On virtually every occasion that I have needed to use the restroom while shopping, I have been informed that the restroom is "currently unavailable." After hearing the same response repeatedly over an extended period of time, it no longer appears to be an occasional issue but rather a continuing practice. California's Restroom Access Act (California Health & Safety Code § 118700) requires qualifying businesses to provide access to employee restroom facilities for individuals with eligible medical conditions who require immediate access to a toilet facility. While there may be circumstances that justify temporary restroom closures, routinely denying restroom access raises serious concerns. I intend to bring this matter to the attention of the appropriate authorities and regulatory agencies for review. Providing customers with access to basic sanitary facilities should not be treated as an optional courtesy. Some aspects of a business are discretionary; others involve fundamental responsibilities toward customers. I have raised this issue with staff on multiple occasions, yet nothing appears to have changed. As a result, I am no longer willing to accept the inconvenience and embarrassment caused by decisions that could and should be addressed by management. I have been a loyal customer since this store's opening day and have continued shopping here through both ownerships. Unfortunately, my loyalty has limits. I am tired of being expected to bear the consequences of what I view as ill-considered management decisions. I hope management will take this matter seriously and implement a permanent solution. I'm here a few times a month as I enjoy stopping by after taking a few laps around the lake. This grocery store is located in the Woodbridge village center so there is plenty of parking all around the center. It is not a large store but you can get all the essentials here. The pricing is very reasonable compared to the other large grocery store chains. The only watch out I have is the expiration dates for the packaged food products can be close but the closer they are to the expiration date, the cheaper it gets. You'll also find a lot of unique flavors here because I think they buy out some test market products that never made it to the broader national stores. They also buy out holiday stuff that other stores couldn't sell. The staff has always been friendly to me so I enjoy my regular visits here. read more

Love going here and buying the essentials and more for a cheap price! I would highly recommend it, as there are a variety of well-known food brands here for a lower cost. Their meats and steaks seemed to also be cheaper. Staff were a bit quiet, though, and it seems as if not all the same products are there everyday, so get your favorite products while you can! read more

Really enjoy coming to GO. There's always new items and snacks with reasonable prices. Even though some foods will expire soon you get a superb deal. These keto Hilo chips were about 1/3 of retail prices! I also like their NOSH section a lot which you can find a lot of natural organic powders, meal replacement bars, shakes, and lots of various collagen powders. Their frozen section also pretty good. My recommendation is if you find something that you like at this store go back the next day because inventory is limited and they might not have it in stock next time you visit. I been coming in the Grocery for like 5yrs or more, i just notice that most of the time bathroom were closed .. i keep asking staff all the time why its always closed? they want me to go over to the main bldg to do it..this Morning i was here with my wife to do the usual grocery , and i was really pissed off when one of the staff ( the ild guy in the vegies area) told me the same thing with rudeness saying " Cant you read the sign? " and point his finger toward the main bldg restroom... i was irritated and told my wife to leaved.. been with other grocery store and notice some rudeness exept with those young gen who had salesmanship and customer relation training... i guess they need to review refreshing course how to handle customer... so i went to aldi... a lost of sales today is a lost of sales forever... read more

Overall, this is a GREAT store. Quality products at deeply reduced costs. It's also fun finding unique and unusual items. Recently, I have noticed that the store is not as tidy as it used to be. Additionally, not a single shopping cart in the cart area. Check out my photo. There are 2 there but they are glued to each other that I could not pull them apart. I had to walk back to the lot to find a cart. There were so many carts sprawled out throughout the lot. IMO, they should do cart checks every half hour to 1 hr. When the quantity dips below 10, send a worker out to collect them and bring them back home ;) read more

