Very rude and not customer oriented. She needs to be trained. And to be more Specific she doesn't fit to be a cashier. U can clearly see she doesn't know what to do.

Hmart is getting terrible. All the fruits brought today were bad. From apples to Korean pears. What a waste of money.

I love HMart and this one is one of the nicer ones among them all. When my office used to be close to this location, I came here several times a week to shop during lunch. They have a lot of varieties for different types of Asian foods, from Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc. Prices are also a bit higher than other Asian grocery stores but everything is fresher here.

Hmart is the perfect place to buy a picnic for the beach. I love picking up food from them especially on my solo dates :D the best tasting food and to be the salmon belly. The chive pancakes came warm which was nice. The price is not bad at all in my opinion the pancakes and kimbap were around 5& each. The salmon is cheap compared to a restaurant! I wish i had one closer to my house.

SO FRUSTRATING!! We wanted to grab some food for our beach picnic. We grabbed Kimbap, sushi, rice, & spare ribs. After checking out we realized we needed utensils & went over to the restaurant area to get some. They said we couldn't have any & kept telling us they don't have utensils. How can you not have utensils? This is the restaurant area!? Then they told us to go get utensils from the cashier. We went back to checkout and they gave us chopsticks but why wouldn't they give us chopsticks if they saw us buying sushi etc.? Then I asked the cashier for a fork and spoon and said they don't have any & to ask the restaurant area! I was so frustrated i left because I didn't want to go back to the restaurant area & hear them say they don't have utensils. So frustrating. The food was bland too. Better off going to Mitsuwa Market!

Clean hmart with two food shops connect inside. Not a huge food court option like some hmart but it'll do. There's plenty of ready to eat food. They have a warm section and food left out. Very affordable and quick, grab and go meal options Lot of delicious snacks! Check out their anime drinks section! So cute and they taste like our typical sodas, or similar! Fast check out, kind cashier. They also offer chop sticks as needed! Just ask!

I never thought of leaving a review for H Mart so here goes. It's a pretty solid Asian grocery store with a bakery and food courts area as well. I think the food court area changed since Covid. I have yet to try it, but it looks like it has more of a hot food reaching than it did where it was served to you directly out of the pan. I could be wrong. I usually stop in to get some produce and condiments. Today was no different. I find the prices very reasonable overall for a lot of items. The watermelon and cantaloupe I purchased today were a lot less expensive here than they are at Ralph's or pavilions. I was bummed that the sweet potato wasn't ready yet. I had about another hour for it to cook in the produce area. The store can get really busy but one of the things that drives me crazy is all of the restocking so it can be a little bit hard to get around some of the employees. And they're usually isn't enough lanes open to get in and out quickly. I almost wish they would have self check out at this point. It has been a while since I have visited this location and I also think that the beverage section has been reduced as far as variety. They still have my favorites, but some of the things I was looking for did not seem to be available. Overall, it's a generally clean store. It's easy to find things overall. There is a parking lot directly in front of it that is designated just for the store. They don't like when you park there and then go over to the restaurants in the other parking lot. It can get very busy and crowded so bring your patience.

    Yes

Does this store sell bones and other animal parts to make stews and broths?

Yes. They sell the bones frozen (I'm not sure if they have fresh ones). They even sell the premade/packaged and store made bone broths.

Does this location sell tapioca boba to make your own boba drink?

Yes, they do! They are sold in vacuum-sealed bags. It's the kind you have to boil. Sadly, they don't have popping boba!

    Accepts EBT card?

    Yes

I heard H MART is opening two more in Irvine!!! I right in the middle of the two new locations! One of Alton and the other on Jeffrey. Does anyone know the Grand Opening dates? I love the food courts there

Alton and Culver is August 12th.

Do they still sell the samyang carbonara noodles?

It's October 2022 now and yes, they do! :)

When you get bad produce, does h mart accept exchanges or replacements? I got 3 mangos yesterday evening and cut them all open today and they're all bad/spoiled.

If you talk to someone in charge, most likely they will let you exchange it or get your money back.

Do they sell raw chicken necks? If so are they skin on or off

I saw chicken but only necks. I don't think so. Maybe you can try ranch 99. Chinese Asian markets

Just be sure to keep your purse, and wallet close to you. Also I normally get the nice young Asian cashier, since I first started shopping there in March. He's very nice and he started to recognized me as I shopped there once a week. Except for today, I got a different cashier. She was very nice and I thanked her opening up the register. It was very crowded due to the upcoming Fourth of July Holiday. Everyone was shopping at the same time. The guy behind me thought it was odd for everyone to show up at the same time around 4 pm. I guess everyone took the day off, or a half day? Also I feel safe in this store. I have a disability and it was easy for me to go around the aisles. There are a few downers though. Picking out fruits and veggies can be a hit, or miss with me. Be sure to check the due dates. It's hard to find fresh strawberries Most of them go bad within a few days in the fridge, and I eat them almost every day. I wouldn't recommend buying the mixed fruit. Mine went bad very quickly and unfortunately had to throw it away. Although I do like their frozen food selections, and finding some meat that were on sale like the ground chicken breast for 5 bucks! You can't beat that. I'll continue to shopping there.

The grocery is good for what to expect for any Asian market but the main attraction is the food court. It may not seem like much but all of them are really good and would fill up your hunger instantly. My favorites from the top of my head are the Katsu Don if I remember correctly and the Udon section where you pick your tempura (don't know the exact name). Overall good place to eat lunch or even dinner. Another problem would be finding a seat since there's hardly any tables and your plate is pretty big and bowls are heavy so you have to be somewhat quick to find a seat. The ambiance is fine but that's kind of to be expect in any supermarket, which is usually crowds talking and all. I really don't have much to say. Ever since this place closed down the anime shop, the DVD store, and bookstore, this place pretty much lost what made Mitsuwa special and worth visiting. Especially for someone who's into both anime and tokusatsu like Super Sentai (Japanese Power Rangers). Those places are what got me my first Gundam model kit (Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed) and my go to place for Japanese DVDs as mentioned (Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, and Nanoha). I understand why they close down these stores, especially with streaming services and online shopping are a thing, even though I don't fully agree as they are customers like me that would prefer in-store physical copies. That is why I deduct one star. These are replaces with a gachapon store, a Matcha store, a Boba store I believe and Daiso. The matcha and boba place (forgot the names sorry) are surprisingly good. I really like the matcha ice cream in a bowl and I believe the Doncha. The gachapon I cannot say as I never spend money there and I'm not into these gacha machines and I rarely buy anything in Daiso as its just your typical convenience store that sells some Japanese stuff so I won't say much. In conclusion, it's a very nice spot to eat Japanese meals and especially something to fill you up for the day while also shopping to buy Japanese food to cook at home. Just be aware this is pretty pricey, especially the Royce matcha chocolates and the food court.
