The parking can get a little chaotic because the strip mall also contains a marshals, five below, and a grocery store. Additionally, there are a handful of restaurants within that same strip mall. The staff is always super nice, the lines can get really long, but they move fairly steadily. A nice location to browse and spend some time, and it's convenient that you have other stores right next-door that you can browse through as well.

I had paid in cash, but the cashier who originally helped me forgot to give me my receipt back. Instead of trying to understand the situation or offer any helpful solution, the manager immediately approached me with an attitude and was rude from the start. What disappointed me most was that she refused to acknowledge that the missing receipt was caused by an employee's mistake, not mine. Rather than handling the situation professionally or showing any empathy, she made the entire interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. In the end, I had to settle for store credit because she was unwilling to work with me. A good manager should know how to de-escalate situations, listen to customers, and lead by example. Unfortunately, this manager did the opposite. Her communication, attitude, and overall approach to customer service left a very negative impression. I shop at TJ Maxx often, but after this experience at the Fountain Valley location, I'll think twice before returning. Manager position should be given to individuals who are highly trained in customer service not someone who just rolled out of the bed looking like she don't even wanna be there. Absolutely terrible.

And the employee helped them pretty quick and then it was my turn. Gave him my two returns with my barcodes and voila! All done. On my way out I saw some super cuteeeee Halloween pillows, that I had to get! My Kohls charge card got dusted off and used lol It makes me so happy to see all the Halloween stuff coming out. We experienced poor behavior from the staff twice in one visit. First, when I needed to use the restroom, the lady working at the fitting room made it very difficult. She was visibly annoyed and even demanded to take my daughter's toy ball away twice before letting us in. It is unacceptable to give a customer a hard time over a basic need, let alone target a toddler's toy. Later, while my husband was paying, our toddler was just moving around nearby. She didn't touch or break anything. At that exact moment, another customer walked out, setting off the door alarm. Instead of checking on the potential shoplifter, the cashier next to us snapped at my husband with an attitude, saying, "Go watch your kid, please." The staff completely failed to handle the actual security issue and instead chose to take their frustration out on a paying customer and a harmless 2-year-old.
