. [What to Expect]: A-tier selection for Japanese writing instruments, greeting cards, and journals. While the selection is not as customized or curated as some specialty stationery shops, there are still plenty of cute items to choose from. B-tier selection for plushies and the plushies are really overpriced here. [Conclusion]: Come here for Japanese stationery and only window shopping for plushies. They Wouldn't accept my return on an unused, brand new with tags item because I didnt have my receipt. I understand my responsibility to have a proof of purchase. However to not even have an exchange or store credit offered when clearly the item still had their original price tags on it is absurd. They could have issued me store credit, charged a restocking fee, and they would still have us as customers. Store credit would not only guarantee a return customer, but it would also show ' good faith ' and appreciation to their customers. We wont be returning. And im sure thats exactly what they wanted given how they treat people.

We came during the week around midday, so parking was easy to find, but if you're coming on a weekend or in the evening, I'd recommend arriving early since parking is limited. Our instructor, Sage, was incredibly friendly and helpful, guiding us through the entire pottery-making process and making it feel approachable even for beginners. We made two pieces total--one hand-built and one thrown on the wheel--which was really fun and exciting to try. The whole experience was creative, relaxing, and unique. I would definitely recommend this class and will be suggesting it to friends and family!

My wife got out of the car and was at the door inside that window. They wouldn't let her in without me, and I was still parking. I walked in 11 minutes after the start -- one minute past their cutoff. There were maybe four to six people in the room. I explained the family situation involving my son. I told them it was our anniversary. My wife was distraught, and I pleaded with them and tried to reason with them. They turned us away anyway. We weren't asking anyone to slow the class down or stay late -- we would have caught up on our own. My wife left humiliated on the day she had planned as a gift. I get it -- you have to run a business, and you have to start on time. But she was there inside the window you gave us and you wouldn't seat her. It came down to one minute and two people standing in front of you, and you chose the minute. The class started without us. So did the last impression I'll have of this place.
