Came here with my girlfriend on a Wednesday evening and was pleasantly surprised! We got to sample a few wines before ordering--love that the staff let us taste first. I was a little bummed they didn't have Riesling or Moscato (I'm into sweet wines ), but they did have Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. There's also rosé and red, plus a pretty big beer selection on tap . I ordered sushi and a salmon bowl from the Japanese bar , and my girlfriend got the hummus plate . The staff brought my food over so we could still sit and eat together even though we ordered from different counters. Super convenient! The food was about 3.5/5 --not bad, but not amazing either. What really made the visit worth it was the service--five stars all the way . Friendly, fast, and super accommodating. Atmosphere was another win: clean, bright, and relaxing . It wasn't too crowded around 5 PM, and there's a TV if you want to catch a game . Not sure how it is during sports season, but it felt really chill during our visit. Pricing is affordable--most wines by the glass are around $12-$14, which is reasonable for the area. Parking is easy , and it's the perfect spot to catch up with friends. We especially loved that everyone could order separately and still hang out together--no awkward bill-splitting. Plus, you can grab groceries on your way out . Super convenient!

Small Batch Chocolate Bars, McConnell's Ice Cream, Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee - Irvine, California

This is a gourmet grocery store that sells name brand goods at a premium. BUT they do have a handful of specialty products that I won't find at Ralph's across the street. Gelson's can be found at the Oak Creek shopping center near Alton and Jeffrey. Parking is ample, they share the lot with other businesses but I never have trouble finding a close spot. This location was recently remodeled. They added a new hand-rolled sushi bar and wine bar, which is nice. Like most Gelson's, their prepared foods and cheese selections are top notch. I've given their poke a try before, but I prefer getting that elsewhere. The bakery inside is Viktor Benês, and they always have tasty pastries. The Stumptown Cold Brew with Oatly! looked interesting, so I bought one to try. It was smooth with a slight hint of chocolateness, I wouldn't mind getting it again. The Gelson's Peanut Butter Filled Dark Chocolate Bar was a one time purchase though. It could be a bit creamier inside, the filling was dry. As a UCSB alum, they get bonus points for having a large variety of McConnell's pints and single serve cups. The Salted Caramel Chip tasted just as good as it did when I was a student. You won't find me here often. Why spend $7.29 on a box of Cheerios or $11 on a pint of Jeni's when I can drive to another grocery store down the road and get it for less? Nonetheless, their products can fulfill all your household and kitchen needs, if you look beyond prices. So 3.5 stars, rounding up because I like McConnell's.

Last night, I bought a water and cracked it open right away in the parking lot and proceeded to chug because I was thirsty after a long day. Next thing I know I feel a scratch in my throat and notice some sandy, grainy texture in my mouth. I check the bottle and find that the glass had several chips at the top of the bottle under the cap. I literally drank fucking GLASS bro. Never coming back again.

    Tri-tip sandwich/dip

Really disappointed in this place. The deli used to be incredible and everything was made with care. Today I got an inedible tri-tip sandwich and overly dressed crunchy kale salad that was all stems. The sandwich had hard grizzle pieces that could not be chewed. if they are going to charge $20 for a sandwich it better be made with care. This was terrible. All the prepared foods in the deli case also looked sloppy and low quality. They just don't feel like the premium market they used to be, yet the prices haven't changed at all.

It was very crowded due to the upcoming Fourth of July Holiday. Everyone was shopping at the same time. The guy behind me thought it was odd for everyone to show up at the same time around 4 pm. I guess everyone took the day off, or a half day? Also I feel safe in this store. I have a disability and it was easy for me to go around the aisles. There are a few downers though. Mine went bad very quickly and unfortunately had to throw it away. Although I do like their frozen food selections, and finding some meat that were on sale like the ground chicken breast for 5 bucks! The prices are definitely higher than many other markets, but the quality has always been pretty solid. One of the main reasons I come here is for the Korean beef short ribs. Every time I've bought them, they've been fresh and looked great. The only downside for me is the parking lot. Finding a spot can be a challenge depending on the time of day. Other than that, most of the products here, from frozen foods to kimchi and other groceries, have been consistently fresh. The store is clean, well organized, and doesn't have that strong market smell that some grocery stores can have. Everything is laid out in a way that's easy to find, which makes shopping a little more convenient. The staff isn't especially friendly, but they do their job and I've never had any issues.

Although Buena Park and Arcadia can get a bit tight for parking, it's never that much of a PvP zone where literally the entire zip code is in one place. It's also not the biggest H Mart that I've been to either. It's not a Super H Mart like some other locations. They do have a small food court off to the side, but seating is limited. The food court has Maison de Croissant (yummy croffles and other baked goods), Pizza Chicken Love Letter (at least the last time I checked), and I think at least one more. Like the other locations they have packed deli food and other bento box type foods that get discounted later on. Very busy and very crowded and since it's smaller, a bit more limited. Does what it has to, but definitely better locations out there.

I understand stores get busy, but this feels more like a General Management issue than a staffing issue. When operations are consistently backed up and disorganized, that responsibility falls on leadership. A good manager steps in, rolls up their sleeves, and helps get things back on track. If you're ordering delivery or planning a pickup, I'd strongly recommend choosing another Albertsons or a nearby Ralphs instead. This location seems to struggle with basic order management, and unfortunately it shows.
