This dollar tree is well stocked and pretty roomy. While I did prefer the old 99 cent only stores, dollar tree seems to have stepped up their game a little. This store even had gift cards, which I didn't know they carried. Very convenient for last minute gifts, right next to their discount price cards for most occasions. 11-2025 How do I put this...the staff at this location is so ghetto. The women who work there are ready to fight or argue at any moment. It's like every customer who come through the store is an enemy. The staff creates a negative environment especially the manager. They talk at you not too you. It's called customer service with a smile and kindness. It's unfortunate because it's close to my home and I drive to a further one just because the cashiers are nicer. I love shopping at Dollar Tree but DO NOT come to this location. The cashier that goes by the name SANDRA was unnecessarily RUDE. We bought a balloon for my son and when we walked out of the store the balloon just floated away. Mind you, we still had the string in our hand. The balloon itself just flew away and my son was really upset so we went back in to see if they might be able to do something. Great store to stop at for Christmas stocking fillers! There's stickers, coloring books, puzzles and toys for little ones. Lots of holiday decorations and greeting cards too. Yes very covid safe, they do have quite the options compared to other stores as well I usually have no problem. Unless the night manager is there she's not nice at all. Some how it's my fault that the register froze when there was a long line. There she was banging the computer like that was going to help it move any faster. She blamed me for touching a bucket that I didn't want, said they had to throw it away now. When all the other stuff I "touched" was going back on the floor? That didn't make sense. Simple and straightforward! It's nice to go to a store where you already know what you are paying before you go in. Even though DT is smaller than $.99 and Big Lots, there are plenty of great things, particularly in kitchen and household items and paper goods. Certainly makes sense to visit here before going to the traditional big box, supermarket, or drug store. Of course their selection is limited, but it is good to go here not only what you're needing but probably a couple other things that didn't realize that you needed, that you forgot about. This is probably the nicest Dollar Tree store I've ever been to. I think it is fairly new and the employees do a great job of keeping it clean and organized. The location isn't the best, it is located in a plaza which doesn't have too much parking most of the time. The spots are usually taken as there are other surrounding stores in the same plaza. What is nice about the location is that it is located very close to the 55 freeway and next to Starbucks which I also go to a lot. The staff is very helpful and I usually tend to find everything very easily. I've been to other Dollar Tree stores were several of their products are thrown on the floor carelessly and not even cleaned up while I trample all over everything and almost trip and fall and kill myself. They have a large selection of holiday goods considering it is that time of year and I really enjoy shopping here on my lunch break. It never gets too packed but even when there are lots of people I don't feel claustrophobic. read more

I didnt know there was a dollar tree within 10-15 minutes of my work, so yay! Went here Friday night to kill some time... and I absolutely LOVE Dollar Tree stores. This one seemed to be on the smaller side, and lacking some of the items other Dollar Trees have... but the staff was very friendly and I love that they are doing a toy collection at the registers and offer for you to make a donation, and you can pick the toy. So I've never set foot in a Dollar Tree Store before cuz well, there's never been one near me. This used to be a Tuesday Morning which closed about a year ago and this DT quietly popped up in mid-December. I have to say I'm sold! Of course, a lot of the stuff is your typical discount stuff but I was very impressed with how clean and well organized the store is as well as the fact that the staff was very helpful and seemed to know what they were doing. I was pretty impressed with several of the items including the party supplies (Mylar balloons for $1, party plates, napkins, etc.) and also with the seasonal stuff. This is a very clean and new looking Dollar Tree. They don't have toys and items spewed all about their aisles, things are easy to find, and there aren't a whole lot of unattended children running through the store. This is a very nice place to run to if you need to pick up some household items for cheap. Last time I went I stocked up on 4 red wine glasses which I have put to the test since and love them. First, I realize they may have been busy or people have have bad days, but it should not reflect on how you treat a customer. I asked for assistance, and was told to hold on then he never came back to help. Then I brought a broken glass jar I found on shelf to cashier, explained I didn't want anyone to get hurt, she didn't say a word, just took it. Then when she started ringing up my stuff she asked if I had bags, I said yes, and placed them on conveyor. She then took them and told me I should have placed them on other side. So basically she wanted me to squeeze by the side of my cart ... while I am still loading items, and go to other end to place them there. When I finished paying, she gave me receipt then went to next customer. SHE DID NOT HELP ME BAG ANY OF MY 30+ ITEMS. I WAS LEFT DOING IT, WHILE SHE WAS ALSO PLACING OTHER CUSTOMERS ITEMS THERE. Ignored by 2 employees. I have had sweet employees there in the past so maybe these 2 had bad training, still common courtesy goes a long way. read more

Ordered a case of Hot Wheels as a Christmas present to be shipped to Tustin store. Waited 2 1/2 weeks finally Received an email stating package was ready to pick up. Called store to confirm, and wouldn't you know it they have no info on my order. They advised me they receive orders only on Tuesdays, and to call back then. Of course I do, and still nothing. I'm so happy that there's a Dollar Tree closer to Irvine than the Garden Grove/Westminster locations. And yes, I am excited about a dollar store but why not?! The Dollar Tree has almost everything you need: kitchen utensils, party favors, frozen foods, etc. Why spend a bunch of money for the exact same items? They even have a $1 novel shelf if you're extremely desperate for a book to read. Compared to the Dollar Trees in the Bay Area, this location doesn't carry as much but it still offers the essentials.
