Always great service and the best bagels around. Makes me feel like I'm at home in Jersey.

I've been coming here regularly and always ask for my bagel not to be cut, yet one particular employee consistently ignores this request. When I finally went back in to have it remade, she seemed offended, which I found unprofessional. On top of that, the AC unit drips water onto the bagel display, and the case itself isn't fully sealed. These sanitation concerns are disappointing and need to be addressed. read more

This is our favorite breakfast spot to go to if we need something to grab and go quick! All of the staff is super nice and have manners. The owner is absolutely hilarious and always puts a smile on our face! Their bagels are incredible. They put a lot of hard work into making these consistently fresh, and it's appreciated by a lot of people. You have a slight crunch on the outside when you bite into the bagel, and the inside is perfectly soft. At other places, you're always trying to rip off what you're biting into from the bagel being so rough and chewy. Seating: there's some seating inside with small little tables and chairs. I suggest sitting outside where they have nice tables with HPU umbrellas over them. Plus it's a good way to avoid the crowd that's normally inside the place. 5 stars all around for the hard work the owner and his team go through to make fresh food daily, heck, even hourly if they're going through them so fast! It gets PACKED at around 9-11 am. So, sometimes you see the owner in the back making fresh batches of bagels to keep up with how much is going out the door. **you are required to wear a mask before going in. If you're in a rush or want to avoid a crowd, I suggest ordering on the Yelp app through GrubHub to place your to-go order. It's always done way ahead of time than when the app says to pick it up by too. read more

Anyone saying that these bagels are "nowhere close to NY style bagels" has never had a NY style bagel. They remind me of the H&H bagels I used to get when I worked in the city...a slightly crispy outside and soft inside. Everything about these bagels scream NY/NJ. Everyone there is nice and if you pull up and the line is long, don't be discouraged, they move quickly and have multiple people helping several customers at once. read more

Cute little bagel shop that is often crowded - which is a good sign as their bagels are good! I often get the bakers dozen of mixed flavors and it's always a hit. They have a lot of different cream cheese flavors to choose from. They also offer different creamer flavors for your coffee - which is nice! All beverages -other than coffee- are cans/bottles from drink cooler. I personally like an everything bagel with cream cheese and tomato but, I have to say, they have the thinnest sliced tomatoes I've ever seen! They must use a mandolin to slice those things! First let me start off by saying the food here is amazing! Customer service is severely lacking. I placed an order yesterday for 16 bagels to take to my staff at work. I asked that they be sliced since I work in a school and we don't have knives. They mentioned they would be able to do it if they were not too busy. When I went to pick up my order they were four staff members and one other customer in the store. I again inquired about having the bagels sliced and I was told they were too busy. I requested this almost 24 hours in advance and I feel like they could have cut them in the morning before customers even came in or even this morning when they had one customer and four staff. I am highly disappointed in the service that I received today. It's disappointing when they have good food but terrible service so it is highly likely I will not be back. Staff is friendly, But 9 bucks and change for two bagels and flavored cream cheese?? And I also bought two blueberry muffins on my way out. A total of SIX blueberries in each muffin. I eat there when the mood strikes me for a bagel breakfast sandwich. Local owned business and sandwiches are great. I order everything bagels b/c they are my fave! Sides, like potato and macaroni salad are not so great. I prefer the small bag of chips they will give for a side. Brownies and baked goods are good, not great but will do for a sweet treat. Furious with myself for living in High Point so long and not going in this place before today! These bagels are just as good as Russ and Daughters in NY. Genuinely, I don't see how these bagels could be improved even 1%. They're crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Today I had the everything bagel with herb shmear and literally had to close my eyes and take a minute after the first bite. SO GOOD. I was worried the herb shmear might have too heavy of a garlic or onion bite to it but it was well balanced and added the right amount of zhuzh to it. I would've loved to try the lox spread but will have that to look forward to after this pregnancy. My friend got the lox, cream cheese, red onion and capers on her bagel and she said it was delicious as well! They also had muffins, breads and cinnamon rolls for purchase. A wonderful NY style bagel shop in the Eastchester area of High Point! A quaint, but adequate interior, bagel shop that not only have great bagels but good sandwiches made from those bagels! NY bagels have a heavier and chewy texture which these certainly do! Their Egg Bagels are fantastic, and made with fresh eggs & sausage, this becomes a great sandwich! Great variety of bagels like egg, pumpernickel, and cinnamon crunch. It reminds me of bagels I ate, growing up in Long Island NY. People there are friendly and helpful. High Point Bagels makes as excellent and authentic of a New York bagel as you will find anywhere outside of the Big Apple. There is one warning however, for the tender-eared: this place boldly showcases the New York attitude--the employees are very friendly, but they will throw around F-bombs like confetti at New Year's. For example, while eating my bagel and schmear, I overheard the three or four employees talking about some guy they knew and his prison sentence. Their banter was peppered with at least four F-bombs, 2 MFers, and several S-bombs. This does not bother ME, but I shutter to think of how someone like my mother would react to that. So just be aware.   They showcase their authenticity, in part, in that one of their meat options is "Taylor Ham". This is as New York/New Jersey as it gets.  The Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese on a sesame seed bagel was exceptional--perfectly toasted, perfectly chewy, perfectly assembled. You get the gist: perfect.  I also had an Everything bagel with cream cheese and it was equally phenomenal. Their cream cheese is the dense kind that I like and is outstanding.  The place could use a little sprucing up inside and out, but it's really about the bagels, and they are outstanding. read more

You can't beat the prices either for homemade bagels. They just started serving muffins, and whoa are they ginormous! They look incredible, but I didn't order one this morning. Some of my favorite bagel combinations are the rosemary and olive oil bagel with egg and cheese, a blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese, and of course the lox bagel. So yummy! You should definitely try this place out! Oh, and to address the 1 star review, they do not take money and then fix food. The platter was perfect and it was ready as promised in time to Break Fast this week. As always the bagels were fresh and authentic New York style with the perfect balance of malt. I'm a regular and Mat always provides the best in Deli in the Triad. If the folks at HPB don't have what you're looking for, just ask. Two weeks ago I asked for Bialys. Had them in two days. That's customer service that makes it easy to plan. Breakfast? What ya want with thst warm fresh bagel? Eggs? Bacon? Sausage? Cheese? You name it, they got it. The Bagels are exactly like the one's I used to buy in Brooklyn. Perfect! Service is good. They try to get people in and out asap! That's very important when I'm on my way to work! Wish I could give no stars I have been here several times in hopes if the next visit to be better. Unfortunately my visits have never gotten better. The owner and his employees are all dysfunctional. They are rude, loud, disrespectful and they all seem high. Not once was my bagel made correctly. The bagels are hard. Not ever wearing masks. I have seen them touch money and food with no gloves on their hands. The store is dirty. I will not be back!! I think all of the good reviews on here are fake. There is no way it was ever good. Bagels were ok. They have another issue....the staff either doesn't wear masks or wears them on their chin. Cashier was covering her mouth, but not her nose. I was wearing mine to protect them....and it is required by law. Cashier got shitty attitude when I asked her to repeat herself. Complaining about the mask that she wasn't wearing correctly. Overall, if you are used to that kind of service, and your not in a high risk group for COVID 19, the place is ok. If not, find a better place. I won't return. read more

My favorite is the everything bagel with plain cream cheese, but there's always someone in line ordering their breakfast sandwiches, so I'm assuming that's another top seller. If I can ever convince myself to depart from my usual, I'm trying their chocolate chip muffin because they look incredible. The best time to arrive is in the morning when the bagels are fresh off the rack, but the owner and his team will take care of you no matter when you stop by.
