We've visited this spot in High Point a few times. The service is always friendly, happy to offer samples and quick to answer any questions. Though their main business is wine, they do also have a few taps for beer, and some canned/bottle options including non alcoholic items in coolers. The interior is large, and very open, so it gets a bit loud at times. They seem to have a rotating art display which keeps their walls fresh We visit most often for their monthly trivia nights which lately have been some good pop culture TV show themed. Nomad is my favorite wine bar in the triad the staff and owner are always so friendly and welcoming . I love that they have something for everyone and most if not all are made in house. I can agree with some other reviews I've read about this business. The parking was my main concern with there being limited spaces in their designated parking area. However, there was street parking and a parking lot across the street from this location. I dropped in for an event on a weekday. I arrived a bit early to check the place out a bit. It felt open and spacious upon entry. There were a couple of customers hanging out at the bar area. I appreciate the seating areas. You have an option to lounge, choose a table with friends, and outdoor seating for those nice days out! Once folks started to arrive, the music and overall volume of the space became a bit much. So, having the option to step away for a moment was nice. I ordered one of their red house wines, but unfortunately, I can't recall the name at the moment. I was given the option to sample a few before deciding. There does appear to be something for everyone, even if you prefer something besides wine, there's ciders, and even saw a strawberry lemonade beverage that I would try on another occasion. I would return to explore more of the menu and space. read more

I love going to local restaurants and bars. This one is welcoming and friendly but I'd like more options. I like wine and hubby prefers beer. The last time we were there there was nothing he wanted which kept our visit short. We had a lovely experience at nomad a few nights ago. We were there for a Yelp elite event, but before it started we had to get a few drinks! If there's one thing i love when visiting a new place is variety! Having a little something for everyone makes for a great experience when out with friends, and Nomad did not disappoint. They offer wine, mead, and even a few beers as well! Our server was great, recommending some great options for my girlfriend and I to try. I was surprised to hear that they served mead which I had never tried before but was so glad I did! I ordered the Tiki Torch mead which was a blend of passion fruit, pineapple, and mango which was phenomenal!! Not overly sweet and none of the flavors overpowering the other, this was the perfect summer drink!! My girlfriend ordered the sparkling wine and it wonderful as well, similar to the mead, it wasn't overly sweet and the flavors meshed well together. The space itself was immaculate! Everything was super clean and there are a few different options for seating. There are two big and open spaces inside offering an array of seating options as well as an outdoor seating area out back! We can't wait to come back soon!! read more

Just got here and I already love this place! There quite a few wines on tap, yes I said TAP and a range of your standard wines and some mixed fruit wines and even a dry mead which is unique to me as I've only ever experienced sweet mead. Very impressed with this place! There is plenty of room for large groups without tripping over each other. Its a nice open clean environment. I'm enjoying a sparkling prosecco type wine. Dry and very easy to drink. The hosts are very friendly and on top of their game. They know there products. In the other back room are the stainless steel tanks holding more of the nectar of the gods as I would describe it. I Will be back with a group of friends in the near future. Yeah! read more

Having been to a few Yelp events here, I finally decided to check out Nomad as a regular patron. It's a comfortable space with lots of comfortable seating and intriguing wall art. Though my wife and I showed up not long before closing, we still received friendly service. I am, admittedly, not much of a wine drinker, but thankfully, Nomad offers quite a few meads as well. The coffee-infused Elevate, which is unlike anything I've found anywhere else, is quickly becoming a favorite. High Point is lucky to have a place like this. read more

Great new place in high point. A bit hidden amongst the furniture showrooms but part of the growing social district. Plenty of different wines to try and a few other drinks for non-wine drinkers. I was really anticipating the opening of this place because it meant that High Point's food and beverage scene was expanding even more! This place is located in an odd spot of downtown, near the furniture showrooms, so it wasn't too crowded nearby. Parking is accessible, although not abundant. The place itself is quite and open with a few different seating arrangements. One of the best parts is that they have a little room that gets great sunlight, and it's perfect for parties and showers! They don't serve food (only pre-package snacks), but you are allowed to bring in food if you wish. I love how they offer wine, beer, cider, and mead so that there is a little something for everyone! You can even get flights of three which allows you to try a few drinks before committing. I personally did not like any of the wines I tried but it could have just been the wines I selected. Overall, the wine, atmosphere, and service were good but I was not blown away. I'm not sure I'll return but I do recommend that people try it out for themselves. read more