I had an okay shopping experience until I went to check out. I went to a checkout line with no line and an employee actively at the register wiping down his station. I waited patiently as he finished wiping down, but then he walked away for about 3 minutes to chat with another employee two registers down. I was never rude, never even made a comment about that. He came back to check me out, I asked him how his day was, to which no reply. He seemed very grumpy and it was off putting. He asked if I would like a bag quite rudely. I said yes please and went on to pay. Up till now, none of my experience even warranted a review. That was until he completed bagging my items up and then threw the bag at me. His hand nearly hit my face as I was typing my pin into the pin pad. He threw my receipt at me once that printed and then walked away with no exit greeting. I wanted to ask his name, as I knew I would be leaving this review after having my items rudely tossed at me. I don't know if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or what, but to work in customer service, you should know it's never okay to throw anything at a customer. It's a decent human practice to not throw things at anyone, in fact. Especially considering how kind I was being despite the already rocky customer service from being ignored at the start. Congratulations to this employee, you lost yourself and your store a customer. My experience here was so bad I don't even want to return to any Grocery Outlets in Irvine, or near by for a long while. I really hope this man can take a moment to think about his actions and maybe take a class on customer service as well as how to maintain your emotions while on the job. Super disappointed in this stores customer service ethics. It's really sad. I have a picture included of the back of the employee since he gave me no time to ask for his name at the end. Hopefully the picture will help others avoid his checkout line and have a happier experience than I did. I forgot receipts will often say the cashier's name at the bottom, so I went to check. Decent prices on "certain items" pseudo sales on alot of other items. Some stuff expires on the quick, so buyer beware. Overall a nice change from Trader Joe's and the Mega Corp markets, but the vibe is odd here. I mean I get that you are a discount market but you can just bag a few of my items instead of acting "too good" to bag? For instance, it takes a couple seconds to pay, card, pin etc. You could have easily put 1 can of beer and some Strawberries in my bag and let the other customers get going faster too. This is definitely one of my little Goto spots at least three times a week. Whenever I just feel, I need to get a deal on something I wander into the store after a hard workout. Everything from bread to meat all the way to alcohol they're always seems to be some type of deal I come away with. This is a locally owned store so the people there are super nice and helpful. It kinda does remind you of the local neighborhood store you see on those TV shows lol. This is a small grocery store by Woodbridge lake which has a limited selection of various items ranging from produce to hair products. Sort of a treasure hunt with eclectic mix of lesser know items from brand names such as the Heinz mayo/Sriracha condiment I purchased. There are a limited number of cashiers and aisles are narrow (they seem to be restocking whenever I go in). Prices seem reasonable enough though I probably wouldn't make it a regular stop for all my shopping needs. read more

I shop at this grocery outlet a good amount of times but just had a horrible experience. I came in as normal to grab some snacks but prior to shopping I asked a cashier for the restroom code. "We don't give out the code. Are you shopping ?" yes.... So I stood awkwardly in silence for 3 minutes before being told they called someone there for me. I wait by the bathroom and nobody comes for 10 minutes. Then I walk back to the counter and the same lady lets me in. And when I go, the bathrooms are totally disgusting! I walk up to a different employee to show them the photos and ask if they work here "No, I just wear the shirt for fun." Okay? So I show her the photo and then the original employee comes up and I show her too "Yeah when I don't allow people in the bathroom it's for a reason" .... Okay???? gross dude. I have been a patron on this location for some years now. If there's a zero rating - that is what it deserved. Careful buying the pasta in the ref - I bought a pack with mold! Their onions are also with mold! I had to travel far again to return it! Today, was an awful experience! The cashier asked if I want to have the items, I bought bagged. I said, no that I have a bag in my car. I was told by the cashier that the store is charging 10 cents for the flimsy green plastic! It is only used for the produce. I used 1 for a big bottle of bleach coz it may leak if it accidentally tips over in my car. I used 1 for the pork chop coz at one time, a pack leaked blood in my grocery bag & to the rag of my car. I spoke that Ralph's, Vons, & Stater Bros do not charge any fee. As I took off the plastic from the bleach & pork chop, the cashier became rude and even accused me of throwing the plastic to her. She said: "We're not Ralph's, Stater Bros!" There are cameras in the store, I did not do such a thing! This store lost a patron that buys $50 to $70 worth of groceries almost every week! Honestly I like this location to get chicken breasts at which they had for $1.99 per pound until recently bumped to $2.49 per pound, still a great deal. Only reason for 3 stars is there were no grocery carts so had to use a basket, and at checkout there was only 1 register open for quite a bit of people in the place. Great sales and discounts and otherwise a pleasant experience.The employee who checked me out was nice even though it was pretty loud and busy, which is nice to see. read more

