Cheers to Sunday funday, Cabernet and football at Po Po!
    Tanya R.

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon with just a few patrons- football was playing and drinks were flowing, so whats not to love?! I haven't been here in a while, but I remember how much I love the small hometown atmosphere and feel of the place. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have quite a few beverage options, lots of seating, games, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Got to remember this neighborhood gem next time I'm looking for a place to escape to for a drink!

Such a great local beer store and hang out spot! On the weekends they have food trucks which makes me want to spend a ton of time here on a Friday or Saturday night! Their constant rotation of unique beers make them appealing to everyone! Don't forget to try walk around and search for some rare beers! I recently got an Atrial Rubicite from them and didn't have to wait in a crazy line!

Nice, local hangout. Family friendly atmosphere with games for entertainment. Lots of drink choices, from draft, to bottles, to cans, wine, and even wine freezer pops! You can bring food in. They sometimes have food trucks in the evening. I would love to see food trucks more often, hopefully as the weather gets warmer.

I have been visiting Potent Potablrs since they opened almost 10 years ago. I visited for the first time when they first opened because they offered a Groupon. My husband and I fell in love with this little shop, the owner, and the town. We loved it so much we even moved to Jamestown! I love this little convenient location that I can walk to you to grab a great beer or participate in some of the great events hosted there. I also look forward to the excellent variety of food trucks. If you haven't stop by, definitely stop out and see Steve and grab a beer!

Potent Potables is a fun little wine shop that sells beers as well. Pretty cool concept that you can purchase alcohol to sip in the shop or on their patio. The wine that you can buy to drink onsite is in a can, not the best but it was fine. We eally enjoyed our visit, we will definitely come back again!

I just can't say enough about retailers like Potent Potables that are staying open in some capacity, braving the current COVID-19 challenges, and taking responsible steps to keep the economy and the dream alive. There's a hand sanitizer dispenser as soon as you walk in the door with instructions to use when entering and exiting. Somehow, and to my surprise, it wasn't slammed after work on Friday with folks looking to add a little cheer to their upcoming quarantined weekend. The selection is remarkable. Catawba Brewery's Peanut Butter Jelly Time is one of my all time favorite seasonal beers and generally difficult to find. Potent Potables had plenty. I also found a few other delicious gems including Trappiste Rochefort 8 and 10 in single bottles. Mine now! Call ahead as I think they have temporarily altered their hours since they are currently retail only (no serving/drinking in the store). But hey, at least that's something. Don't underestimate the importance of supporting local businesses during this incredibly difficult time. Potent Potables is one of those gems we need to stick around.

Nice Chill spot!. The pumpkin flavor "Pumking" beer was great. The chocolate flavor was good too. Their seating was adequate for how busy it was and the live musician was a nice place to have a casual hangout. They also have a wall of board games to choose from. So drink beer, chat and play games. This place however does not serve food but different food trucks come by everyday to serve food. You can eat outside or bring it in and drink beer. A very nice place, I'll be coming back.

Let me be clear: I like beer. Belgian beer, to be exact. Have no fear...The Brewer Kettle has a full array of beers to explore, and you can absolutely bring your wine-loving friends because there are bottles upon bottles of wine. This is a true chill spot. The kind of place where you sit back with friends, catch up, laugh, and - if you're in the mood - spark a conversation with the kind folks at the next table. The outdoor seating is a bonus, especially on a nice evening. The staff? Pleasant, relaxed, and low-key knowledgeable without being obnoxious or know-it-all-ish (which I appreciate). Here's the thing: next time friends are visiting from out of town, bring them here. It's an easy, laid-back vibe that just works. Now excuse me...I just wrapped up work and my husband and I are catching up...so I've gotta go. Hope to run into you here soon! Shout out: to Matt and Lilly. Appreciate the sharing!

They have a great selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. The THC/cbd drinks are becoming more popular and they have a solid selection of those. The bartender was very knowledgeable on the selection and offered a stout for me to try while I looked around. The inside is very relaxed while also appealing to the eye. Despite having to work New Years Eve day, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They also had a High Point police officer at the door ensuring no issues, I'm not clear if that's a daily thing, or just during busier times of the year. They carry a good selection of alcohol, in many cases, even offering several brands for more common items like vodka, whiskey, and bourbon. They don't sell any beer at the ABC store, and I don't frequent them though to be able to say if any do. But they cart the hard stuff, some mixers and a very small selection of snacks.

The group that I travel with is about 25 people total. Last week my friend and I went to buy a few things and the employee was very pushy for us to buy drink mixers, which we absolutely hate. We politely declined to buy them, paid for our stuff and left. Tonight we go again and he AGAIN tried to push us to buy nasty drink mixers, we politely declined AGAIN (same guy) and when it was time to pay for our 4 bottles of different liquors (don't judge) he said he couldn't sell to us because we had a TEXAS ID....REALLY?? REALLY??? WTF is that about? So if our ID is issued in Texas, somehow we can't buy liquor? That's weird, because he did last week, and every bar in town has had no problem with our Texas IDs. Funny rule for a liquor store in a town where 35,000 [eople come from all over the world for the furniture market. Also, my biggest problem was the mean and almost insulting way he said it. He was just a huge jerk. I would understand if that actually was the law and he explained it nicely, but it's like he got satisfaction telling us no. I seriously don't know what his problem is, but we are both pretty angry and we will just drive a few extra miles to avoid that total douche bag.
