Cool little spot to kick back and relax. A nice selection of wines by the glass to choose from. Service started off a bit slow and I had to wait for a while to order. There was only (I think) one person on duty and he was helping 2 people pick out a bottle. Another person handed me a menu to look over and when the guy was done, he poured my choice very quickly. A year later and the experience is still amazing. More people have been at the tastings than in previous years so it's nice to see people enjoying the spot. I was most recently there for a Tuscany wine tasting with friends. It was a wide variety of white and red wines and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Stopped in while waiting in line for longhorn steakhouse across the parking lot. First point, go anywhere else but longhorn for steak This place however was a good find. Cool concept with a ton of bottles of wine to choose from. You buy the bottle and can have as much or as little as you want then take the rest home without a re-corking fee. The staff was very personable and seemed very knowledgeable about wine. Helped pick out a bottle for her (while I picked a beer from their random selection of unique beers). This is our 2nd time here. The first time we visited, which was a few weeks ago, we joined their wine club. We were here today to pick up our first bottle which is for the month of September. We chose to start with the 1-bottle per month membership. The way it works is starting with the first Saturday of the month you can go and taste test all 5 bottles available for that month. So when we arrived, we sat at a table in some comfy white chairs and waited for the first sample. The ambiance is Unlike most places where you go to, for example, a bar and they serve you as you stand there, The Loaded Grape is a much more enjoyable experience. What they do is serve you wherever you are sitting, as though you had ordered a normal glass of wine. And when they serve the wine, they tell you all about it. Every. Single. Detail. It's so educational! Today Eric was working and this man is a walking, talking encyclopedia of wine knowledge. For every bottle, we discussed the grapes, the way wines have different names for the same grapes based on where the wine is from, and other details. My wife and I learned so much. They have $5 tastings on Sat and bottles starting at $12. This is perfect for a girls day or date. You can also bring in food since there's no food served. There are a few restaurants on the same shopping center, making it convenient. The owner is always nice and attentive. I love the loaded grape. read more

My husband and I come here at least once a month. We try to make it a point to go every first Saturday of the month between 2-4 PM for their Wine Club tasting which I'm a member of. I was subscribed to one bottle a month but on this visit I decided to upgrade to two each month. The owners, Andy and Danny are both friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My husband picks their brains with questions about wines! Lol There's a good amount of different seating available. From couches, comfy chairs and bar stools. The Loaded Grape is a great little wine and beer shop with a great location in Greensboro! Stopped in with a friend last night while our wives were busy and have a great time. The space is much larger than it seems from the outside. It was decently crowded, but there was plenty of space to move around and the noise level was nice in that you could still have a conversation easily. We wanted to try a couple wines and the staff was very helpful in pointing us in a good direction. You can buy a bottle of the shelf and they are glad to open it for you (you can cork it and take it home), and they also have a decent number of small bottles and some wine by the glass. The overall selection of wine was really good and they had a nice range from cheap wine up to some pretty big heavy hitters. All in all a good place to try something new and relax with a glass or two of wine! It seems like they also have a lot of events going on. Last night they were having a beer tasting and had some other events mentioned as well. I will certainly be back and will keep an eye out for some events they will be hosting at The Loaded Grape. read more

I have been to The Loaded Grape many times and it is the perfect spot to sit and have a glass of wine or beer and chat with friends! They have a massive selection of wine to choose from and the staff is very knowledgeable about their selection. If you prefer beer over wine they also have a nice variety of canned and bottled beer as well as some on draft. They only serve drinks, however you can bring food to enjoy there which is great. They do offer a wine club with perks and discounts for the members. I have also enjoyed some special events they have hosted where they partnered with local restaurants for a food and drink pairing that I highly recommend! They now offer additional seating and a space that you can reserve for special occasions as well. Checked this out during a synerG on tap event and the space is beautiful! I had never been before, but learned it was a different wine shop before becoming The Loaded Grape in late 2017. Their selection of wines (and beer!) is vast, and I loved the Barbera "on tap" and the Rickety Bridge Pinotage (2016) I tasted. There was a man from Rickety Bridge hosting wine tastings, which was fun. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the location - I live downtown and it is not likely I will come back here often due to the location. However, as shopping local is important to me, I am going to add this to my list of local places to buy wine for gifts (or myself). Overall, I highly recommend! read more

What a wonderful addition to the Greensboro eating and drinking choices. The space is airy and well-decorated. The beer and wine choices are excellent and the prices and pours very reasonable. If I could give this half a star I would. The customer service in this establishment was awful. The decor and the wine selection really made me want to enjoy it but the discrimination destroyed the experience. I am young black woman. Upon walking in I was not greeted but I decided to peruse the wine selection. While waiting 4 Caucasian couples entered and were welcomed instantly, warmly, and offered tasting. I had to ask a separate employee and was offered the tasting begrudgingly. During the wine tasting I was given significantly less than wine than all the other individuals. The person serving only directed the history and conversation towards the everyone who wasn't black . I felt uncomfortable, unwanted and will not return. read more
