Conveniently located next to the carousel in South Coast Plaza. The shop is well organized and segregated into girls clothes and boys clothes so that makes it easy to find your way around the shop. The staff I spoke to was so sweet and helpful, I couldn't believe it! She went out of her way to assist me and patiently answered my questions. Great value when they're on 50% off but its a shame the clothes are so expensive when they're regular priced. Free parking available in the parking structure. read more

the baby clothes are adorable, but i came here to look for maternity clothes. I was hoping to come here to get clothes for my growing bump because online anything in size 0 is usually sold out. unfortuntately, this location doesn't sell size 0 clothes - you can only get them online. totally stinks. would be great to know ahead of time before driving 45 minutes out of my way to go to a maternity gap. read more

This location feels somewhat small, but the inventory is great. Chances are if other locations in the area don't have what you're looking for, this location will. And I don't mean to say that it feels cramped in there. I just always go in there and think to myself "how are they fitting all this in here and still have so much room?!" read more

This review is for the maternity section, or rather, the maternity room that they have. I actually liked that it was its own room. It made it easy to find in a sea of baby items. :) They had plenty of bottoms - jeans, work slacks, and workout pants - to choose from. Their tops variety was good, except in the pure body and workout section, where the extensive choices were great. I was hoping for more of a dress selection, though. There were 2 that I recall and both were navy blue. I was looking for something brighter. Regardless, I came out one happy soon-to-be momma! The pants are all very comfortable. And huge bonus...I'm a size smaller than my normal Gap pants size. Score! I could wear maternity pants for ever! I'd say I'm joking but these are so darn comfy! The service was also great! My husband helped me get sizes (he's amazing, especially when I'm feeling low because nothing fits and he'll suck it up and help me with stuff like this) and the employee helped us out too. She didn't seem at all weirded out that he stayed in the dressing room (it was just too annoying to prop the door open since it locks on closing, to another Yelper's point). And every employee congratulated us, and sounded genuine about it. It was really sweet! Gap was having a great Columbus day weekend sale so I was able to get a lot of their maternity basics marked down up to 40%. Wound up getting 9 things for just a little over $100. My favorites are from their Pure Body collection. Tried on their maternity denim. The saleslady explained that you'd just follow the same sizing that you originally were when you're not pregnant. I tried a 24 and it was just way too baggy and long. I forgot that Gap's petite sizes are usually offered only on-line, boo. My only complaint is that I found the fitting room door to be cumbersome so it got tiring opening it repeatedly to show what I was trying on. read more

cute clothes, cute location (perfect actually, merging the Gap Maternity next door, and in the center with the carousel), what more could you ask for? Oh.. maybe a helpful employee that's easy to find. But the way the store is set up, maybe it's not the best way to clutter the spaces with employees everywhere. Shrugs. I had to take my items that I was shopping for and track down an employee before heading to the register. Note that the store isn't that big so it couldn't have been THAT hard to find someone, but on a Saturday afternoon, I suppose it was a bit of a task. I got two polos for a baby boy at a fantastic deal, asked the cashier if I could have that gift wrapped and she was an absolute pleasure. And I have to be honest, I really came to baby gap specifically more for the gift wrap than for the clothes. Omg, so, I was looking all night for a rash guard and trunks for my baby. We are taking him swimming for the first time this weekend out of town. I wanted something from baby gap and online it was sold out. I looked up that SCP has a few. I called 15 mins prior to the store opening and mei was a great help. She actually answered and cared. We came up with options to save the trunks and rash guard for 5 days and really wanted to help me save over night fees. I ended up paying and shipping over night just to be safe. She had the best customer service over the phone I was so impressed. This is my favorite baby gap store and I can't wait to go back Sunday to shop more! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased to gift cards here and paid with cash, the cashier swapped out my gift cards with two empty ones. When my sister and tried to use them to get something online for my niece and nephew they had $00.00 balance!! She asked me if I had the receipt and we realized then that the gift cards the cashier gave me are not the ones that were activated. I AM FURIOUS!Store manager was made aware that she has a thief for an employee. The company is sending my sister two new cards. Hopefully no one else has had this happen to them but I wouldn't be surprised. Before you leave the store verify the card numbers on your receipt! That cashier probably has done this before and is taking them to those gift card buyout place they have now. What a shame. I expect more from employees that work at South Coast Plaza. read more

Terrible service! I returned a gift with gift receipt! Cashier returned the money to the original card without asking me. So the money goes back to the person who give me the gift ! Store manager came out said sorry there is nothing they can do but they will take care of the merchandise I just purchased ( was going to use the credit to buy) . Also they will return the rest of money to my card although it already went back to the person who orginal gave me the gift. I took the coupon and receipt without checking details! When I went back home, I found out they only give me 10% discount of my purchase which is only 0.9 cent and nothing else. Money went back to my friend so I need to call her said sorry I return her gift !! I usually go to BabyGap in Brea mall to purchase clothing for my baby which I haven't had no issues.This place has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in BabyGap .The staff walked by my closely almost pushing me to where a display was he said nothing not excuse me or sorry ,no eye contact at all or smile.Another staff member was rushing to the display table and she said not excuse me or acknowledge that I we were there .Seemed like staff was not happy to be at work. I give customer service and I believe there staff needs more training in customer service.This made made me just want to leave and make a purchase somewhere else. read more

Veeery cute clothes! I live in San Diego county but visited some family in Irvine for Thanksgiving and decided to shop a little at the famous South Coast Plaza. So we headed that way. First off, the store is a bit small for my taste but they have a lot of merchandise. From 0 months to up to 3-4 years I believe. I was greeted by this nice lady name Jenny. As soon as she greeted me I was hoping she wouldn't follow me around trying to sell me something. To my relief, she didn't! She just let me know if I needed some help she would be around in the room. I need a size 18months for my grandson and Jenny was there to get it for from the stock room I believe. Afterwards at the register Candy was also very helpful and was very polite. Overall it's a great store to shop and the prices are perfect for the quality you're getting. You will feel welcomed at this store if Jenny and Candy are there, so make sure to look out for those two nice ladies. read more