Tucked away in Woodbridge Village is this market full of bargains. As other reviewers have pointed out, you won't find everything on your shopping list but making trips up and down the aisles you'll find plenty of things you normally buy for half price or less. And stuff you didn't think you wanted just as cheap. One thing I was surprised to find was Johnny's Seasoning salt at less than half the price I normally pay. It's my secret cooking ingredient for everything from eggs to burgers. It's a Seattle based product and impossible to find in Southern California so I usually order it via Amazon. As long as they have it on the shelves at the store I'll be buying it here. Also amazing are the wine prices. Most wines are priced in the $4 to $8 range and most are labels that you'd pay double or more for at grocery stores. I walked out with an armload of wine and the ones I've tried are above average and the ones I haven't tried yet are rated 4 stars on my Vivino app. If you live anywhere near here it's a great place to grab a table wine for dinner or a quiet night at home. Too many other great finds to mention. You just have to go check out this place and see what deal they have on your favorite items. read more

This store has been going downhill. I used to shop here almost exclusively but it's just not how it used to be. The last few times I was here, customers in line told the cashier the prices ringing up were different from the posted price. Well, it happened to me this time. Item rings up for $2 but sign says $0.99. A manager was called and says the price is $0.99. When the cashier tells her, it rung up as $2, she said, "oh yeah, it's $2." She said she would check the sign and asked if I want the item for $2 or remove it. I told her it's illegal to sell at a different price than the posted one so her response was to fix the sign. Also, be prepared to wait a long time to check out and pay. Employees are busy stocking already full shelves but no one is helping check out 6 people waiting for 1 cashier. Eventually, someone will help you but not until you've waited for a long time. It's worth it to go to Ralph's down the street which has fresh fruit and vegetables for cheaper. read more

I love getting snacks from here. They have a good selection of organic snacks, as well as vegan snacks which are tasty, and less salty/sweet than its commercial counterparts. I love the organic Cheetos, and the jackfruit puffs are so addicting. Sometimes, I'll pick up organic turkey, or baby cheese packs for snacking. Apparently they don't honor the prices on the shelf. There was a whole section of these quest bars and the price was $5.99... so I grabbed two boxes with my hundred dollar order and during check out I noticed they rang up $11.99... I took the cashier with me to show her and she agreed that they were indeed labeled incorrectly so she had to call for a manager override for the price difference so when Charissa the manager came she was far from friendly and said she couldn't honor it I walked her over there myself and showed her she pulled the tag and told me she couldn't honor the price and I told her everywhere else does I mean somebody clearly put them in the wrong spot she said she could only do one box.... I guess they're hard up for a few bucks I hope this isn't owned by the same owner that owns the one in Costa Mesa because he's a very nice guy.... Poor customer service in regards to the bathroom. My little girls and I came here for shopping, today with my own big ass grocery bag in hand. My 5 year old needed to use the restroom and when I asked for the code the African American cashier sarcastically said,"The public restrooms are outside!" I told her we are customers. She said she needed to call the manager. I told her again we are customers, give me the code. She said she would send someone back there. My 7 year old said,"That lady's rude!" She probably should have just asked if we were customers, nicely and gave me the code. This is not the way to start off the new year. I man helped us while we were back there an apologized on her behalf, but she should have apologized instead. read more

New locations popping up all over quickly in my area and this is another good one. I really love the service here and that they always offer new products. Not a huge fan of their fresh items, but you can always find some great freezer items orthings for the home. Always very clean, nice wide aisles, and amaazing products e.g., green olives with almonds, interesting wines and spirits, fresh produce, and meats. Though hit & miss --especially when seeking products purchased in the past -- this is still a far better Grocery Outlet than Costa Mesa. Costa Mesa feels dirty, part of this is not the store management fault, its the crowd in this neighborhood, very sketchy. read more
